StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 19/12/2006 18:57

Thats great new charleymouse. Really happy for you.

I am feeling the little one move a lot now and both DDs have felt him too but DP still hasn't. I even saw my stomach move yesterday which was great (and I have loads of flab to get past). DD2 is getting used to the fact it is a boy I think.

TwinkleTwinkleLupinsXmasLights · 19/12/2006 19:01

JonahB · 19/12/2006 19:17

Hi ladies,

Well, it?s lovely to have such good news to open this thread with

LV&T ? congratulations on your little boy!!!! You?ve nearly got your 5-a-side team. Why stop with this one ?Your poor DD though. On the bright side, she is going to be very popular with all her girl friends?..

CM ? I am so delighted for you. What a lovely lovely Christmas pressie!!!!!!!

Katy, I?m a Sale girl. Don?t tell your DH (shh!!!!) but I?m also a united fan (said in a loud whisper so he won?t hear?..)

I?m fine and well here. I can?t get over how huge I am. I?m already getting uncomfortable and my dear, trusted v-shaped pillow has come out of hibernation and joined me in bed. Apart from that, I feel great. Long may that last!!!!!!

Don't forget to let us know the info. What I'll do is make a list and we can update when we have births.

mkg, i love your list but i am not sure how it all applies to me since i will be moving to australia and the seasons are opposite down there. boo.

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 19/12/2006 19:33

Yeah it doesn't apply to you Jess. It just sucks to be you then doesn't it.

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 19/12/2006 19:36

Jess I just checked on weatherchannel.com. It averages 60 degrees F down there in May. You'll be just fine.

jessinwa · 19/12/2006 19:44

do i detect a bit of sarcasm there, mkg? if so, you are right. i am complaining for no good reason. i would trade all the nice weather and sandals in the world to be closer to my mama.

katybumps · 19/12/2006 19:48

LetitShnowLetitShnowLetitShnow · 19/12/2006 20:57

Katy congrats on the pink one, LVB&T congrats on another blue one and Charleymouse, just big, huge, happy congrats for your lovely news!

Did anybody see A Child Against All Odds last night? Those poor women going through all that. Wonderful that one of them eventually conceived twins, but the poor woman who is a midwife and can't get pregnant. I thank my lucky stars that I am pregnant, the struggles I had to get this way are nothing in comparison. Obviously if you didn't watch it I'm just rambling.

Had a great day, we're winding down at work as semester has finished so today was mostly spent eating cake, drinking tea and chatting. Tomorrow we're having a bit of a party and Thursday we think we might pack up and go home at lunchtime. Then I have 11 days off! Wooooohooooooo! Unlike other threads talking about work antics, we don't have sex on desks with wild abandon but us librarians do a mean tea and cake.

Beginning to get very fed up with TPT, I've gone back down to 7.5 sheets, same as about 12 weeks. And I'm 19 weeks now! Good news of today is that my pregnancy calendar reckons I'm exactly half way through on Christmas Eve. It's actually flying by now. My parents visited tonight. I haven't seen them for a couple of months and they were so shocked at how pregnant I look. My wonderful Dad has bought the baby both a complete Winnie the Pooh and complete Beatrix Potter set of hardbacks. He says he's bought them to read to him/her himself. I got a bit emotional remembering that he read them to me as a little un too. He's ordered the complete Roald Dahl too! And my Mum's in knitting overdrive. I think they're more excited than me. They're picking us up on Sunday so that we can spend Christmas with them and my two Grandmas. Feeling very festive!

Anyway, I've probably put you all to sleep...

Hello! I've been a bit rubbish at posting as tied up at work all the time and so haven't really caught up with you all yet. Hopefully, I can put this right as things are finally settling down again. Anyway. I hope you are all fine and dandy and settled in to the second trimester.

Also, just wanted to let you know that, after talking to some of the senior management staff about my salary situation, it now miraculously appears that a) I was right all along b) they won't be touching my salary c) they won't be touching my salary in the future if I have any further complications.

Hurrah! I did want to say thanks again to everyone who took the time to reply and offer advice and support - I really appreciated it.

SnowyMeadow · 19/12/2006 21:28

Creena - great news about the salary!

SOH - I think i have also shrunk as well!

Think i was 8.5 last week and am now 8sheets. Although i seem to have stayed the same size there is definately growth at the bottom of my bump. Have been getting a lot of movements and can actually see my belly moving.

I am taking my 20mth DS on the Watercress Line on Sunday (lovely old steam train that runs between Alton and Fourmarks or Alresford and Ropley in Hampshire) to see Father Christmas. This is something that my parents used to take me on. Santa gets on the train and delivers presents to the children whilst the parents are given a drink and a mince pie. Yummy

CreenaberrySauce · 19/12/2006 21:33

Just had a quick read -

YAY! for Charleymouse
YAY! for LVB&T
YAY! for Katy
In fact. YAY! for us all!

Cheers, Snowy! I forgot about TPT. I'll do mine in a little while after I've eaten (to boost up the measurement a bit)!
