thanks boo and theblonde, i think DD is the bestest in the world and the cutest but then i am biased!! As for DH being foxy, well what can i say i think so too.... hehehehehehe

Am with you theblonde on the large and uncomfy front, i feel like i should be giving birth now, not in 63 days.....OMG 63 days till it happens how scarey/exciting/unbelievable is that!!!

right, off to pick holes and have a bitch about celeb Big Bro !! Catch you soon xx

spongecake · 04/01/2007 21:21

can't believe how many posts since I last came on- whizzed through too fast but rainbow-nice to see you post, hope u are feeling better, and Diva- good luck with finding out your next door landlord and shutting your awful neighbours up. Surely your HA knew about this and should help you?

am so heavy and tired-useless at work today as brain gone on strike- am worried what mistakes i have made can't even walk home -its on 10 mins on the flat, but i have to keep stopping and want to lie down on the pavement. DP is being a love and collecting me as much as poss but
my sister said"oooh, it gets worse from now" love being pregant- dear lo, but! nothing a mug of hot chocolate won;t cure

divastrop · 04/01/2007 21:43

im going to have to post first then read from where i got up to...callie,whats that link re leeds general?im scared to read it cos thats where dd2 was in intensive care last year
if its re.the maternity ward, though,i had the misfortune of having to go there to get my bp checked(i was still oficially under mw care at that point)when dd was in,and it was awful,it reminded me of a battery farm,i remember thinking'thank f* i didnt have to give birth in here!'.the picu was lovely and clean though.

moss-glad youre getting somewhere with work.and to those who mention not being able to open windows/turn down heating, when i was admitted with suspected pre-eclampsia with ds2,i was told that pih/pre-eclampsia had been linked to dehydration.

ive forgoten everything else and now the pizza has arrived(thursday is my night to cook)

i'll be back

sponge-the HA werent aware of the problem cos the last tennant never complained-she just moved!

jay-hope your cat turns up.is it cramps or sciatica ur getting?mine has been really bad today, ive been limping.i dont know how i managed to forget how bad i am at being preg.

i went round looking for a single buggy for the baby today.there was nothing anywhere, apart from over-priced rubbish in the baby shop where the bloke preys on first-time parents, making them believe they need a £600 pram
i just bought a moses basket matress and left.

i got the buggy off ebay(yet again)i think ive got everything now

Jaysecond · 04/01/2007 22:26

hey Diva, definately cramp, but not just plain cramp, it was crippling cramp and as it was in my inner thigh i so couldnt do anything about stretching it out.... i mustve looked funny, but i certainly felt like my leg was being ripped off..... as for the sciatica, i do suffer bad with that also so can sympathsie big time, in fact its always there, but some days worse than others, and while i am on about moaning, the SPD is getting worse also, so much so that i had to use crutches again the other day, not much fun with a would be toddler either!!! I am no fun being pregnant with all my aches and pains!

Jaysecond · 04/01/2007 22:27

BTW ebay rocks!!!

Jay your pics are lovely. My dd3 turned 1 just before xmas, but yours looks so much more grown up, I think it's the hair and clothes . Mine is a lardy lump but looks like a boy, not much hair .
She's now started to do that wonderful thing of reversing to sit down on things and can leg it up and down the corridors like the rest of them.
Dd2 is always pushing her over, by accident of course, tripping her up, blocking her way, that sort of stuff. Dd2 is quite petite and dd3 is not so I'm hoping that soon dd3 will be able to push her over right back again !!

kiwibella · 04/01/2007 23:13

yup, cramps here too... aren't they the worst feeling!! Trying to stretch them makes them worse.

BBCelebrity, Jay??? I only know a couple of these celebrities. Are they becoming more obscure?? I stayed up to watch Green Wing but have been helping dh update our website (really, just being anal about spelling and grammar - oh the teacher in me ). Can't wait to have a look at yours and the piccies of your familiy Jay.

Diva... you don't sound too happy?? Hope you enjoyed the pizza - great chef

kiwibella · 04/01/2007 23:14

sponge you are doing wonderfully even attempting the long walk home. Just think of all those muscles you are keeping going that you will need in a few weeks .

