Mord, sorry you're having such a time of it with the diabetes. I really hope your doctors can get you sorted out asap because it's horrible that you're having to worry about it all.

Wanting, really sorry to hear about the flat situation - what tough timing. Perhaps you can use this as an opportunity to find the perfect place for your about-to-be-bigger family?

Loki, I can see blue veins on my boobs; have done for weeks. Also, DH remarked this morning, 'You do realise your bazonkas have doubled in size?' Made me laugh. I had realised they'd got bigger (I've not got very big boobs to begin with), but hadn't realised quite how MUCH bigger. I looked in the mirror nekkid for the first time in a couple of weeks and was quite surprised!

My sickness seems to have gone entirely now. Still getting suddenly and desperately ravenous at odd moments, though. Two weeks and four days until my scan - I am starting to get a bit nervous about it, because although it is just before Christmas, which is what I wanted, what if there's something wrong and I find out just before Christmas? My brother and sister-in-law had a lovely little baby yesterday, and I am unreasonably and selfishly worrying that I will find Christmas really hard with their brand new baby if there is something wrong with mine! Arrrgggghhhhhhh SHUSH brain, be quiet!

Oh wanting that sounds awful and the last thing you need. I had to move during my last pregnancy (we actually moved towns as we moved out of london to afford more space) and it was hard. Although on the positive you can look for somewhere ideal for having a baby - the best advice I had was to think about how you'd get the pram in and out so lots of steps aren't great.

Good luck with your scan today, I'm sure your OH will come round and be there. Arguments are inevitable with so much stress going on. Let us know how it goes.

pulpi good luck with your midwife appointment today.

Hope everyone else has good days and beaut I hope you get your scan date through soon!

gnat99 · 03/12/2015 08:51

wanting that sounds like the worst day! Hope that the scan goes well, it will probably bring you two together again, fx.

allthegood, good luck for your scan too, let us know how it goes.

Pulpi, hope your mw appointment goes well!

Beautician, turns out I had heard of spd, just didn't know the acronym. Poor you. Best to go and ask for help asap, so you start getting support?

SoniaShoe · 03/12/2015 08:52

bluebell my sickness has pretty much gone although today I feel just "rough" I don't know how to explain it, like I'm really hungover I suppose. But not nauseous. Plus my boobs have stopped hurting completely. It's like they're back to normal. It's really worrying me that something has gone wrong. So I know how you feel. What date is your scan?

SoniaShoe · 03/12/2015 08:53

Oh and the decision on Syria is awful I agree mel. So many innocent lives will be made worse or destroyed, and so many future concequesnces will come from this stupid decision. Do we never learn!

SoniaShoe · 03/12/2015 09:07

Oh and allthegood good luck with your scan today too. I knew there was some else with one. Will be looking for news.

Bluebell20 · 03/12/2015 09:27

My scan's the 21st Sonia, two days before yours I think? DH (tongue in cheek) reckons this is an 'auspicious' date as it's the winter solstice! Ha!

SoniaShoe · 03/12/2015 09:45

It just seems ages away doesn't it bluebell. Although if both of us have less sickness/nausea now that seems OK as we're the same due date. Are your boobs still sore? (Very personal question to ask anyone in any other circumstances! )

Bluebell20 · 03/12/2015 09:57

Hahaha! No, they're not particularly sore any more. And it is so helpful having you guys around to contrast and compare with!!!

The scan does seem ages away. I was toying with the idea of a private one, but decided to save the pennies and hang on for the NHS. Hoping that the Christmas madness will distract me over the next fortnight or so... That and going to visit my brand new nephew! I'm still finding it really hard to imagine that there's actually a little baby inside me, growing away... Although I've definitely got less of a flat stomach than usual, which does make it seem a bit more real!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 03/12/2015 10:06

I think because I was so fat in the first place I basically look exactly the same. I didn't have a flat stomach to start with!

My sickness really comes and goes, I find. Some days are much worse than others.

CultureSucksDownWords · 03/12/2015 10:41

Good morning all Smile

I'm currently waiting for a blood test, my ticket is 51 and they've just called in number 25... I may be here a while!

Woodsy81 · 03/12/2015 10:48

Hope all scans and appointments go well for those who have them today and that your day is better today wanting .
I have got a real belly on me now. I know its just bloating but I think I look pregnant. I didn't have the flattest tummy before but it just seems to be bigger especially the bottom bit. I have to think about what I wear all the time now.
I have had to change the way I sit on my office chair as well. I normally sit forward but for some reason that seems to have had an affect on my back and now my tummy muscles (like really twingey pains). So I am now sitting like a beached whale, further back with my tummy sticking out. Ha! Can you imagine what I'll be like at 8 months if this is what I am like now. I think I am going to have to go and get new bras too. They are huge. At least a cup size bigger.

