Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 43rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 42nd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Holy shit 5hell, I want a labour like that! Congratulations to your friend!

Sky sexy times done. I had a salty goodness pizza... Anchovies, capers, olives. Yum. Ordinarily wouldn't eat that, but baby wanted it and it was awesome.

honeysucklejasmine · 04/01/2016 22:08

We have a waterproof ikea gazebo. But it doesn't have sides. Shower curtains? Wink

lildottie · 04/01/2016 22:49

Exhausted. I hate January.

sky you're not old, your heart is still young ;)

Check out you honey keeping up the jsing rep! not been too lacking here suprisingly

molly amazingly positive birth story, congrats. Hope you start to feel better soon. Don't stress about ds1 and gps. That's what gps are for. I always loved spending time with my nan from as far back as I remember.

jellypi3 · 05/01/2016 06:52

Go you honey getting in the shags. Sex is becoming a slight military operation in my bedroom at the moment so I'm not enjoying it that much!

lil sorry Jan is shit? Is it work related?

sky I have no idea what varicose veins are but you have my sympathies regardless. Pizza sounds amazing though.

I'm very flatulent this morning. DP didn't pick up his lunch I slaved over last night so now I'm awake and tempted to just go eat it myself.

honeysucklejasmine · 05/01/2016 07:38

Lol Jelly, my bump was a bit sore afterwards. Shaggers remorse?

BFP on undergrads!

My baby does not get on board with this "lay in your left" shit. Wiggles much more on the right. Very annoying.

DH and I have antenatal class tonight. Hopefully we can park on the road cause our hospital is v expensive. I assume I don't need my notes? It's one of two classes and is two hours long. Any guesses what it will be about?

Seeing midwife on Weds. I am not feeling these last few weeks... Seem to just be waiting for something to go wrong. Hmm

jellypi3 · 05/01/2016 08:14

Yay for bfp :)

I didn't do NHS classes so don't know what you will do honey, if it's anything like nct it will be mostly focused around what the expect when you go into labour, what pain relief is available, what the 3 stages of labour are, and what intervention might be necessary.

Sorry you are feeling like something will go wrong. Just remember you are on the home stretch now. Baby is almost ready to be born and if anything is wrong they will act to get baby out. You're a lot further along than when you lost the fluid before.

Ive also got my 36w appointment today, I've got a shed load of questions for my mw. She's gonna love me.

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/01/2016 08:22

Morning all.

I did the NHS antenatal classes honey I seem to remember the birth one being about
the start of labour, what's happening inside you and when to call the MW etc.
What to expect when in labour, discussion of pain relief
V tiny part about possible interventions.

To be frank it didn't prepare me in the slightest - but I didn't have a natural labour.

I also had a BFing group,,which was also quite informative but zero help because I simply don't think anyone can understand the realities of BFing until she's doing it.
But that's just me Smile

5hell I'm not sure I'd fancy a labour quite that short! A nice happy medium where you can get mentally prepared but not be in pain for hours.

OP posts:
5hell · 05/01/2016 09:56

indeed thurs! it's her 3rd and even the first was only 6-ish hrs start to finish. she saw the mw yesterday am who i think basically said she'd have it by the end of the day, and she did. she must have a sneaky/silent early labour phase (haven't done any classes yet, so dont know the technical term)

sky i may not have found any varicous veins yet, but i do have a horrid spot behind my knee and my tits are so veiny I can actually feel the indent of one the veins - truly pregnancy is soooooooo sexy!

Peenut · 05/01/2016 10:11

Hats off to all your nesting/organised Viroids. Please can you come to mine and maybe just tidy up for now?! There's so many imminently due Viroids –YAY!

Yay to an undergrads BFP too! Will pop over and take a look!

Under one hour labour sounds mental/amazing 5Hell, has that happened to you friend before if it was expected?

Scan yesterday was all good! PHEW! Me and DH were in a right state before, hardly saying a word and I just felt on the verge of tears (think DH did too).

This might sound stupid but I didn't realise the baby is jiggling around in there so much –the bean was having a full on disco wriggle! Sonographer made me press on my tummy to make baby move into a better position, when she scanned again the baby was bobbing around everywhere (or that's how it seemed on the screen!)

Kept waiting for sonographer to say something was wrong but she said it all looked fine and there was nothing that concerned her, but they can't totally confirm until 20 week scan. Oh god! The stress continues! (I'm really just grasping that I will now be worried forever!) BUT so relieved that everything is developing the way it should and I can now think about the next stage in the game ... telling clients I'm pregnant and my side of the family ... not DH's side as we now know about MIL telling them for us of course. THANKS. Not.