LunarSea · 05/01/2007 06:34

sponge - I'm sure the walking is good for you. It's not as if we can do much other real exercise at this stage is it? (She says remembering that once ds is back at school next week she'll be back to half an hour's walk, twice a day, not having done it since before Christmas and bump seems to be twice the size now that it was then!)

btw, talking of exercise, are you going to do those Aquanatal classes Amie?

3rdTriMossTer · 05/01/2007 09:15

Foxy tell them it's all very well dressing their dolls in your lo's clothes but can they hurry up and progress onto learning how to change nappies?

Jay I really hope your cat turns up. Just a thought though: do you have a local paper? They usually have a lost and found section in the classifieds and an advert there isn't normally that expensive. You can normally get about £50 towards advertising from your pet insurance. However, if you ring up your local paper editorial section and ask nicely sometimes they will put in a tiny snippet in the front of the paper as well, free of charge. Make sure you put on your notices for people to check sheds and garages.

Your dd is adorable btw!

Spongecake I'm with you on walking being a pita, it normally takes me fifteen minutes to walk from the station to work, this morning it took me twenty five; I just move so slowly!

I wonder if I could train my dogs to pull me on a sled?

Will come back and read everyone else's messages later, must go and do some work now!

CallieNewYear · 05/01/2007 09:17

Hope your daughter's ok, Muppet.

Diva, yeah, that place sounds like one to keep away from!

Jay, hope your cat comes back. I got bad cramps in the first four or five months but they seem to have stopped completely now (maybe I don't go to sleep for long enough for them to build up!). It's a horrible feeling isn't it ?

Mossy, well done on your work victory. That's one hell of a commute you've got there still though. As I sit here typing at my desk, my back is killing me and I've still got five hours to go. I suppose it's just going to get worse over the next few weeks, isn't it?

On the exercise front, when I start off walking now, I sometimes feel like I'm going to wee myself! (I haven't) Am getting a bit worried about this whole pelvic floor thingy now.... Definitely need to do the exercises a bit more systematically rather than a few squeezes when I remember.

Rosylily · 05/01/2007 09:39

Jay, lovely pictures! I hope your cat comes back.
Full of admiration for you working people. I wouldn't be able to I don't think. Yesterday went to do the shop with dh and talk about waddling. Then putting it away! I moaned, grunted and sighed the whole way through that job. Then if I have to go up stairs! I moan, sigh, huff and puff, my 15 year old mimics and makes fun of me all the time!
I hope I'm healthy in my old age because if not I'll be the horriblist crotchety old woman!

Yes I really like the 'keep swimming' advice too.

AmieR · 05/01/2007 09:51

Jay - Gorgeous Pics! can see why you're bias! lol.

Oh the cramps... evilness, I miss being able to have a really good stretch in the morning, as soon as I have little tiny stetch I can feel my calf and the bottom of my foot, ready to go into spasm so I have to stop... I can't wait to have a proper good stretch! LOL

Oh the simplest things.

Bit worried about BP now as I've got a headache! Think maybe I'm being a little paranoid, but I'v not got an awful lot to do this morning at work, so my mind's working on Over time! I didn't get a goods nights sleep, so I'm putting it down to that for now.

oh.. we need one of those bouncing cradle things... Our neice loved hers, my brother said it was worth its weight in gold.

Makes me mad when shops exploit first time parents anxieties by trying to sell them the most expensive thing going as obviously more price means better product.. rolls eyes

Lunar - I'd forgotten about those... I'd like to yeah! Just found out my friend is due in April so may get her to tag a long too if she fancies it... now where is my cozzie...

harktheheraldfoxessing · 05/01/2007 10:10

Morning everyone

I just woke up (yawn, stretch) after staying up late watching Anita & Me. I'd read the book, but hadn't seen the film B4 - it was brilliant!

Rosy - the only good thing about working at this stage is it makes the weeks fly by, rather than just "waiting to hatch" as it were LOL!

