moss for only a few quid - there are all different ones on the mothercare website. I found the invaluable - especially for us - no3 will be only a few months old when our aussie winter hits ( okay nothing like a UK winter) so makes it easy to keep them warm and can do it when you are dressing them.

eidsvold · 09/01/2007 11:16

moss I went from that top n tailing to one of these - no need for a baby bath then - don't really have the room in the bathroom

here

TheBlonde · 09/01/2007 11:22

Wow! Many congrats Callie

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 11:28

Thanks Eids!

Reading about Callie has made me realise just how unprepared I am!

Feedmenow / Foxy I am going to create a Doctor Who Geeks thread in Telly Addicts. Will come back and do a link when I've done it.

Rosylily · 09/01/2007 11:29

Remember Callie had slight bleeding last week and we were all a bit concerned? It is so reassuring to hear that all is well.

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 11:41

Fellow geeks let's stop boring everyone else here and instead go here .

Rosy of course that's right, she did didn't she? Oh it's so exciting to have our first March baby (albeit in Jan)!!

LunarSea · 09/01/2007 11:43

I've just realised that on Sunday evenin Callie was posting here "Right, going to write a definitive list of everything I need to get/do and start checking them off" - and 12 hours later she'd had her baby. Makes me even more aware of how unprepared I am.

AmieR · 09/01/2007 12:04

wow! Congrats to Callie and Jon, I am so glad everything seems well with mother and baby.

Sorry to say, I'm with Diva, DT does nothing for me either. I heard he was doing no more after the current filming and possibly robert carlyle was going to be the next doctor, is this true? I'm from the Peter Davidson era! LOL DH and I were discussing either children these days are obvioulsy open to so much more, or Dr Who has been diluted as we used tobe scared by it... Either that or we were both Wusses!

Welcome Firestone!

Feel very very tired today, I think since saturday I've had 16 hours good sleep... its no fun. But donw to 3 days a week now, not looking forward to trying to get up tomorrow morning.

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 12:56

Lunar ikwym, I have just emailed dh to tell him we need to stop p*ssing about now and get sorted!

Amie hadn't heard that particular rumour about Robert Carlyle... will have to check it out!

sexkittyinwaiting · 09/01/2007 13:02

Oh that's a surprise Callie, many congrats to you and dp. thanks for letting us know.I don't suppose you'll want the dvd now !

I'm not a DT fan.I don't really go for big men, but there's something about him that is a bit, well, can't quite put my finger on it. Saying that if I were to meet him at a party and he tried it on I can't imagine telling him to bog off .

I'm v, tired today too, think I'll have a quick kip in a min.

I hate top and tailing, rather stick 'em in the sink for 5 secs.

Welcome firestone

muppetisacat · 09/01/2007 13:02

OMG Great News Callie!!

Reading back through the thread, Callie was saying on 6th Jan that even if her baby arrived 'tomorrow' she would stay on this thread post natal... do you think she had some kind of premonition....

Sounds like he's a good weight for 2 months prem anyway... can't wait to hear the details!! I think she was due on the same day as me! Perhaps I should get a hospital bag packed...

31+3

Jaysecond · 09/01/2007 13:03

OMG OMG OMG OMG..... congratulations to callie and hubby, its great news that all is well with you both and the new arrival, we really are close to having our babies arent we, how scarey is that! Cant wait to read all about it.

Gosh you lot really do chat for England/Ireland/OZ/Thailand and where ever else everyone is, i am not her for a mere three days or so and so much happens!

Welcome to firstone, Is a bit daunting when its your first, i can remember ( well it was only last yr!) i felt like someone had handed me somone elses baby, but you very soon get used to it and they just become a small extension of you! Hope you stick around, post when you can, like me!

Fraid DT isnt my cuppa either, strange how some 'do it' for you and some dont, my TV boyfriend is James Nessbit, no idea why, i mean hes no oil painting, i think its his Irish charm and the naughty twinkle he has in his eye!

I also had the same towelling support for DD1 but she was so long thatr after about two weeks i had to use the white plastic moulded support, whish she really loved, never bothered with the baby bath, couldnt be arsed with the lifting and filling etc... shes been in the big bath since she was about 4 weeks old! I still use the top and tail bowl now, and she turned 1 last week! - pics here for anyone who missed the link last time!

Well the nursery is almost done, new skirting, carpet, blinds and curtains have all gone up. I will be using the furniture we had for DD1 and shes getting new stuff when we move her. Have just got to re paint it, but will do that when shes moved into hers. She cant do that till we move our clothes out which hopefully will be this weekend, then we have to dismantle some fitted wardrobes and buy her new furniture....its all go isnt it!

Also bought an AMBY nature nest. Its awesome, i really like it, have most things now, but do still need to buy a buggy.......just cant get round to it.