Kate sonographer had a short blonde bob, older lady ish and although not off with us or anything, was just quite straight faced and went very quite for unnervingly long periods of time! Wonder if she was the same one you had!?

I'm still in bed! Have told myself it's OK to not go into work this morning because I am pregnant and full of snot, joys of self employment but I'll pay at the end of the week when everything I've ignored backs up!!

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/01/2016 10:21

Wonderful news pee! And it is amazing how much they're jiggling in there isn't it?
When this bean was in the wring position, the sonographer had me raise my hips off the table and bang them back down three times, and it totally changed direction in there! Made me feel a bit sorry for it on parkrun mornings!

OP posts:
Peenut · 05/01/2016 10:41

Ha ha! I know, poor thing Thursday! It got jiggled around quite a bit on New Years Day Parkruns! I didn't realise the bobbing around action was quite so animated!

Sonographer gave me a funny look when I said I didn't realise that the baby moved so much and when I asked where my uterus was. I obviously know the rough location but I just meant how high up is it at the moment!

Oh and Due Date is 10th July –one day sooner than I thought!

And out of interest –did anyone else find their partner went through a similar emotional journey on scan day?

Step one: Fear/worry
Step two: Shock/stunned silence
Step three: Fear about worthiness/ability as a parent of small bean child.
Step four: Immense male pride and cave man style self satisfaction that his sperm made small bean child.

Men are weird.

pretzelpieces · 05/01/2016 12:45

pee hooray for a good scan!! Brilliant news. As for my DP his feelings are hard to discern as he's autistic but he said he felt happy and it confirmed what he thought - that everything would be okay. Think he was more happy that I was happy! Definitely he seemed to get the pregnant as more real to him after that, whereas it already was for me having felt sick as a dog for 12 weeks!

jellypi3 · 05/01/2016 12:54

Great news pee! I had to do the bum shuffle at 20 weeks to get baby moving because she had her hands in front of her face, then had order to go and eat chocolate! Was the best day ever!

My DP was a massive bundle of nerves before each of our scans, wouldn't eat/drink/talk. After each scan he was like a new person.

Nefertitts · 05/01/2016 12:56

Hoorah Pee! Great news on the scan, and yes, it is absolutely amazing seeing this little thing you made wriggling away in there. I think the 12 week scan was my favourite, as by 20 weeks you know there's a baby in there and you can probably feel it. Finding out the sex is amazing and the reassurance is great, but I reckon 12 weeks is the first time it hits you what your body is actually doing whilst you're moping around feeling tired and sick. It was for me anyway! GrinGrin

I can be of no help on classes I'm afraid, I've not done any due to being geographically mal-located throughout much of this pregnancy Hmm.

I think Gouda is doing a bébé...

Microniff watch continues... With no updates. Saw the doctor this morning. Head still not engaged. Due date is Friday. Don't hold your breaths viroids! My biggest preoccupation at the moment is poowatch - I've been constipated for days and have been slowly upping the ante from prunes to prune juice to bean chilli with brown rice to fybogel to milk of magnesia. Still no movement. The amount of fibre I've consumed leads me to suspect when it does happen it's going to be like 5hell's friend's labour...Confused

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 05/01/2016 12:57

Hello all, just checking in. Still pregnant over here. The horrible restless feeling only lasted that one day, and now it's back to bizarre sleeping patterns and lots of difficulty in walking. I feel like my latent stage of labour is going to last another 9 months! I've often got slight backache, or slight cramps, or a very hard bump...but it never seems to actually develop into anything. ANYTHING. I'm beginning to get paranoid that my body is as clueless as the rest of me and doesn't really know what it needs to do to get the baby out...lol.

Overall, feeling grumpy and irritated.

Peenut - congratulations on your scan!!! They are incredible aren't they!!! Sounds like you had a bit of a dancer as well which must have been cute to have seen.

honey I don't think you need your notes. It's just a general information class, so no need for any personal info. Maybe bring some ID if you've pre paid for the class though? The class over here with partners was focused on the signs of labour, what you can do at home to check it's real labour or not, when to go to the hospital, what happens in a normal delivery, what we could discuss beforehand...etc. It was quite practical and logistics focused, but meant that you are both on the same page when stuff starts happening.

