clumsy welcome back! I've been dropping things left right and centre (mainly potatoes for some reason), which at this stage is not helpful!

Sorry to hear about those struggling - we're in the home stretch now so hopefully not too long! And then we can complain about sleep ;)

I'm getting random cravings and signs of nosebleeds again, which harks back to early pregnancy, but nowhere near as bad, thankfully, and the pelvic pain, but it's coming and going now. We had our growth/presentation scan yesterday and he's wonderful! Still a big baby but now within the 90th percentile line rather than above, about 6 pounds atm (I'm 36+3) and heading for 9ish at guess date. Exciting!! He's back to back so I'm joining in on the inversions and crawling, but other than that he can come when he likes (afterwards I cawed gleefully to DH 'we can have sex!!!').

Hi clumsy

I am terrible on my feet - haven't adjusted well to my new shape and size and keep lurching for gaps I am simply not going to make. Not so much with dropping things but I am definitely not making allowances. Decided to scrub floor on hands and knees yesterday (hey it will help with baby position!) & ended up wits no felling in my right leg. DH had to massage it for 10 minutes then pick me up from the floor. I'm in the bad books Hmm

hacquoi great news about position. I think my baby is more mobile now than in previous weeks so definitely time for a bit of rotation. Hands and knees is actually quite comfortable if you get you pillows right! Sex though? My poor DH thinks it may never happen again .....

NorthernChinchilla · 12/01/2016 09:13

Looking at my notes I think it says 'free', and DD certainly seems to be, um, exploring her environment Confused. The lovely kicking out the fanjo feeling, ribs, her beloved upper right quadrant twerking position, right down scraping my pelvis...
Will be getting my action date on Thursday though, sooooo excited!

Not too bad on the clumsy front, I think mainly as I have no problem with delegating tasks to work colleagues and DP Grin!

NorthernChinchilla · 12/01/2016 09:14

Clearly, that should be 'section' date. There's no action as DP doesn't find me attractive when pregnant....Hmm

clarabellski · 12/01/2016 11:04

haha @ chinchilla

No action here either. We both had rotten colds over Christmas, and I'm also currently waiting on results of swab test at GPs for possible fanjo infection so the thought of action is far from either of our minds!

Fingers crossed all these babies get into best position possible in next few weeks! Flowers

I had my midwife appt this morning and saw a different one to usual. I know this particular midwife from when I had DS but I hadn't seen her yet in this pregnancy.

When discussing the prolapse issue I tried to explain to her that the GP had said it was ok, and that I'd have to wait for after the birth to be assessed again, but this midwife was insistent that I should get it checked out by one of the obstetricians in the maternity hospital (I go to the midwives in a satellite clinic in my own town and the maternity hospital is in Dublin city centre).

So I had to get DH to come home from work to look after DS, drive to the hospital and hang around the casualty dept which is also the location of a very busy out-patients clinic, only to see the doctor and be told the exact same thing that the GP told me 4 months ago. Oh well.

Rufus200 · 12/01/2016 16:15

I am so tired, my legs feels so heavy, everything is a huge grunting effort! I have the worst baby brain, I stood on something yesterday and really hurt my foot, DH asked me what I had stood on and for the life of me I couldn't remember even though I had only just done it! There are lists everywhere in our house of things I need to do and still keep on forgetting. I was telling DH to remind me about things in my Drs appt but couldn't remember half the things I wanted him to remind me of!

Had my now weekly check up today. Reminded Dr she has to do extra surgery on me on c-section day and remove all the masses on my bits. She very stupidly asked me to point them out to her, I can't see down there so how the hell am I supposed to point them out?!! Also they are the size of peas and stick out as it is so swollen down there, so bloody hard to miss! I think I will be in more pain from that surgery then my c-section cut!

I am so annoyed with my GP surgery, I called to change my address so the midwife and health visitor don't turn up at the wrong house, to be told that I couldn't do it over the phone or by email and they insisted I came in with a letter! Go in this afternoon to a waiting room full of sick, very likely infectious people and a long queue at the desk. Stood for 30 secs and thought fuck this, I'm not risking my health because my GP is so out of date they can't change an address over the phone. Dropped my letter on the desk and walked out. Bet they don't change my address! I refuse to go back in again!!!

NorthernChinchilla · 12/01/2016 16:51

Oh the glamour of pregnancy eh clara? Hope it's not an infection, and if it is it can be quickly zapped!

Rufus200 · 12/01/2016 20:46

Anyone else that can't be bothered with eating anymore? I'm just not hungry, when I do eat I get terrible indigestion.

Anyone having a c-section, I was told today to get a silicone bandage to start using 1 week after surgery. Apparently it reduces scarring.

clumsypots · 12/01/2016 22:17

rufus I can't seem to stop eating!

I've got hydrotherapy again tomorrow. Does anyone know if I should cover up my burn as when I fell I scraped off the blister? I have to cover my injection site because the warm water makes it bleed.

goldmaple · 12/01/2016 23:52

I have morning sickness again. I was trying to ignore it but it is interesting to know that other have it as well!

As for sex, it has been a while (DH is away) and we laugh about how awkward it is when we do, considering this is our last bout of awkward pregnant sex ever!*. Needless to say I am looking forward to having my body back to 'normal".

rufus I wish I felt like eating nothing! I have gained 3.5 stone and nothing fits - but I am not buying new things for only 3weeks!!

