Anyone else eating like a horse? I just can't stop eating, i'm not even sure that i'm hungry, and it's anything that is lying around- biscuits, fruit, mushrooms. The only thing that stops me is sitting at the computer which is as far away fom the kitchen as i can get!

Hi all,

Kyte; So glad you had a positive meeting with your mw I had a homebirth with dd2 and I plan to do the same again this time. Much easier and so much more relaxed and less sterile

With reference to finding out the sex of the baby I will wait until liitle one is born as it has been the one thing to help me have two easy births the sheer excitment of finding out what I've been carrying for the last 9 mths but each to their own and it's individual choice.

Think my energy is coming back slowly and defo the sex... was like a rampant rabbit when pg with last 2 so it has been very odd not feeling quite so horny this time. but I think since my boobs have grown (and I no longer look like a pre pubescent teenager) feeling much sexier...You may well laugh but just you first timers wait till you've breastfed and see wot happens!! No i'm not scare mongering just my sarcastic wit and humour

Take care all

This scan piccie is great.

I will reply to you newbies as Saf1 is keeping quiet, but I'm sure you've already sussed out what she is implying.

I used to have nice firm pert breasts (34B) before I had DD and breastfed her, and since then they have become very squidgy and saggy (although cup size still the same).

I am now also enjoying the firmness and extra cup size whilst pregnant.

I should also advise you to make sure you feed evenly from both breasts if you breastfeed. I preferred feeding on one particular side early on as it left my right hand (i'm right-handed) free to operate TV remote, hold a glass of water, eat my tea. This meant that one breast produced a lot more milk as it was being used more, and it was hard to get DD to feed more from the other to even things up as she got older, as she preferred that side as it had more milk! It has stayed larger too and I hear it's likely that it will produce more next time but I will be trying to even this up as my boobs are decidedly unbalanced as a result!

Thanks chooster for your info. My next step wass to try and research on the net which is sometimes a bad thing to do!! I feel better knowing it is a slim chance.

Hi All and congratulations.

I haven't caught up with the whole thread but wanted to join in and let you know that my due date is 9 July.

I think I have also been lucky that I was still the same bra size after breastfeeding, as some friends have been left with very little up top. I breastfed for about 8 months although I was just expressing for the last month because I was back at work and DD preferred the bottle anyway (and I didn't particularly enjoy it either).

I have heard that for some women, their breasts end up larger - but mainly the ones who were already large-chested and didn't want to be any bigger!

earlyriser · 17/01/2007 18:36

firststar, i don't want to presume but i think kyte was 'groaning' at the pun? and not in pain.
I've just managed to catch up a bit with the messages, but skimming rather than proper reading. I didn't want to know the sex of my dd but would't mind knowing about this one, anyway my area won't tell so unless i see any dangly bits at my next scan it will be a nice surprise on the day.
As for boobs, they say that bf doesn't make them go saggy but considering the amount of times a day they go from enormous and hard to floppy and squidgy you'd have to have super elastic for them not to go a bit saggy. don't let this put you off though, it is well worth it and there are always push up bras for after
It's horrendous the treatment some of you have been getting at the hands of the 'professionals' it would really make you distrustful. hoe you all get better experiences form now on 9Kyte, your comm midwife sounds great.
I really wanted a home birth last time but the mw were never terribly keen on it and in the last few weeks claimed a staff shortage and were unable to commit to it. i was gutted but in the end had dd at a wonderful comm maternity unit and had a fab waterbirth.
Phew, sorry if i've missed anything/one out.

Good evening all!

I don't want to tempt fate but have to share that this is the first day for as long as I can remember that I haven't felt sick and have really enjoyed my food...fingers crossed that this is the start of the so far mythical blooming phase!

I can't believe how lovely and clear the scan pictures posted on here are. My 12 week scan was a disaster picture wise because the baby would not stay still even for a second.

I came away convinced that it's definitely a sports mad hyper active boy (just like its daddy!)but made the mistake of saying this to a lovely yet crazy american friend of mine who seriously asked me if maybe I should take ritalin for the rest of my pregnancy!

Hope everyone's week is going ok...roll on the weekend and a lie in!

Take Care xx

twoplusone · 17/01/2007 21:13

weddingcake- at your american friend..

When I had the 12week scan with DD she wouldnt keep still it took them ages as she kept flying away from the scanner ..... further on in the pg she was always moving about, and used to push the scanner and the heart moniters when they touched my tummy...

DS was jumping on the 12week scan but movement was very little throughout the pg.. even when i was in labour with him his heart rate stayed consistent hardley any dips or accelerations.. they wanted to csection me at one point due to previous section and thefaact that he didt respond to contractions... he is just like his dad sooo laid back and calm..

waughling away there sorry!!,,

This one was jumping about too!!

Had abusy night tonight moved all the moving boxes from the cellar (79 intotal) to the end of the street for the bullk rubbish collevtion in t he morning.... the cellar room they were in is really big..never realised it before.. I did get sme help with the bigger boxes (the last 4) from the bloke in the house opposite... need a bath now though to realx... promise though now no more lifting for me can now relax everything else can wait for dh to get home and he can out his new found muscles to work!!!.

lynnec · 17/01/2007 22:28

twoplusone, you are still doing too much, please take it easy, your stressing me out with all the things you have done over the last couple of weeks, that bath was well deserved!! Put your feet up now!!