Niff - Good luck for the home stretch! I'm glad that you are still getting good medical treatment over in foreign parts - that must be really reassuring!! Maybe micro niff just likes being miniature, to try and be kind to mum on the way out! Grin Are you quite petite yourself? I always assumed that smaller ladies would make smaller babies (otherwise, ouch!).

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/01/2016 12:58

I know with DS that we walked away from the 12 week scan with DH finally able to get his head around the reality of a baby in there. It's not that he didn't believe me, but he was still pleased to see actual physical evidence!

OP posts:
goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 05/01/2016 13:01

Niff - On the bum front, over here they recommend that you take a strong laxative when you start getting regular contractions (the sort of tablets you shove up your arse?). That way, the entire universe falls out of your colon well before you go to hospital.

It's by no means compulsory, but they strongly recommend it to prevent women from worrying about shitting themselves when they're trying to push, and so not giving it their all.

Might be worth considering if you don't get any luck with less...er...invasive measures?!

honeysucklejasmine · 05/01/2016 13:35

DH was a mess before the 20 week scan. He's quite cute now, touching the bump and talking to the baby. Not long convos, just "hello baby" in a silly voice. We're not very good for long emotional speeches so that's all either of us is really comfortable with whilst baby is still in utero.

Baby has been going mental today. Having a good roll around earlier, now just wriggling. Will keep an eye on it, but seeing midwife tomorrow morning anyway.

Thanks for input on classes ladies.

FeatheredTail · 05/01/2016 15:10

Pee that's wonderful news! And yes, husbands are strange beings. Mine was a mix of bag of nerves, silent swelling pride and smugness and then breezy I knew it would all be fine cool.

My work office mate (tiny room, just the two of us) just got a positive FRER after an early miscarriage in November. I'm so happy for her! Plus, I got to see a positive FRER which I just LOVE. I miss peeing on stuff.

Gouda that laxative sounds like an awesome idea. I wonder if you can get them during pregnancy....

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 05/01/2016 15:12

Hooray for good scan!

Saw my consultant today. Have to go back in 6 weeks but everything seems ok and he gave me a scrip for the fucking relentless reflux. Also signed up for birthing and baby care classes. Have done them before but barely remember and this is DPs first birth/newborn. Went over hospital bag list with him and discussed bits we need to get. Overall feeling very excited and happy that we are in the home stretch... I have another 5 weeks or so of work and then it will be nesting time SmileFlowersBrewChocolateStar

jellypi3 · 05/01/2016 16:17

feathered i was going through all my old scan pics earlier and found my bfp pictures, my first FRER was invisible haha! I actually got a bit emosh at seeing the lines on the various tests and how they all got stronger over the few months weeks I was pissing on sticks!

KateBeckett · 05/01/2016 16:22

pee hooray for good scan news! And, yes I think we had the same lady!! Grin did she press really hard?! I found it a bit painful, but everyone I've mentioned it to does Hmm so I think I'm just a wuss!

I was the same before the scan, could barely breathe let alone talk. Miroid was annoyingly chipper and chatty and convinced everything was fine. I'm glad he was right, but it did make him a bit smug!

Hope things get moving soon gouda !

Preg pilates last night was lush. I didn't realise my muscles had gotten so tight until I stretched them all out! I was by far the least preggo person there- one woman was 37 weeks Shock she said she might not be back next week if she's popped!!

Mermaid36 · 05/01/2016 16:35

Huzzah for a good scan Pee I haven't even got my date through yet!

Peenut · 05/01/2016 16:54

Thanks for the well wishes Viroids! Glad to her your Miroids had their own unique reactions ... you are right Niff, was just the best thing seeing what's actually in there! Until yesterday I had days where I felt sure I'd made the whole thing up.Keep up posted on spontaneous poo birth when it comes, maybe don't go far from a toilet after all the fibre, just in case. Wheee! Plop.

Pretz that's good it became more real for your DH after the scan, I do get the impression DH got a slight shock at what was in there yesterday. I did too to be fair!

Just walked the dog (thought I better make some attempt to get dressed today) and did a little skip thinking of my womble passenger jigging about in there

Kate she did press quite hard! And she asked me to lie closer to her so I basically was half lying on her knee! Slightly awkward to be being prodded while trying not to blub, or piss myself while lying on a sonographer. Pilates, or pirates as I like to call it sound goood! I'm going on Thursday I think, if I can stop the sniffles.

Feathered aw, how nice for your friend to find out she as a positive result, fingers crossed for her!

Peenut · 05/01/2016 16:55

Can you chase it up through the midwife *Mermaid? When did you expect to have it?