* I will not be held to this actually being the last DC as I have been having wobbles lately:)

35+4

Rufus200 · 13/01/2016 10:08

Complete moment of panic just now, bright red blood in underwear, stupid lump underneath has burst open as I thought it would but still that moment of where has that come from!

RattyCatty · 13/01/2016 10:40

rufus I can imagine the panic! V glad it's a burst lump rather than anything else. Can you use a cream/ointment to help ease it?

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 13/01/2016 11:25

Rufus that reminds me of the urethral cyst I developed around 37 weeks in my sons pregnancy. I never had any pain but remember wiping and seeing red blood. Rushed into labour ward and after lots of monitoring somebody actually looked and realised it was a bloody cyst and nothing to do with the baby at all. I had lots and lots of salt baths but it took about 2 weeks to clear up.

clarabellski · 13/01/2016 11:51

Morning ladies,

Do any of the current mums have any experience of Emma Jane nursing bras/tops and willing to share their thoughts on them?

Our MLU has a contact there that can come to your house for fittings but Emma Jane is all she sells, not other brands.

TIA

P.S. I think this baby is going to come out of my throat rather than my vagina. I need to sit up ramrod straight if I want to breath! When do they usually drop? (I'm 36+2)

madsaz76 · 13/01/2016 12:05

Hi Clara

I'm no help on bras - sorry. In terms of dropping I have got a lot more comfortable since baby turned and my fundal height has dropped a couple of cm so it could be any time now for you - but they can fail to engage right up to deciding to come. Seems to me there are no guarantees of comfort sadly.

Rufus that sounds petrifying. I dreamed I was bedding and woke up in a panic then bollocked my DH for having left me. Poor thing had gone downstairs - he'd let me have a lie in as I had been so tired & hadn't left me at all -oops.

Have emphasised that baby's position means he she definitely thinking about coming out at some point as her is far too blase right now....

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 13/01/2016 13:08

I just bought some nursing bras off eBay second hand 😳

Health visitors came this morning, I cried all over them talking about my anxiety with this pregnancy and my miscarriages. They were very sweet but I know I will be considered high risk of PND now and I'm probably being red flagged as we speak as a high risk case or something.

haquoi123 · 13/01/2016 13:08

clara, no idea about bras I'm afraid but definitely with you on vomiting baby out instead of usual way. All the bum wiggling, inversions and uncomfortable sitting seem to have just jiggled him higher, rather than turning him sideways. Oh the heartburn!

Rufus200 · 13/01/2016 14:38

clara can't comment on that brand. I bought Heidi Klum nursing bras (used to be Elle Macpherson), got them in the sale. Funnily the discounted ones were so much more comfortable then the full price ones, they had changed the design. Really pretty with lace on them.

whoknew thankfully my 10kg bag of Epsom salts arrived this morning, so can have some in my bath tonight. Just hope I don't have 3 weeks of it bursting now.

madsaz DH just got a bollocking when he called me on his lunch break for not saying goodbye to me this morning, he said I was fast asleep and didn't want to wake me.

I'm stuck in the house today with shutter fitters. Going stir crazy, I want out but don't trust them so can't leave. They are so slow!

After rather a lot of online searching, I finally found the product my Dr was talking about.

XingXingFox · 13/01/2016 15:26

The inversions has pushed my baby higher too Sad

I'm so so tired. I just can't believe it.

I like the hot milk brand on sale and JoJoMaman for plain basics. I have to say I often just wore a breastfeeding vest (built in support) as that was easier and warmer/less revealing so have a look at those too.

Newlywed123 · 13/01/2016 15:45

Hi ladies! Can I join?

36+2 today, 'suprise gender baby'. Cervical stitch removal Monday at 37 weeks! Baby has been fully engaged since 34 weeks Smile

How is everyone feeling? Brew

birdbrain21 · 13/01/2016 16:22

Hiya ladies how's everyone getting on? I had a really frustrating appointment about my platelet levels was supposed to be with a specialist midwife but they fobbed me off with a consultant who thought he knew everything but seemed to have no idea about pregnancy and birth this is my second pregnancy an I seemed to know way more then him! Not even going to go into all the details would be pages long....
been having way more braxton hicks they're getting really frequent but not painful I'm 38+2 and we're supposed to be going away this weekend for a family engagement party going to take all my hospital stuff with just incase but hope baby doesn't make an early appearance! I was induced last time and had no signs of labour before so don't know if this could go on for weeks or means something will happen in the next couple of days!!

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 13/01/2016 16:36

My sons pre school has just confirmed a case of slapped cheek. I just can't risk catching it so we are going to have to keep him off for the rest of the week which is fucking inconvenient as we have a scan and consultant appnt tomorrow. Gah.

RattyCatty · 13/01/2016 16:40

welcome newlywed

birdbrain that sounds promising - def take your bag in case! I still have no idea if I'm getting Braxton hicks or not... I'm guessing not!

I'm not great - DH not well & we're both worried it's something serious. Consultant app later so fingers crossed he can book an ultrasound to find out more. Hormonal brain in overdrive.

MaisieDotes · 13/01/2016 17:06

bird it could be a sign that you're going to go early but then again it might not mean anything.

I never had BHs in my first pregnancy, then with DS I had loads from about 20 weeks. They did get stronger and more frequent before labour but it went on for a long time, and I had him at 39+4.

This time I've been having them quite strongly in the evenings but I seem to have a run of them and then they subside. I'm 38 weeks today.
