Aww that's great news!!! I wish I was put forward.. They put me a week back but I'm hoping it'll sort itself on the 12 week scan.

Got booking appt on Tuesday.

Wanting so sorry I never ignored your message this morning, I must have just missed it though, somehow. Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm sure things will be better once it's all resolved. Like others have said maybe there is a silver lining somewhere.

Feeling gassy as well! Just want to sit on the loo and fart away lol!!! Also feeling constipated. And really sick today. Never managed lunch so had a healthy juice from a juice bar in the shopping centre. Off work tomorrow for hubby bday, cooking him a leg of lamb??? Never done one before so wish me luck!

redstrawberries101 · 03/12/2015 15:26

Do they do anything at the booking appt which confirms your pregnancy? I'm so paranoid. Would love some extra comfort.

Cheery1 · 03/12/2015 15:48

Great news Allthegood! So pleased all is well.

Mel - sorry you're feeling rubbish today. Lucky hubby that you're cooking lamb, it'll be delicious I'm sure!

They don't usually do anything at booking apt. It seems to be to check your health and to get you in the system. You'll be given a load of stuff to read as well. Mine was with my GP so I don't know if that's different……it's all a bit wooly really considering what a big deal it is to us.

Kaytee1987 · 03/12/2015 16:52

Is it mad that I want to do a clear blue digital test to see how many weeks come up? Total waste of money right? X

redstrawberries101 · 03/12/2015 16:55

Yea total waste because after a certain number of weeks the hormone stops rising and the clear blue doesn't go beyond 3+ anyway?

BelOfTheBall79 · 03/12/2015 17:07

Ugh when does this sick feeling go away? Can ladies who already have children put my mind at rest that this doesn't stay for full 9 months?!

BelOfTheBall79 · 03/12/2015 17:08

Glad to hear the scan went so well allthegood! Hoping for positive news from wanting too.

SoniaShoe · 03/12/2015 17:15

No bel don't worry it usually goes by 12 weeks. Mine is starting to get better at 9+5 it's not as string any more. It might come back though I suppose.

kaytee I did a test today! But a cheapy one. I'll probably just keep doing them until I use them up whenever I'm feeling unsure. Not worth buying a digital though.

Popped in to see if any news on scans. Lovely news allthegood your message made me Grin

Kaytee1987 · 03/12/2015 17:16

Mel didn't realise it didn't go beyond 3 thought hcg kept growing until around 12 weeks so assumed the tests would show up til 12 for some reason xx

Gx91 · 03/12/2015 18:23

Hey all!
Allthegoodnames- glad ur scan went well congrats ! Must b nice being told ur further on that u thought! X

I'm joining the gassy club my arse is like a bazooka ! I have to let them out or a get very bad pain ! Nothing elegant about pregnancy really is there!! Grin xxx

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 03/12/2015 18:51

My understanding is that there isn't much point in doing tests for reassurance - they will still keep showing as positive even for a little while after a miscarriage because it takes a while for the HCG to disappear.

Basically they aren't particularly smart - they can detect a hormone but not tell you if it's rising or falling, or what the level is (beyond a bit of very basic stuff that the conception indicator ones can manage). So it's not really going to tell you anything useful. No harm in using up ones you've got lying around, but definitely a waste of money to buy new ones.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 03/12/2015 19:22

Thank you everyone hoping all the good news keeps rolling in for everyone else's scans and it's lovely to be a few days ahead.

I know it's completely irrational but I've also been testing as well so you're not alone Kaytee I did another test yesterday and it was slightly fainter than before and I freaked out a bit until Google told me that can happen when you're far along and pee is too concentrated. All it does is cause worry though so best to step away from the tests Grin

Bonxie · 03/12/2015 20:09

Hello everyone, I've not been able to keep up properly, but have been crossing my fingers for all of us. Still feeling sick and more tired, am somewhere between 8 + 3 and 9 + 3. Seem to have a lot of water retention and an unslakable thirst, especially at night. Will try to keep up!

redstrawberries101 · 03/12/2015 20:12

Kaytee - I know lots of people are testing so hope you didn't find my message harsh! I have personally stayed away. I did two to confirm the pregnancy but not done any since. Think it would be very easy for me to obsess about if I started testing!!

