Oh ladies, I really feel for you, I've not had a great day but it's not been terrible but I too have found myself in tears and just not knowing quite how to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

But it is there! We will reach the relative calm of the second trimester!

MagicDucky · 07/11/2015 22:45

Violet my doctor said she'd rather wait for a week or two as she thinks my hormones should settle down about now. She thinks my tiredness makes my sickness worse so signed me off for a week to see if that made a difference. I just seem to be getting worse. I think I'll have to go back and see her xx

MagicDucky · 07/11/2015 22:46

biking that is exactly how I feel but OH keeps telling me how it will all be worth it in the end!! He's right!! ...for once... Haha!

obsessedlex · 07/11/2015 23:34

Thanks ladies I didn't call epu as it seems to have stopped as quickly as it started - tmi sorry - but bleeding was just after I'd strained for a much needed number 2 - I reckon that could be why.

  • hope you all sleep tight xx
Potkettleblack2 · 07/11/2015 23:45

obsessed I've had that twice this week (TMI too). I panicked but then realised the bleeding wasn't coming from the right place. I think I've already got hemorrhoids! I had them during my first pregnancy too. Pregnancy is definitely not glamorous!

Rose2806 · 08/11/2015 01:13

I'm at a family member's 60th birthday and have had to give up and go to bed while everyone twice my age is still dancing the night away.. Never felt so old!! All for a good reason though :-)

BiffleRoo · 08/11/2015 01:20

Hi betty I also have DDs 12 and 10 but DH and I have a DS 16mths.

Lovelybeano · 08/11/2015 06:17

I've been awake since silly o clock, so I've given up and come downstairs to watch emmerdale omnibus in peace :) I'm sure I'm going to be tired all day but I may be able to sneak an hour later on.
Has anyone read any good books lately? As in fiction not baby related haha
8 weeks today woohoo !!

mrsmugoo · 08/11/2015 07:16

Actually woken up by nausea at the crack of dawn today. Really, really suffering with this. Was sick about 20 times yesterday. I can't do anything! Doctors appt not til next Thursday Confused

Lovelybeano · 08/11/2015 07:46

Aww mugoo maybe phone the docs and see if they can move the appointment forward ?

Betty79 · 08/11/2015 09:32

I was awake feeling sick at 5, had to try and eat a biscuit quietly which didn't work. Put sickness bands on and managed to go back to sleep, but am up again whilst everyone else sleeps. Making the most of the piece and quiet!

I've had some spotting after straining too, I think I must have an irritated cervix as the scan didn't show any areas of bleeding near the baby. It did show a cyst tho, has anyone else had this? She said its nothing to worry about and they usually go away on their own.

mrslewis2015 · 08/11/2015 10:36

Oh mugoo I feel so sorry for you, perhaps give them a call and see if they can see you sooner, you don't want to get dehydrated! Really hope you have some relief today!

MadrigalElectromotive · 08/11/2015 10:53

mrsmugoo are you keeping any fluids down at the moment?

mrsmugoo · 08/11/2015 11:19

I am keeping enough fluids down to keep my head above water but food doesn't stay down. Sympathies to any others in this boat - it's miserable!

bikingintherain · 08/11/2015 11:43

mrsmugoo have you found the hypermesis (sp?!) thread? I'm not bad enough for it but did lurk on there a little bit when I thought I was heading that way. They have lots of knowledge and I'm sure could offer you some practical advice.

Pamplem0use · 08/11/2015 12:31

Pleased to see all of the scan pictures :) had an early scan and then my proper one two weeks tomorrow and booking in next Friday. All very exciting.... although less thrilled with the fact that so far (1) my EPAU appointment went astray and (2) my midwifes referral went astray so if I hadn't pestered I wouldn't have got an appointment any time soon!
Oh well!
How are those of you getting on when you have little ones already (Biffle?) - mine are 5 and 3 and being a bit of a handful! I feel so awful at their bedtime that if DH isn't around I've ended up asking various relatives to help me get them down. Bit of a win-lose situation as they seem to get really hyper by the prospect of having someone new around, but doubt I'd cope on my own! Think this is the worst pregnancy I've had so far but DH is being v supportive and gets the form now so I've coped better.

Any other teachers out their????? All-day sickness and full time Early Years teaching = not great fun either!

Sorry for the whinge!

obsessedlex · 08/11/2015 12:45

Should I have been sent some kind of form/pack to fill in before my booking in appointment? I think I remember someone mentioning something earlier and I haven't received anything yet X

MollieRos · 08/11/2015 12:59

Mrsmugoo that sounds awful. Is it worth trying to get an earlier doctors appt to see if they can give you something to help?

Obsessed I didn't get set anything before my booking in appt, not even an appointment letter- we filled everything in while I was there.

Funny/despairing moment today... had a lazy morning as I was feeling so sick, breakfast in bed then just lazed about reading in bed for a while. Eventually got up, had to dash to be sick, and while my head was down the toilet puking, the toilet seat fell onto my head and gave me a proper crack. sigh. Roll on the second trimester.

BiffleRoo · 08/11/2015 14:24

pample it really is a struggle sometimes isn't it. My girls are 10 & 11 but do swim training 4 times a week which is a real struggle for me as I just want to sleep by 7pm and my sickness is at its worst at night. DS is 16 months and sometimes I admit to relying far too heavily on CBeebies and counting down the minutes until DH gets home and can take over.

I found it much easier when I was working full time while pg with DS as being a full time mum when you either want / need to throw up or sleep is hard work without the distractions of work.

Lovelybeano · 08/11/2015 14:53

I feel a bit mean on my kids, especially today - I haven't even got dressed, we've played monopoly this morning, I went back to bed for an hour and that's about it! We're quite busy through the week so fortunately they don't mind a lazy day every now and again but I still feel guilty xx

BiffleRoo · 08/11/2015 15:07

Don't feel bad beano I've got mine doing housework!!!

mrslewis2015 · 08/11/2015 16:04

I work in early years too pample it's a long old day isn't it! I'm not coping at all with it truth me told! Doesn't help that we are understaffed and running out of space! (We were supposed to expand to a new building but there have been delays... Got the new children tho of course!) sigh!

Lovelybeano · 08/11/2015 17:09

Lol biffle!! Dd has gone to her panto rehearsal, oh has dropped her off and taken ds out so I'm off in the shower, popping some fresh jimjams on ready to watch Robin Hood. I'm just ruling today as a sofa day but I need to get cracking tomorrow while the kids are at school so when I go to work on Tuesday, things can run smoothly. Oh went shopping as well today bless him, he's trying his best to keep things running like clockwork, he's come home with some ready meals for me, I've never actually eaten a ready meal but he's concerned that I'm not eating enough, his theory is I can warm it up quickly when I fancy something cos usually by the time I've cooked, I feel quesy again Confused

GrubbyWindows · 08/11/2015 17:10

biffle loving your style! Got to work on DS(2.5)'s housekeeping skills...

Massive respect to the teachers on the thread- my job is a nice quiet office gig, and that's hard enough.

DS is definitely playing up more at the mo, and I'm pretty sure it's because I'm just not paying him enough attention. I'm still breastfeeding him, and I'm relying on that massively as bonding time, since I can doze at the same time. I do feel like I'm short changing him, he's getting very little actual interaction from me. Sitting on my lap watching strictly doesn't really cut it, does it? Ho hum...

Lovelybeano · 08/11/2015 18:12

Can we eat peanuts ?