Anyway, hugs to one and all , hope things are going great guns, off to feed DD her lunch, spk soon xx

EDD 9th March - 59 days to go
Boy

sexkittyinwaiting · 09/01/2007 13:09

Oh Jay, so glad you got an Amby, they are so great aren't they? Justyou wait, your baby wil be SO chilled in it. They're worth every penny.

Booboobedoo · 09/01/2007 13:50

CONGRATULATIONS CALLIE! Hope you're not feeling too freaked out, and are managing to enjoy your little boy. Any names yet? Can't wait for the birth story.

I start my NCT classes tonight. They cost £200, so this baby is bloody well staying in until I've had my money's worth!

Haven't got time to respond to everyone today (mammoth postings last night and this morning!), but wanted to add myself to the 'would definitely shag DT' list, with the proviso that he has to have his natural Scottish accent.

I've always been a fan of the slighter man: my other current crush is Noel Fielding from The Mighty Boosh . See him live several times, and he's yum.

I'm quite small myself, and see it as my duty to mop up the good-looking smaller men that taller women reject . Although DH is actually a big bloke. (Weighs twice as much as me).

Will respond more fully later. Happy Tuesday everyone!

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 13:53

Booboo, Noel Fielding is yum, how funny I was watching the Mighty Boosh on DVD last night with dh.

Hmm... it's not going to come to fisticuffs between us is it??

What do you think of Russell Brand btw?

(I don't even have the height excuse I am a quite average 5'5" and pre-pg am about a size 16!)

rainbowgirl · 09/01/2007 15:33

wow i just came on this thread to have a look and saw the news about callie. how mad you never know what might be about to happen. he'll be in hospital for a while won't he the LO? i read her post from sunday evening she sounded totally fine apart from saying the LO was a bit quiet hope mine stays put for a bit, i'm only 28+4 or something..
well i am struggling onwards, saw m/w today and all ok except i've got bad swelling/water retention which they want to keep an eye on and see me in 2 weeks.. had protein in wee last week but it seems to have gone.. feeling pretty bloody awful i have to say but i'm not taking an AD for now, trying omega 3 on diva's advice which doesn't seem to be doing much but without them i might be even worse.. moving house currently so all is chaos.. we move in 2 days haven't sorted out new internet stuff so i may be offline for a while.. which from the point of view of my ex-p doing my head in , will be a very good thing indeed!
hope you are all ok.
give my love/congrats to callie when she resurfaces
x

foxabout2pop · 09/01/2007 15:43

Wow Callies had her baby !!!!

Our first baby on the thread - I feel .

Callies DP - send her all our love won't you and give that baby a cuddle from us all

OMG!!

Hey Diva, you cheeky mare - just noticed your comment earlier about DD taking after me. Do you mean the farting or the fact that boys like her?

Dermot Murnaghan is my TV boyfriend

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 15:55

Rainbowgirl you have so much going on in your life atm that you should be proud of the fact you're even managing to keep your head above water. It's so nice to hear from you and best of luck with the move. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Foxy is Dermot Murnaghan the guy off BBC breakfast news?

AmieR · 09/01/2007 16:49

and the egg heads quizshow I think.

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 16:53

Well, I can't see the attraction but each to their own! Foxy it leaves the door open for you now you know, get on in there! Lol!!

sexkittyinwaiting · 09/01/2007 17:29

I think I have a vast number of t.v. boyfriends.
I could not possibly stay faithful to one.
How about Ciaran Hinds, Rufus Sewel, Alan Rickman?
And as all my other t.v. boyfriends send me flowers I will be reminded of who they are and will let you all know.
I think I need a cold shower.

sexkittyinwaiting · 09/01/2007 17:30

Colin Firth has just left a message on my answer phone asking me to dinner next week. Think I might go actually.

Jaysecond · 09/01/2007 17:44

just wanted to share, my little girl is walking!!! Shes been doing it with her walker for about three mths, then just b4 christmas she took a few tentative steps, from one toy to the other, then without warning she walked from one setee to the other , and now today i cant

stop her, shes flying around all over the place, she looks sooooo sweeeet such a little person, i cant believe my baby can walk, she looks like a little person.....guess she is!!!

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 17:46

Kitty I don't know who Rufus Sewell is, I've just googled him but I don't recognise him!! He looks quite nice though. Ciaran Hinds, not really my type. Quite fancy Alan Rickman though especially in Harry Potter!! (Is that so very wrong?)

And Colin Firth, well Kitty I'll only be envious if he comes to meet you dripping with water after coming out the lake!!!

I'm afraid with the exception of DT all the men I fancy on TV tend to be younger than me!

I think I'm spoiled by dh, he is only one year younger than me but he only looks about 20. (And he actually got asked for ID in an offie just before Christmas it is at least five years since I got asked for ID.)

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 17:47

Xposts Jay, that's so exciting!!!!! How old is she? Oh bless I bet that is lovely to see!!!