Jay/Callie - I got cramps with my first 2 pregnancies, with this one my legs keep going to sleep. Also I get terrible back and hip pains at work from sitting at my desk all day. Also when I walk, not only do I waddle very slowly, but LO feels as though he's going to burts out through my pelvic floor - it feels very uncomfortable. Keep thinking my waters are going to break too, 'cos of the pressure (which they wont BTW LOL)

Jay - love the pics of DD - she does look very grown up doens't she? My DD is 3.5 and still looks like a bay, due to general lack of proper hair.

Kitty - I find DS still keeps pinching, pushing and tripping DD even after three years. All by accident of course...

Jay I hope your cat returns home soon

Boo - that chair is gorgeous! Great colours.

We sorted out all DS's old 0-3 month clothes last night - I felt quite emotional looking at them again - they're so small and diddy

DS slept with the baby doll last night, all dressed up in newborn clothes and has been walking around with his pretend baby brother this morning. When I come off here he's going to introduce baby to Club penguin !!

Jaysecond · 05/01/2007 10:41

morning all, had yet more cramps in the middle of the night....... god they are bad, is it just the circulation that makes then worse, is there anythng you can do to stop them i wonder?

Thanks for the comments on the website and my DD our site USED to be of pictures of DH and i and all the places we have visited, oh how things change!! Now its dedicated to the tiny tot - and tot to be! Kiwi you will have to add your link in of your site so i can have a looksie!

Moss we are going to call the newspaper this morning and see about putting in a small add, DH has also printed some posters and i am going to string them to a few lamposts. Have some pics of him and going to knock on a few doors around us too. I put a small amount of food outside the back door last night, just incase he came back but didnt want to come in, also switched the catflap to 'in only' i woke in the night to the sound of a cat crying in the lobby, only to find out that it was some other black cat.... let him out and saw that the food had gone also! guess that was to be expected really. So all i can do now is keep calling him, keep my eyes peeled and hope for the best.

Fox, i too am waddling for england, i hate it because it almost looks like i am doing it on purpose, but for some reason my body cant walk without doing it!! I love being pregnant but i really feel like i am out of control of my body with all the aches and pains that i seem to be having, still only 62 days to go!!

not sure if i am brave enough to venture into a swimming pool, i am sure i am the biggest and roundest pregnant woman in Nottingham at the mo, i have visions of all the other ladies being 'neat' and all sylph like, although i guess it would benifit all of us with back/spd/cramp problems, maybe i will have a think about it....

Kitty, lol @ lardylump, poor thing, i bet shes just as cute as the next 1 year old, as for the hair, DD was born with a mass of black hair, all very straight, she looked like a little eskimo, she never lost any of it and it has just got longer, thicker and fairer over the past year. I dont want to cut it yet so i have to use clips to stop it from blinding her!!Shes really starting to walk well now, and this morning decided that she wanted to get from one couch to the other, i was covertyl watching to see what she would do, shes so funny, she puts her hands out purses her lips and makes noises like an ape till she gets to where she wants to get, then stands there with her mouth wide open and her eyes all crinkled shut till i say well done! I cant wait to see how shes going to react/interact with her new brother!

right off to do something constructive.....well try to anyway!

3rdTriMossTer · 05/01/2007 11:06

Diva / Amie I'm afraid I'm one of those first time parents who was taken in by excellent sales patter! Having said that it wasn't me paying for the buggy, it was mil, and it is lovely, and it was reduced.

Still expensive though. Glad we weren't buying!

Ikwym though, if you were to believe everything you read in the magazines you'd think you needed to spend an absolute fortune. I'm just blagging loads of second hand stuff wherever I can.

Jay/Diva, no cramp, but I have shooting pains at the top of my bump (my fundus - keep wanting to call it my fungus) where it is pushing up. When I told the mw she said it was normal and could happen, but that it would only get worse from now. It's always worse after I've had a big meal.

So there's nothing I can do.

Callie it is quite a long commute. It's longer than it used to be because it takes me so much longer to walk anywhere! The train bit is only about 35 minutes but the walk to the station, and the walk at the other end, just keep taking longer...

