Trying to start a new thread before we run out of space, haven't done it before so hopefully it works

So I just popped over to a friend's house for a cup of tea and was beyond mortified when I looked in her mirror (leaving) that my boobs appear to have, ahem, outgrown their bra and my nips were quite clearly no longer contained within it Confused Blush (but thankfully still covered by top)... So I guess it's time to buy new bras.

Mel where is £50 for a scan in Edinburgh?!

Mine says girl too! I have no preference. DH would love a boy as he is the last male and he'd like to pass on his name. However, all of the names he has suggested so far are girls names!

Lol Loki - mibi he has a 6th sense haha
Anyone thinking of a gender scan later on ? I'm torn whether to or not , we didn't have one last time and I loved not knowing at the end bcoz it made it an extra surprise as she popped out , this time I'm thinking bcoz it #2 I would like to know so I can be prepared .. Can't decide .. Have plenty time to think about it tho lol X

Mine says girl but I'm convinced I'm having a boy. Since I've got at least one of each now, I'm not sure whether to find out the sex or not. I probably won't be patient enough to wait!

I feel the same G! We didn't last time and it was lovely when dh announced 'it's a girl!' as she popped out. However, this time I'm not sure. I'm going to see if dd wants to find out I think she is desperate for a sister (she doesn't know yet but always talks about wanting a sister) so she might need a bit of time to get used to the idea.

Mine says girl too!

Kaytee, I paid £99 for the 11 week scan we booked for before Christmas. I think it varies a lot around the country.

Bear - abc4d, it was sunnyscot who wrote it on here a while ago, if you put in SALE2015 it reduces the scan to £50! I don't think I would be prepared to pay £100. When I hear of people having them at £35 I don't even want to pay £50! Lol!

I don't mind what we have as long as it is healthy Smile

Forgot to comment on the weight chat earlier. I never thought I would be one of those worrying during pregnancy but I so am. My legs feel like tree trunks and my muffin top seems to have an extra layer of fat on it already! I'm 5ft 3 and 9.5 stone. I used to be 8 stone but after my op and several strong painkillers/ medications I piled it on and even though I'm off them all now, I'm struggling to shift any. I know it's partly because of lack of exercise. I just don't seem to have enough energy (even before the preg) since my op. I get tired very quickly.

The Chinese calendar was wrong for two of mine. I have all boys so fully expect another one. We won't be finding out at the 20 week scan.

Report
Mordirig · 25/11/2015 18:51

I have a strong feeling this one is a boy, the Chinese chart says Girl, but I checked against my other 2 and they are wrong, so maybe I always get the opposite?!
I can only think of Boy names this time and I could only think of the right gendered names for my other pregnancies.
I wouldn't mind either way tbh, but I think I'm right, it would be super weird if everyone here had the same gender :)

OMG!!!! I'm logged off for a week and you motormouths are on thread 3!!!! Shock

Will take me a while to catch up...hope you lovely ladies and lil bumps are well!

I had a scare on Tuesday. Excellent treatment from my emergency gp who referred me for a scan as wanted to rule out ectopic. Saw little bean and heartbeat. Pain was due to a cyst on my ovary. I did hear the nurse say a lot of bowel gas Blush and she was using the internal probe like a joystick but I didn't care Grin

How are you all hiding stuff from work? I think my lot have guessed. I'm open about how unwell I am and cried in the office. I must look a wreck!

xxx

Mel - the stubborn muffin top! I have it too I'm 5-4 and 8.10 stone but have a chubby ring round my mid drift and is very hard to shift , I lost 8 pounds while TTC and the stomach area hardly changed Sad doesn't help being short lol X
We are just waiting for 12 week scan as not sure about prices of early scans near us 99 seems a lot to pay and we don't have that to spend this time of year sadly X

Lol! Haha! Definitely motor mouths!!

I've not told work. I told one colleague (a male) but that's it. I want to tell my line manager as he is such a great guy but don't want him to tell his line manager (our big manager).

So apart from my mum, mil, auntie and now colleague no one knows. My cousin just told me her sister is expecting and is 12 weeks ! I'm desperate to tell them but not going to because it's just so early.

6+3

I think it's nice to have the surprise. We did with first one but would be good to sort out the clothes and get rid if we don't need pink anymore.

I am very lucky to have got that treatment. The reassurance seemed to make pain go away so maybe it was exasperated with worry x

Sorry to hear sad news on prior thread.

Had flu jab today along with DC. Had to spell out p-r-e-g-n-a-n-t so little ears didn't overhear! Am 7+5 but no booking in for another 2 weeks. Reckon it's unlikely I will get a pre-Xmas scan. Tempted to go private so can hopefully announce to family over Xmas but don't want to book just yet.

Got a lot of work drinks etc and normally I like a good few wines at such things. Going to have to be inventive...
