So apparently swearing messes up my whole post Hmm sorry !!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 03/12/2015 22:52

Allthegood glad the scan went well. I need to exercise too. I just really don't have the energy. I've just ordered Michelle Heatons pregnancy exercise DVDs. Apparently it has a different workout section for each trimester.

Kaytee definitely wouldn't waste money on any more tests.

Wanting yay for a lovely scan and good picture.

Small sorry to hear about your grandma. Try to look after yourself. The baby will get what it needs so don't worry about that.

Is anyone else suffering headaches. I didn't have them last time but I'm getting them every day now especially bad at night.

Thank you Mel and Beautician.

Beautician, I've only had a couple of headaches but my mum said she got them a lot when she was pregnant with me and used to rub eucalyptus oil onto her temples to sooth it. Not sure if they'd recommend that nowadays though?

Loki17 · 04/12/2015 06:38

Lovely news about the scans, ladies! I think my pain yesterday was definitely trapped wind Blush. I have IBS and it is worse in pregnancy so I think it is that. Not nice though especially as I've known about my pregnancy for a month and ive still got 2 and a half weeks until my scan. After a 12 hour day at work I've woken up to sickness so I'm thinking positively!

pulpi · 04/12/2015 07:49

We're off to Madrid this weekend to tell DH's mom that we're finally pregnant! Yay! On the downside, no serrano ham for me. Rubbish.

Oh, and the midwife gave me my official EDD yesterday: 26 July.

Have some blood this morning. It's dark brown, not too heavy and I'm around the time that I would usually get my period. But I'm nervous nonetheless. Should I just do another preg test? Haven't had a scan yet. I'm 9 weeks today. X

gnat99 · 04/12/2015 08:17

Morning everyone, another day further along for all of us!

Great to see the scan pics from yesterday and hear about the appointments.
I had my booking in bloods yesterday, the nurse was really nice and actually asked me how I was feeling, which is more than the midwife did! She also asked if I'd had any urine tested, and was quite surprised that midwife hadn't taken my sample. So I had to go off and pee in a bottle.

Smallplainblonde, sorry to hear about your grandmother. Fingers crossed for her. Big hugs.

Wanting, I would be very angry too if my DH treated me like that. He needs to appreciate all that you do, and be happy to bear some of the parenting load more often to give you a break. Can't believe he called you lazy!

pulpi, have a lovely weekend in Madrid! Make sure to stay hydrated on the plane.

Ellizardo, don't think a pregnancy test will clarify anything for you - maybe ring EPU if you are worried? They will probably reassure you that it's ok but best to check it out.

Good luck x

Hello ladies
I'm new here. Took me ages to find this group - so many threads and I didn't find the website very easy to navigate (is it just me?!) Glad I've found you at last!
Due on 18 July I think (7 + 4). Got our first hospital appointment on 30th Dec and scan on 4th January - I think it will all seem a bit more real after that...
Have you ladies told many people you're pregnant or are you keeping it quiet until after the scan? We've only told a couple of friends as I'm nervous of telling people until after the scan. Haven't even told my parents yet as they're away at the mo and we want to tell them in person!
Hope you're all doing OK :-)

Ellizardo · 04/12/2015 10:19

Thanks gnat am in A&E now as I have to be assessed here first before being referred to epu...
Welcome Julfin! The website is quite the labyrinth x

Kaytee1987 · 04/12/2015 11:20

Mel not harsh at all don't worry Wink
Not going to even do the test that's in my cupboard, it's ridiculous I know I'm pregnant so there's no need! Guess I will feel better after scan.
So glad it's Friday, nice christmassy weekend planned - Christmas fair tonight, adult panto tomorrow, church Sunday morning & then buying our Christmas tree and decorating.
Feeling good today and yesterday and told myself just to be grateful instead of worrying about symptoms. Got my nails, eyebrows, eyelashes and spray tan done last night - life is good.
Hope youre all having a lovely day xx

Hi ladies. Long time no see. I don't know if its this pregnancy but I am really struggling with the nausea and tiredness. I am finding myself almost hating being pregnant. Maybe its just harder this time or the fact I am balancing it with work and a toddler. Been a bit hard to log in here and have a chat without sounding like I am always whining. Sad

Woodsy81 · 04/12/2015 12:09

Welcome Julfin. :)
I am sitting at my desk feeling quite nauseous. Needing my lunch I think. Have been getting creamy cm all morning (a lot more than usual). I freaked out at first and thought I was bleeding again but it was OK.

We have christmasy weekend planned too Kaytee. Going to a xmas fair tomorrow and then tree is going up tomorrow or Sunday. Really looking forward to it.

Glad things are looking up wanting. I had a sore belly too after the scan for a couple of days but I had, had my IBS pains too so the pressing on my tummy prob didn't help matters.

Sorry to hear your not feeling great photographer. xx

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 04/12/2015 12:43

Really struggling with emotions at the moment. Started the day in such a good mood (after the nausea had passed) then couldn't find my debit card and went in to a blind rage at myself and my stupidity. How am I supposed to take care of a child if I can't take care of myself? Now sitting on the sofa with eyes streaming trying to calm myself down. Babies aren't as easy to lose down the back of the sofa as bank cards I suppose. Anybody else having such up and down emotions?

Elizardo hope things go well and you're OK

Partimerunner · 04/12/2015 12:56

Hi everyone,

I have enjoyed reading all the posts for this thread and seeing that everyone is having similar symptoms and worries. I have not had my booking in appointment or the letter for my scan date, a bit worried.

julfin - I am also new today AND due on the 18th July.

Has anyone decided to do the NIPT test? I am due to be on holiday when my NT screen was due so doing this as a plan B.

Hello, thanks for thoughts, I really appreciated it. Scan was fine, saw the bean and a heartbeat thank god. She also saw an 8cm cyst in my ovary too (?) but didn't seem too worried. Didn't someone else have one of these lovely things?
Good luck to all other scannees, big sighs of relief here xx

wantingno2 · 04/12/2015 13:01

That's brilliant news Ellizardo it's me with the gigantic cyst and lots of little other ones they can be pretty uncomfortable and I've had bad belly ache since my scan yesterday when she was pressing on it

SoniaShoe · 04/12/2015 14:30

hi all and welcome new ladies. congrualations!

i've also got a cyst on my right ovary which was spotted at my 8 week scan. he said not to worry as this was quite common and they usually disappear by the 12 week scan. but he also said it had started seeping so they needed to keep an eye on it and check at the 12 week scan. it is a bit worrying but it seems to be a fairly common thing?