Yes, pelvic floor exercises. Got given a new day plan to match my new less stressful role today. I'll have to leave ten minutes for the pelvic floor exercises.

Although I think the perinial massage will still be one to do at home

Rosy I waddle too!

Foxy, "staying up late" for me atm is going to bed at ten thirty.

Dh has given up drinking now until I "drop", just in case he needs to drive me to the hospital. This means that he's more awake than usual so instead of coming to bed with me at half nine he now comes upstairs at about midnight!

I can't sleep alone, so I have started taking the Ziggy (the cat) to bed with me. Now I have a bump against which he can snuggle he actually gets under the duvet with me.

Dh kicks him out as soon as he comes upstairs though!

3rdTriMossTer · 05/01/2007 11:33

Jay good luck with your cat. It might be worth ringing the editorial people as well and seeing if they will put in a snippet, too.

I know our local papers do if they're short of news of car parking fines and lamp posts being built in people's front yards.

Although having said that of course this week the St Helens papers are really distressing, I couldn't read them

Love the thought of going swimming but our local baths is a bit rough! I am going to wait until I finish work and then find out if you can use the pool in the Hilton on a pool-only basis, or whether you have to pay for the whole gym thing.

Better go and do some more work now. My role doesn't officially change until Monday but I already feel like the stress has lifted off my shoulders...

eidsvold · 05/01/2007 11:38

i have to waddle in to swim with dd2 - she does mother and toddler swimming classes - thankfully only a few mums but they are all slim and trim and taut and I am the heffalump staggering into and out of the pool. Great whilst I am in.

It is summer here - got to get swimming too hot not to. I will be doing it right up until no3 is born. Dd2 has lessons from start of Feb until easter long weekend - hopefully after that she can 'graduate' to lessons without me. If not - then I will be going in post c-section and wobbly belly!!

LunarSea · 05/01/2007 11:46

Amie - so next Thursday, 7pm @ St Nicks?????

kiwibella · 05/01/2007 11:58

I'm pleased that you are feeling better about work Moss... it must make it easier to be there.

Jay... hope the kitty returns soon. Dh has been putting up a selection of piccies from 2006 on our website. If you want a peep, they are here

Great sleep Foxy... bet you feel like a million $$!! Your ds sounds so cute - tho its a bit scary thinking that nb clothes fit his dolly.

Amie... I have had a few headaches recently too. I've even given in and taken paracetamol. I wonder if it is being out of routine in the hols (staying up later, getting up much later). Next week will tell.

25 work days to go on Monday... must find out if there are any inset days / long weekends to look forward to

I've just learned that my sister has been planning a baby shower for me!! She was a bit concerned that I had said I didn't like them (but I was planning dinner for the girls). We have come to a compromise and she is running it past a few friends now.

52 days until EDD.

eidsvold · 05/01/2007 12:00

finally made it to the third trimester - 28 weeks today!!

AmieR · 05/01/2007 12:05

Moss - Wouldn't worry about it, we bought a growbag room thermometer as I liked the fact it glows red if its too hot and blue if its too cold! Simple things...

Jay - hope you have some luck with finding your cat

I mean well with pelvic floor exercises and start off going great guns then I've forgotten by lunch time to do another set of reps.. I am tempted to set an alert on my phone to remind me!

Lunar - its a date!

I am not worried by everyone being slim and trim, I've been a bit of a bloater since I was 18... I just think I've got my own beyonceaid (Spelling!) and will keep afloat better.

Nat23 · 05/01/2007 12:08

We lost our cat earlier this year (he was like my first baby and I was absolutely distraught). A really useful website is www.mymoggy.com which has lots of helpful hints on how to help cats return home. E.g. bitz the street with posters at least 4/5 streets around the house/ empty the vacuum cleaner (with his smell) outside the house/ Go out at night (when it is quiet) call his name once shake buscuits then listen... then repeat. check with the council and all the usual services.

Hope this is helpful and I hope you find your cat.
