Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 43rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 42nd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

You don't sound clueless Niff, I think we are all just guessing what's going on in our bodies in pg. Unless you've done it before I can't see how you'd recognise the sensation.
Jelly that would be pretty nuts. Put a 6 pack of beer in it and shout abuse at anyone who comes near you Grin
Good work on the Zumba Shell, I need to do more exercise, am getting fat thighs.
I bought some mat jeans yesterday (finally), they are so comfy, they feel like someone is hugging my bump.

jellypi3 · 10/01/2016 18:37

haha well you will all be pleased to hear i didn't go out with the pram, i managed to curb my nuttiness! soon though...soon!

niff as far as I know the only difference is BH's will go away after a time and aren't frequent or painful, whereas contractions obviously build in intensity over time.

lildottie · 10/01/2016 19:13

jelly Grin

pretzelpieces · 10/01/2016 23:37

jelly you nutter, we love you.

niff sleeping in shifts is clearly just the only way beyond 36 weeks!

gouda rustles pompoms hopefully

Had a nice baby shower afternoon tea today (see pic). Very tired now! Hope I sleep as I'm planning on sneaking back to work for a meeting tomorrow. They'll be planning projects for the rest of 2016 and I want to be clued in for if/when I'm ready to get a bit involved again!

Mmmm that looks like a good afternoon tea pretz ...hope u slept OK Brew

How is it Monday already?! I had a crap nights sleep so am now angry, despite quite a nice weekend Sad

Have dentist to look fwd to today, anyone else up to something more fun??

honeysucklejasmine · 11/01/2016 08:13

Looks lovely Pretzel! Glad you enjoyed yourself. Smile

5hell we are supposed to be getting our fencing replaced today. Tradesman was coming on 7th, then on 9th... We'll see if it goes ahead today!

I have woken up really hungry today. Not sure why but I am starving! Guess I should get up and hunt down some food.

KateBeckett · 11/01/2016 08:19

That afternoon tea looks lush pretz Cake Grin Cake

Fell off the bread as have been a tad busy getting the keys to our first house! We put the offer in early July last year, so it's taken bloody forever. Really glad we've got the keys now! We are having a month of decorating and faffing before we move in. It's tiny!! But should fit the 3 of us in for a while...

Also, so pleased with myself this week - I've made my first baby related purchase. I had my heart set on a cossato close to me cot, but they cost nearly £300 and we're not too flush... Found one second hand on eBay and won it for £47! Picked it up yesterday and it's in good shape too! Whooooo!

5hell did you enjoy Zumba? I have a Zumba wii game which is quite good fun Grin plus then no one can see me lolloping around!

KateBeckett · 11/01/2016 08:20

Bread?! Fred!!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 11/01/2016 08:23

Can't stop crying over David Bowie. Now I know how our parents felt when John Lennon died... Sad

ThursdayLastWeek · 11/01/2016 08:29

Love a good bargain Kate and congrats on your new home! Exciting times.

That tea looks bloody ansum pretz and good luck for sneaking to work today.

sky I've never been a massive Bowie fan, but I'm so shocked at the news this morning. My first trimester with DS was basically the London Olympics, and I can't hear 'We Could Be Heroes' without a little feeling of reminiscent morning sickness. I'm mostly surprised that's it's such a surprise actually - how did they keep his illness so quiet?

I think this baby might be a bit bigger than my MW thinks, it's very obviously moved from the kicking and punching movements to rolling and turning which leads me to believe it's running out of room Grin huzzah for elcs!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 11/01/2016 08:57

Yes! Bowie! I am so surprised, I didn't know he was ill. Sad

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 11/01/2016 09:17

BTW just tearing up a little when ai think about it. Not full blown bawling (yet, that will probably come if someone looks at me wrong or says how bloody big I am )

jellypi3 · 11/01/2016 10:09

Even I was upset at the news and I'm not a bowie fan but do appreciate his contribution to music. Huge loss x

CarrotPuff · 11/01/2016 10:31

Pretz that tea looks lush, v jealous!

5hell my morning fun was going to gp getting a swab to test of it's thrush or something else Confused

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 11/01/2016 13:02

Such sad news about Bowie, as others have said. I am a big fan of his music (and him!), so it's really sad, but I'm not the sort of person to get hysterical over someone I've never met dying (unlike a friend who took actual time off work when John Peel died Hmm )

Still, it must be hard for his family so soon after his birthday Sad

pretzel That afternoon tea looks amazing! I see scones and sandwiches but no cake. I do hope that there was cake!!!

5hell - Do you have the possibility for a nap? If you are sleeping badly at night, it might help. It's amazing what a 60-90 minute nap can do!!! I hope it all went well at the dentist as well - hopefully nothing awful like planned root canal? Grin. I had my FINAL toxoplasmosis blood test done today - hurrah!

kate - Amazing news about the house!! Congratulations!!!! I can't even imagine owning a property. It seems so grown up as well! I could probably stretch to a (MIDDLE OF THE RANGE) dolls house, but that's it.... I hope that you have a lot of fun "home-ifying" it and making it feel like your own! Smile

My sister asked me if I'd had the baby yet this morning. Hmm Umm.....don't worry, we won't forget to mention it!!!

