Bearstuff, I have a bad lower back. Almost like sciatica. I have had similar pain before but its got worse in last couple of weeks. My office chair at work is probably the cause. I think I am going to have to ask my boss to invest in a new chair for me. Along with bad cramping this morning I was in agony. Almost didn't want to come to work but forced myself out of the door. Feeling better now but all I need to do is move the wrong way and it will be back. My bed is my best friend at the moment. I just lie on my back and all aches and pains go away. I am in bed at 9 most nights now just cause it helps so much.

SoniaShoe · 02/12/2015 12:33

i haven't got the back pain bear but i sympathise. i've had a bad cold combined with all day nausea, full time work and motherhood its all pretty hard going! lots of supplements, warm soups and casseroles and early nights is the only thing i can suggest.

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 02/12/2015 14:15

Hi Ladies, room for a newbie? I'm only just in your gang, estimated due date 29th July 2016. Currently 5 + 5. First pregnancy

Nausea has kicked in, mostly early afternoon (hence loitering on here now, taking a break with a cuppa). Have seen doctor but not midwife yet. I have an underactive thyroid so dr wanted to see me straight away to get bloods done and raise thyroxine dose. Trying to be excited but mostly anxious right now! Although I saw a newborn Christmas jumper with a robin on today and only just stopped myself from crying in the shop, soooo adorable! DP is overjoyed though, far more excited than I thought I would be (he's your typical laid back northerner and a bit of a cynic).

SoniaShoe · 02/12/2015 15:44

hi and welcome insufficientlycaffeinated i like the name. congratulations thats really exciting for you and your DP and lovely that he's excited. i've got a cynical northern DP too but he is very enthusiastic too which is lovely.

that's good you're under good medical care with your thyroid now you can just get your head round the pregnancy Grin

Anyone having stretchy achey feelings really low that they are super aware of. It's my fourth so maybe I'm just feeling it more.

Bearstuff, I have had a bad lower back today a bit like sciatica too. Also got stretching type pains and leg ache as if I have done a workout but I haven't!

Jackchi · 02/12/2015 16:24

Hello mothers to be, so encouraging reading your posts. I'm very new to this! I found out I was pregnant 2weeks ago when I had sever cramps and back pain. The early pregnancy centre did a scan and I found out I'm 6weeks pregnant! I think the night of our wedding was the culprit- after all the shock my husband and I are very happy(just not prepared!) TBH work has been tough- I got so stressed at work I started bleeding and the doctors gave me a week off.... Our office environment is not the best place to tell anyone as its still early days, this is much harder than I thought it would be. After bleeding I forced my self to eat super healthy l- and feel better for it as long my bean gets strong. I can't get rid of this nausea, haven't been sick but it's really bad :( I love olives at the moment anyone els have an odd appetite? I'm so happy to hear other mothers to be are also stuggling with wieght gain- I'm petrified as I have started to develop love handles!! Thanks for the h&m skinny maternity jeans I'm defo buying a pair! Keeping positive!

mascaraisamust · 02/12/2015 17:05

I want a curry so bad Hmm sat here wondering whether to give in and order one

Loki17 · 02/12/2015 17:18

Oh do it Mascara! Your body obviously needs it!

mascaraisamust · 02/12/2015 17:23

Needs it... Now I'm so tempted

Cheery1 · 02/12/2015 17:27

Do it! The bean clearly needs a curry! X

SoniaShoe · 02/12/2015 17:43

Do it for the baby mascara mmm. I had one last week was lovely

BearStuff · 02/12/2015 17:48

I've had chicken + sweetcorn soup from the Chinese three times since I found out I am upduffed. It's been one of the only things I've been consistently craving. Have the curry.

Woodsy81 · 02/12/2015 18:05

Mmmm curry.....makes my chicken broth and bread seem quite plain. Lol. I just text my Mum to ask if we can go to the new Krispy Kreme down the road from her when I go to the city for my scan. Very excited!...about both the scan and the doughnuts. Grin

Ellizardo · 02/12/2015 18:14

Jackchi - welcome! I'm another olive lover, stuffed with anchovies, mmmm! And nice one for wedding night conception! How romantic!

Cheery1 · 02/12/2015 18:18

Hi Jackchi, a wedding baby - how lovely! Xx

Cheery1 · 02/12/2015 18:18

Mmmm curry....

Loki17 · 02/12/2015 18:19

Possibly tmi but has anyone else noticed that their boobs have gone all veiny?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 02/12/2015 18:28

Mascara now I want a curry too.

Loki I have veiny boobs. Lovely aren't they Wink

I'm still so achey in my uterus. Who was it that mentioned back pain? I have lower back pain too & the top of my thighs. I've a feeling spd is on its way for me again Sad. I'm super scared about it this time as I work above a hair salon in what is a loft conversion. This means the steps up to it are quite steep and narrow. I don't now how I will get up and down the stairs with spd. I was hoping to work up until about 2 weeks before my due date but last time I had to give up work quite early due to spd. I'm going on eBay to hunt for a Dream genii pillow.

Yes Loki very veiny, raised as well so I can see them sticking out on the sides :S still very tender as well.

All I want is crispy bacon rolls with red & brown sauce followed by grapefruit juice but I can't have any of it, Boo :(
My blood sugars were high after the 2 hr wait at 12.9 and then before lunch it was 10.5 and after 10.1 so I'm cutting out carbs for the rest of today and tomorrow to see if I can get it down.
Am in town Now just finished the last bits of present shopping and am treating myself to a ribeye steak and salad.

Hello to all the new newbies! :D.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 02/12/2015 18:48

My craving is eggs. Scrambled eggs, egg/salad cream sandwiches and omelettes. I'm having to limit myself. 1. It won't help with the constipation & 2. I doubt it's helping with my windy situation Blush

Loki17 · 02/12/2015 19:00

Mord have you seen the dietitian or have you got a diabetes nurse? I only ask because I have a boy I'm my year group who has diabetes and he has to carb count rather than watch sugar and is able to eat a much more normal diet than I thought. We had the nurse come in to do some training and there seems to be a lot if help out there. If you haven't already got a care plan in place it might be worth investigating?

Kaytee1987 · 02/12/2015 19:06

Beautician my upper stomach muscles are actually a bit sore, feel like I've done too many sit ups - weird.

Also I've still not even put on 1 pound but my stomach is rounder. Not worrying about it as I'm eating plenty and it's not like I'm skinny or underfed Grin

Cheery1 · 02/12/2015 19:21

Beautician - I've just inhaled some scrambled eggs! Yum!
