I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

I'm 6+2. GPs given me meds but if things don't improve today I may need to be admitted for anti sickness meds and iv fluids. I've got ketones in my urine. I'm feeling very sorry for myself :(

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 03/11/2015 13:10

Oh dear becks that sounds awful! I hope the meds help. When did the sickness start?

Cookiesandcoffee · 03/11/2015 13:13

Oh no Becks hope it calms down soon, so thankful I haven't actually been sick but am getting nauseous. The tiredness is my problem! Sooo tired. Oh and bluebell yep the tmi issue here too! I don't remember it from precious pregnancies?! You are all very organised with your appointments, I haven't bothered yet, my booking appointments haven't been til 9 weeks so I figured I have plenty of time?! Also worrying I won't get a scan before Xmas.. Have researched and you can get a 12 week one in Southampton (local to me) for £40 so I'm going to book it in the week leading to Xmas just incase i don't manage an NHS one in time.
Yes Sonia I was also wondering about laytex too... Hope you are still here?
Ps went for leggings today, couldn't face the jeans!!

photographerlady · 03/11/2015 15:18

Hey ladies

Had that awkward moment today registering my pregnancy with the same GP that referred us two weeks ago for another round of IVF :)

photographerlady · 03/11/2015 15:22

Hey cookie Southampton here too. Booked my scan with ultra sound direct (terrible name), went for the dating one just before Xmas.

beckslovestimmy · 03/11/2015 16:05

Youandme the sickness started about 4-5 days ago. I had the same with DD and was on antiemetics until week 20. It's definitely worse this time round especially as I've now got a toddler to look after!! I think the meds have helped a bit I've only actually vomited once since I took them and I've managed a slice of toast and a few sips of a hot chocolate! Gp referred me to midwives so will wait for an appointment date with them.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 03/11/2015 16:41

Becks Glad the meds seem to be doing something. I hope you get better and better and don't suffer like before.

Photographer i booked in with the same gp tomorrow that had just done my fertility bloods last month. I'm going to take her in a big bunch of flowers as most gps wouldn't have been interested in me struggling ttc as I already have 3 children.

We have our friends over tonight. Im exhausted. I could go to bed now if I'm honest. I hope the night goes quick. That's mean isn't it.

I have had lots of crampy feelings today so worried a little as not sure if it's normal. I should know by now haha. Anyway it's settled after I ate so I think a lot was hunger.

I'm by no means slim in fact overweight but the bottom of my tummy feels really hard and I'm sure everything has moved forward already.

photographerlady · 03/11/2015 17:55

Beaut that's a lovely gesture and glad to hear they looked after you so well.

Lollipop86 · 03/11/2015 17:57

Im off to the GP on Thursday. Should I have just asked to register with a midwife straight away? Also worried I won't be able to get a pre-Christmas scan - photographer thanks for sharing about Ultra Sound Direct I'm going to check them out! Xx

CultureSucksDownWords · 03/11/2015 18:31

I just phoned my GPs and asked the receptionist what I needed to do. She booked me straight in with the midwife and I have to pick up a "pregnancy pack" from reception before my appointment. It might depend on your GP surgery as to what process you need to follow.

Lollipop86 · 03/11/2015 18:54

Thanks for the tip culture I'll call them again tomorrow xx

photographerlady · 03/11/2015 18:59

Lolli nice thong about them you can cancel at no cost if your 12 week scan magically happens before Xmas.

photographerlady · 03/11/2015 18:59

Thing not thong Grin

Cookiesandcoffee · 03/11/2015 20:50

Oooo photographer can you?? That's good.. The one I booked with last time (it's probably a different place) you had to pay a deposit at booking which you didn't get back. DH keeps referring to me as 'barely pregnant' and it's really annoying me Angry didn't believe me that I swear my tummy is starting to swell. He's just blaming the biscuits Biscuit

SoniaShoe · 03/11/2015 21:39

becks sorry to hear you're so I'll. And especially so soon. I hope the med are still working and they keep working for you.

Another early night for me. I can't stay awake much past 9.00 at the moment

Flowersonthewall · 03/11/2015 21:58

Hi ladies

I'm not feeling too bad at the moment strange acidy feeling but no terrible nausea like I did with my first pregnancy....I'm sure it'll kick in soon!

I called up my gp practice on Monday and they booked me in on Friday when ill only be at 4+4 I wasn't expecting an appointment until 8 weeks but i've moved areas since my last pregnancy so perhaps do things differently here.
We've told my mil as she needs all the good news she can get to keep her going through a terminal illness. No one else just yet but with various parties nights out and Christmas things planned I'm going to have to tell some friends. ...There is no way I can get away with not drinking and pretending I'm on antibiotics...suppose I could always say I'm doing a dry month!

CultureSucksDownWords · 03/11/2015 22:11

So sorry about your MIL, flowers - hopefully your news will bring some happiness and a welcome distraction.

I stopped drinking altogether when pregnant with my DS and never really started again, so fortunately no one will expect me to be drinking. Hopefully I can get away with one small glass of something and no one will pay too much attention if I drink it or not. That's my plan anyway!

photographerlady · 04/11/2015 07:41

Think the hormones are hitting me, went to bed at 8pm in a right huff. Something a long the lines of "why don't you wanna talk about babies 24/7 with me" poor Dh Smile

Jem01 · 04/11/2015 08:33

Hope you feel better soon Becks
cookie good idea about booking a private scan just incase i don't manage an NHS one in time before Xmas.
flowers sorry about your mother in law flowers..I'm sure she was delighted when you told her :-) I told friends I was doing Sober October not sure what fib I can use for Nov!!
photographer I went to bed at half 8 yesterday and 9 the day before tiredness is really creeping up on me!!

How is everyone else feeling today?

Bluebell20 · 04/11/2015 08:46

Becks, I'm really glad the tablets have helped.

Flowers, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. I really hope that your news brings a bit of extra sunshine to her in these grey autumn days!

One of my close (male) friends guessed that I was pregnant the other day. He and his wife are TTC, and I was a bit too knowledgeable about everything pregnancy-related when we were talking! Whoops!

Midwife called yesterday but I missed her. Going to ring her back shortly... Exciting!

5+4

Bluebell20 · 04/11/2015 09:30

Oooo, just got my booking-in appointment sorted - 18th November! Not too far away! She's asked me to decide which hospital I want to go to... Lots to think about!

Jem01 · 04/11/2015 09:46

Good news bluebell and not too long to go until your appointment.

photographerlady · 04/11/2015 09:57

nice one bluebell

Is it standard to have a 8 weeks appointment with the midwife even if you had a baby before? You think I would remember this stuff from last time but mind is super mushy lately.

Bluebell20 · 04/11/2015 10:33

Photographerlady, I think everyone is supposed to have them between 8 and 10 weeks, to get the ball rolling.

Symptoms update: still a bit constipated side, which is annoying considering how much fibre I eat!

Woodsy81 · 04/11/2015 10:44

photographerlady , I am sure my friend had an 8 week appt with her second and third, so yeah, I think its with all pregnancies. I still have sore boobs but they seem to have become less painful (worried). But I have put on a top that fit me fine last week and it feels unbelievably tight round my bust. Wish I could just relax into being pregnant but its so difficult to do when you are a born worrier. Getting my flu jab tomorrow so that will leave me with one less thing to worry about. lol. :)