FeatheredTail · 11/01/2016 13:11

5hell I feel your pain having woken up at 3:30am and not being able to get back to sleep until about 7am. URGH!

Had my second 20 week scan today because they couldn't check his/her spine last time. Little blighter was still being awkward, but they managed to do the check and MiniFeather is HEALTHY! Spine all good. I'm so pleased.

Really knackered now and working from home. Also starting to feel a bit achey and my stomach is unsettled. Really hope this isn't the start of something.

Kate nice work on the house!

Carrot hope your fanny is OK and not being too troublesome.

Pretz if I didn't feel so off, I'd inhale that afo tea. Looks lovely.

honeysucklejasmine · 11/01/2016 13:25

Oooh Feathered, any pics?

FeatheredTail · 11/01/2016 14:09

I gave the pics from today to my Mum Honey - she's meeting her W.I mates for lunch today, so thought I'd let her do some showing off! Not a massive change since my scan on 23 December and annoyingly, I didn't see any willy/balls/labia jumping out at me!

Darn it - haven't wanted to ask for the sex outright, but I was kind of hoping it would be nice and obvious!

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 11/01/2016 14:19

feathered - aww that's lovely! I hope you managed to get some nice images. I found the vast majority of the scan shots were sort of indecipherable, so it's always nice when you get one that actually looks vaguely human! I hope she has a good time showing off! Maybe she can take bets on the sex!

I've been worrying myself a bit about the fact that baby cheese is back to back. I knew it meant that labour could be a bit more difficult, but I had no idea exactly how much more difficult Confused. Considering he hasn't changed position in the last two months, and is already pressed against the cervix, I don't think he'll be changing position either.

Erk.

FeatheredTail · 11/01/2016 14:44

Gouda no direct experience of birth whatsoever, but my sister's first baby was a back to back birth. It was a hard labour, but compared to the birth of her second baby - who was almost 11lbs - it was a doddle Grin. Someone on the mumming thread might be able to give you a realistic account? Birth is daunting enough without building up any further anxieties, hope you aren't worrying too much.

jellypi3 · 11/01/2016 14:52

I think being back to back means labour tends to be longer and more painful (sorry). I think over here they will recommend you have an epidural if baby is b2b because of it, but I know in France they advocate epidurals anyway.

Hopefully it's not too bad, I think there's a website dedicated to exercises you can do to move baby?

ThursdayLastWeek · 11/01/2016 15:23

Back to back better than transverse head down I think though gouda - painful, no doubt, but the baby can still come out that way. And even straightforward births aren't exactly pain free.

No matter what happens you'll be in the right place to get the right help, and that baby WILL arrive sooner rather than later.

5hell · 11/01/2016 15:32

ooh kate congratulations on the house! how exciting! :) I did enjoy Zumba thanks, I think it was at a good level for 28w preggo me; i had wanted to do pump, but didn't get up early enough to fit in brekkie beforehand.

carrot you definitely 'win' on the crap appointment front - hope swab comes back clear and you can just get something to soothe the itch.

yay for good scan feathered - obvs you're not meant to find out the sex. now have a nice rest - hope you feel fine asap. i would love to see chubs again, but obviously dont want there to be a reason to need to.

gouda isn't there a chance minicheese could turn anytime, including once contractions start (or am i imagining that fact?), if not i'm sure i've read many more "baby was b2b but labour was much better than i expected" stories than "b2b was dreadful" stories. gx for you regardless.

Dentist was fine, I got complemented on my oral hygiene and don't need a clean or any treatment [insert smug emoji here]. No chance for napping until I'm home from work sadly, but will endeavor to leave promptly today and may have a ridiculously early night.

lastly...does anyone else only really get kicked in one place? almost all my kicks are under my right boob, with only very occasional and much gentler sensations elsewhere - normal?

Nefertitts · 11/01/2016 15:44

I haven't had a baby today but I did have a big fat juicy bloody ribeye steak for dinner. Figured at 40+3 it couldn't really hurt!

Gouda microniff is also currently b2b. It does mean labour is more painful and I think most women end up having an epidural but I think you were planning on that anyway right? If you google spinning babies there's lots of exercises you can do to try and turn them. I've done lots and she's still undecided - sometimes b2b, transverse or just right... They can and do turn in labour too.

5hell totally normal too. I get kicked under right boob, bum sticking out just on the left of belly button and head grinding above left hipbone! You can look at belly mapping, again on spinning babies website, to try and work out where baby is lying based on where you feel movement!

CarrotPuff · 11/01/2016 16:24

Gouda my DS was b2b during labour, but turned during it and came out the right way. I've heard most b2b babies turn.

There are some exercises you can do too, also avoid slumping on sofa, and rather try and sit leaning onto smth - it encourages them to turn.
