Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

*WOULDN'T have treated me as having gd. Damn typo.

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 02/12/2015 12:52

yorkshire - I think you should bring your big granny pants with you, and then see how "supportive" the nappy pants are once you've actually got them on. If they feel like they will stay up properly without anything else, then just go for the trousers. If they feel a bit....loose? Insecure? Then I'd add some granny pants on top. The worst that can happen is that you come home with still clean pants!

jelly - My GTT experience was the same as yours. No finger prick tests - three full blood tests at hour intervals, with no water or anything allowed in between. The issue of not being allowed to move around wasn't so much of an issue since I was pretty much collapsed in a heap in their waiting room anyway. Also, the sugar drink thing was VILE. And absolutely enormous!!!!

I have an "interview" this week with a midwife woman who runs ante natal classes in our area. I'm a bit urgh about it all, since the only reason I wanted to go to the sodding classes was so my husband could hear about what to expect, etc. But they changed the timetable, so now he can only come to ONE of the classes (out of 8). I honestly don't see the point in going on my own. There's no social element either - it's not like NCT where you all buddy up and hang out. This is France. No-one gives a shit about people they don't know Grin

oneyorkshirepud · 02/12/2015 12:59

Gx Honey, when do you get your results?

I have regular mat pads too Jelly but a few people said to get the pants for the first day or so - classy look I think!

honeysucklejasmine · 02/12/2015 13:31

This is France. No-one gives a shit about people they don't know

LOL!

Within 5 working days Pud

MollyBloomYes · 02/12/2015 14:14

I had a catheter for the first 24 hours after c section. So it all bloody leaked out the side anyway because any pants or pad wouldn't lie flat over the tube! Then they forgot about changing it (the catheter) and it got so overloaded it fell out by itself! Bleugh!

Went to citizens advice. Her answer to every question I asked was 'I should think so'. Chuffing marvellous. Trying to untangle finances is exhausting, can't do X until I know y, can't do y until this happens...I guess if it all goes completely tits up I'll have to get a ccj or something. Not like I'm in a position to buy a house or rent on own at the moment anyway?!

MollyBloomYes · 02/12/2015 14:19

Not a ccj, a debt relief order. Ccj is what I'm trying to avoid!

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/12/2015 14:48

I had a catheter too, I'd forgotten that and the MWs put bed pads under me. I think i was totally naked under the blankets actually!
Were you chained to the bed with those weird blow up ankle things too molly?!

I bought some paper pad pants pud but they were super dooper uncomfortable so I just used massive pads and granny knickers. I'm not sure of the logistics of taking off and putting on those pants every time you need to change them.

MollyBloomYes · 02/12/2015 14:58

I've heard tell of these blow up things but no I didn't have them, just the sexy stockings and horrible injections!

KeepTheHope · 02/12/2015 15:05

So the news has been spread. There were tears and hugs and then my Nan has basically planned to knit an entire wardrobe of clothes for the first year!!

Sorry to all those feeling ill ThanksBrew take care of yourselves.

Molly it's no wonder you're getting a bit overwhelmed but great that you'll be getting some support.

honeysucklejasmine · 02/12/2015 15:22

Well done Molly, push on forward! Will you wait two years, or are you now thinking of petitioning for divorced based on behaviour? Small mercy now but at least there isn't a house involved. You need to get on CSA asap though, especially with Christmas and the birth this month!

pretzelpieces · 02/12/2015 15:43

Well done molly it's good that you've got advice. I hope the money stuff works out ok.

keep that's lovely! We're all knitters in my family and let's just say it's a good job I'm having a winter baby!

SecondCupOfTea · 02/12/2015 15:49

I've been a bit AWOL from the Fred, lots to do and not enough time in the day before sleep grabs me. However, today I have been entertaining myself with one of the funniest threads I read in a while...go on, treat yerselves... www.mumsnet.com/Talk/childbirth/1046258-Clitoral-stimulation-during-labour Grin

MollyBloomYes · 02/12/2015 17:12

Can't think about divorce at the moment, not sure we can afford the fees! Both agreed to let dust settle on baby etc then reassess in the new year for now he's given me money to cover everything this month and if he ends up not paying then I'll have to instigate csa. But very much hoping it won't come to that.

Mermaid36 · 02/12/2015 17:45

Big hugs Molly you are being so brave! I hope that the money side sorts itself out

Keep Yay! I can't wait to tell our families at Xmas. DH has a nanna that knits, I'm quite looking forward to lovely handmade baby blankets!

So, I've been to see the MW for the first time. As I thought, I'll end up as a consultant led pregnancy, due to several factors, and I don't get a choice of hospital for delivery. I've now got to wait for my booking appointment to come through, but she said it will probably after Xmas cos of when 8/10 weeks falls for me.

jellypi3 · 02/12/2015 18:02

Oh no did you want to be consultant led mermaid? Hope you get your scan date soon!

molly I hope he does the right thing and doesn't make your next few weeks any harder. You would need to be living apart for 2 years before considering divorce anyway unfortunately.

Hey tea! That thread is amazing! Really, someone wanted to try that. Lol!!

Mermaid36 · 02/12/2015 18:08

jelly I always knew I'd be a high risk pregnancy, so it was always a given that they'd panic over me!!

CountryGal4 · 02/12/2015 19:28

You know standard smp. You get 90 % for 6 weeks. Is that working weeks full weeks? I'm confused how many working days does that equate to?

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/12/2015 19:52

IIRC country it's taken from a sample six weeks in the second trimester ie; 22-28. But I can't remember exactly.

OP posts:
CountryGal4 · 02/12/2015 19:53

IIRC???

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/12/2015 19:53

So if during that six week period you work 40 hours a week, you'll get 90% of what you take home in those weeks.

I hope that makes sense?

I'm not sure how if works if your salaried.

OP posts:
ThursdayLastWeek · 02/12/2015 19:53

If I recall correctky

fruitlovingmonkey · 02/12/2015 19:55

Aww Keep that's lovely. Babies in knitted clothes are so cute.
Hope you are feeling better today Carrot.
Has anyone heard from Sky, I haven't seen her in a while.
I'm mega tired today, didn't go to bed until almost 2 last night. I was close to falling asleep at work this afternoon.
For some reason I just read an article about foetal abduction in the Guardian. Now I'm wandering around holding my bump protectively and wondering if all the pregnant woman I know are actually pg or if it's just a fucked- up plan to steal my baby.

CountryGal4 · 02/12/2015 19:55

I'm salaried :S

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/12/2015 19:57

I guess it probably just takes itself from a month and half of your salary then. Divide by 6, 90% of that!

OP posts:
5hell · 02/12/2015 20:42

you sound worried country ...SMP is a bit crap, but I think it's prob easier to work out what you'll get if you're salaried. if you happened to get any extra during the calculation period then that will be included and you'll get more :)