Wanting that's great news!! Really pleased for you

I've just been marinating the leg of lamb. Shattered now.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 03/12/2015 20:17

yay! wanting looks perfect! pleased it all went well and your OH made it to the scan in the end
bonxie I can sympathise with the dehydration I'm constantly drinking at night I get so thirsty and it's a vicious circle the more I drink the more I pee Confused hence several trips to the loo at night

Wanting - lovely scan pic thanks for sharing X
Sorry about OH being a twat , here is the place to offload the stress ! Sometimes they aren't very good at understanding , I for one feel like I should b praised at the moment been feeling very low most days with nausea in the mix
Just expected to get on with really and have to for our 2 yr old xx

mascaraisamust · 03/12/2015 20:30

Kaytee ive done like 5 CB tests to reassure myself that hcg wasn't falling, especially after the last mc. If I had another I'd probably do it again, madness!

Had no sickness since that one random episode before my scan. Maybe it was the nerves?! Feel
Absolutely fine again, slight soreness, big bloated belly (I wanted to undo my trousers today) and I look huge. Apart from that eating like a horse, all the wrong things of course. Tonight was a McDonald's and dinner was a cheese and crisp sandwich. So naughty. Might manage a satsuma to balance it out Hmm

Lovely scan pics ladies, so pleasing! Hope all is sorted for you wanting.

DH went to see his gp tonight and got talking about my early pregnancy. She said he needs to really look after me in these early stages Wink great advice I think

wantingno2 · 03/12/2015 20:38

I have a 2 yr old to gx91 and I take care off him 24/7 he doesn't leave my side I've never let anyone look after him and he's never stayed out and I don't mind but I'm feeling really tired and emotional lately so im constantly having a pity party for myself I just feel he needs to step up abit and take care of his son abit more often it's all on me to do everything and ino that he works but he's still just as much a parent as I am he even had the cheek to call me lazy yesterday because he's put his son to bed twice this week let me just add that's the only 2 times he's ever put him to bed and the only 2 times I've ever had an early night I told him he was a shit dad which I felt abit bad about but how can he even call me lazy he's never even changed a nappy sorry for the rant.

redstrawberries101 · 03/12/2015 20:55

Aww wanting Sad

Don't worry about the rant that's what we are here for

A bit of advice if you don't mind though. I would leave him in the lurch with your son every so often just to give him the feeling of responsibility that mums carry all the time. Occasionally, for example even if you feel totally fine, declare you have a headache at 4/5pm in the afternoon and leave your partner to get on with it. Let him have to make the tea, get your son ready for bed etc and put him to bed all without any notice! Look what's mums have to go through. Dads should definitely pick up at least some if not half the responsibility.

redstrawberries101 · 03/12/2015 20:56

We just have to manipulate the situation a little to get the men to step up. Don't let him take you for granted!

smallplainblonde · 03/12/2015 21:02

Hi ladies, so lovely to see all the scan photos and the good news. Sorry to bring the thread down with a moan but I'm having an awful week. My grandmother who I'm very close to has been quite poorly for a while and was admitted to hospital yesterday. I stood with her (she was on a trolley) for 6 hours until my mum insisted I go home as I was shattered and sickness was bad. I worked from home today as I have a long commute which I couldn't face as I hardly slept. My boss is great and he has been really understanding and supportive (he doesn't know I'm pregnant). I'm not sleeping and just had no appetite the past few days and anything I have eaten has not been healthy, I feel like I'm letting the baby down by not being healthy Sad. I didn't get to see her tonight as they're strict with visiting and my brother wanted to go. He just called and said she was deteriorating and she didn't even know who he was. Sorry for going on I'm just struggling at the moment.

redstrawberries101 · 03/12/2015 21:02

Really strange but I was looking back through the thread and a whole load of messages seem to have disappeared? My message about lack of sleep and Syria and wantings message about being evicted... Is it just me? Am I going nuts?

redstrawberries101 · 03/12/2015 21:04

Small plain blonde sorry to hear that. It'll be such a worrying time for you. Don't feel bad re your diet, the baby will get what it needs from you. It's better that your eating junk than nothing at all, right? Just concentrate on your grandma and looking after yourself. Xx

Cookiesandcoffee · 03/12/2015 22:41

Yey to booking appointments and scans ladies. Not so Yey to all the feeling c*p and sickness. Really hope it eases soon. Generally 13 weeks has been a turning point for me.. Only 3 1/2 weeks to go..

Tired and nearly threw up several times at work tonight (instructing a class full of peopl) and had to swallow it down.* envy] not from sickness but from where I'm constipated I think blush]* sorry TMI.

Thanks for the scan pic wanting* I love a scan pic :)