Lucia82 · 03/12/2015 11:09

Morning, having a pity party :(
So sorry for all those with HG as although I don't have that, I feel terrible. I don't know how you manage.
Finding it hard to even read about everyone's cravings/meals, food seems to be everywhere.... I've lost weight as I just have no appetite and waves of nausea all day. Surviving on occasional banana and satsumas, and baked potatoes with beans and cheese in the evenings when I can manage force feeding myself to try and eat anything.
Wearing sea bands 24/7 and don't care they look awful.
I know this will pass.... But...not soon enough!
I suppose I should book in with midwife, book private scan for before Christmas, get on with life...and pull myself together and stop moaning. Apologies. Rant over Smile

SoniaShoe · 03/12/2015 11:19

lucia full sympathy here I know how you feel. It will pass though don't forget in a few weeks. Just hang on to that and look after yourself

SunnyScot89 · 03/12/2015 11:36

Joining team Bleugh. I've pulled out of my Christmas meal tomorrow as I feel so rough. Plain rolls, pasta with a bit of cheese and biscuits is all I can face just now and oh my, the tiredness is unbelieveable! I' not usually one for napping but stealing every second of snooze time at the moment. I can't imagine how people do this when they have a toddler already!

Got my private scan on Sunday. Praying everything will be ok and I'll start to feel normal again soon.
Hugs to all others suffering.

beckslovestimmy · 03/12/2015 12:13

Good luck to those with scans today, hoping all is well and you see tiny beans with strong heartbeats.

OMG I put leggings on today for the first time in a few weeks and I look so pregnant!!! I know it can't be baby yet but I'd say I look 4-5 months gone. I'm going to have to go back to the jeans I think!!! Still trying to hide our news until Christmas. I may have to invest in some long flowy scarves to help cover my tum!!

Loki17 · 03/12/2015 12:35

I'm having a worrying day today. I've got achy, crampy pains today. Wish I could see inside and be reassured.

Kaytee1987 · 03/12/2015 12:46

Aw Loki if you're worried could you phone the midwife and get a scan? My friend had some pain when she was 7 weeks, went to hospital and they gave her a scan there and then, confirmed heartbeat and she went on her way. Said she was in an out in an hour xx

Loki17 · 03/12/2015 12:51

I'm going to give it a few hours and see how I feel. I don't want to waste time with trapped bowel gas again!

Kaytee1987 · 03/12/2015 12:59

It can be worrying though :( if you're somewhere where this is possible try lying on your back and bringing your knees slowly up, meant to help 'expel' gas Blush

Girls I ended up telling my HR director, she congratulated me & thanked me for telling her. Told me if I needed any support with anything then to phone or text her anytime. And of course she wouldn't tell anyone :)

pulpi · 03/12/2015 13:42

Appointment went well. Not too involved. BP, height, weight and paperwork. Have to wait for a call from the hospital now for scan dates, bloods, etc.

SoniaShoe · 03/12/2015 14:03

Good news pulpi you're in the system! And we'll done kaytee and glad it went well and you don't have to feel bad about being off any more.

Hope you're OK loki

Kaytee1987 · 03/12/2015 14:11

Hopefully I won't need any actual sick days, feeling a bit better today but you never know. Good that I don't need to worry about appointments though xx

Cheery1 · 03/12/2015 15:11

Loki - hope you feel a bit better soon x

Pulpi - glad all went well

Kaytee - that's great that your work knows. I had to tell mine really early on (like 6 weeks) as my job can be quite physical and I was getting really anxious about doing something I shouldn't or that people would think I was being awkward! Less stressful all round I reckon if they know.

Luca - sorry you're feeling so rubbish!

Sunny - I'm totally on team Bleugh today! I had areally long work day yesterday and today I'm paying for it. Achy, sore throat, nauseous and generally feel like I've been hit by a train. Bleugh!

Hope everyone else is having a good day (despite stupid vote in parliament - as you say Sonia, will we never learn?)
xx

Pleased to announce the scan went really well saw our little bean and burst out crying. Really strong heartbeat at 175 bpm. The feeling of relief is immense after all we've been through and my anxiety attack this morning. I'm slightly further ahead than I thought (8+2) thought I was 7+4 based on positive opk dates. Slightly concerningly my BMI is quite high (31) I didn't realise how bad it had gotten it has always hovered around the 27 mark but I've reduced the amount of exercise I do over the last couple of months due to miscarriage worries and eating more to stave off the nausea so I'm going to have to cut back majorly and take up exercising more again. Got my booking appointment with the midwife tomorrow so will talk to her more about the weight thing then. So all in all a very good day gonna put my feet up on the sofa for the evening with hubby and watch a good Xmas film. wanting hope your scan went well this morning. loki sorry to hear about your cramps I hope it's nothing -definitely get on to your epu see if you can get an early scan to ease your mind a bit.
