I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

Sorry for missing ppl out I just tried to get everyone in from my last post very busy thread !! Xx

CultureSucksDownWords · 13/11/2015 18:30

Thanks, EllieJayJay, I'm doing ok. Much like some others have also experienced, I've just got this browny-pink tinge going on. It comes and goes, and hasn't got worse. I still have all the usual symptoms - nausea/sore boobs/exhaustion - so I'm focussing on that as much as possible. I hope it doesn't continue for the whole pregnancy as I don't think my nerves can take it!

smallplainblonde · 13/11/2015 18:49

I'm finding this thread great as I've only told my husband and mum so it's great to hear from people going through the same thing.

Culture, hope you're ok. I'm finding I'm analysing everything my body does and worrying.

I'm probably going to be asking loads of stupid questions in here but should I stop dyeing my hair? I usually get a full head of highlights every 8-10 weeks!

Wellthen · 13/11/2015 18:55

Hi all - good this thread moves fast. I can jumps on the brown discharge bus Sad But as everyone has said it could be nothing, its just hard to play the waiting game all the time.

Other symptoms the same - nausea throughout the day, sore blobs and occasional cramping.

Other teachers - how are you finding getting all the 'other stuff' done. I can manage the teaching, as a long as I keep eating, but by the end of the day I just can't face marking, displays, planning, organising, phoning people and on and on!! My Head is being fantastic though. I'm glad I told her but slightly worried about telling her if it goes wrong.

Sigh. Positive thoughts, positive thoughts.

Wellthen · 13/11/2015 18:56

God not good, jump not jumps and boobs not blobs!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 18:57

Small some of the guideline say not to have any all over colour during pregnancy. I mean a colour that's painted on all over and touches the roots. So doesn't apply to highlights. I however, have had my hair highlighted and all over colours and continued to do so through all of my pregnancies. I don't worry about things like that. I will continue having my lash lift treatments etc. The only thing I will do is tell anyone that's giving me a facial or massage that I'm pregnant as certain oils aren't advised during pregnancy as they can be absorbed. I also avoid Vitamin A in moisturisers as well as foods.

smallplainblonde · 13/11/2015 19:01

Thanks so much beautician! As you seem in the know can i also ask about painting nails? I take it that's ok? I need to stop reading other stuff on the internet, it's scary.

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 19:04

Random but for those of you with sore boobs, do you find it is one sided? My left is definitely more sore/tingling than the right x

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 19:28

Small I'm no expert and I don't follow all the guidelines as I'm more relaxed now after three. Yes you can paint your nails. Basically the only things you have to avoid are certain foods, alcohol, smoking, some essential oils, taking up new sports, high impact sports and that's about it. Oh and if you have a cat I think you have to stay away from the litter and away from sheep but that doesn't affect me.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 19:29

If you want to know anything please ask just remember I'm no expert Smile

smallplainblonde · 13/11/2015 19:40

beautician thanks so much. I'm probably being completely paranoid about everything. I'm the first of my friends to be pregnant and also an only girl so it's great to get some advice. Thank you xxx

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 19:40

Gx91 where are you from?? Xx

Gx91 · 13/11/2015 19:54

Hey I'm from Falkirk like in the centre lol and yes my right boob hurts and my left seems ok for the time being , also got a sore back and bloating no nausea yet !
With DD I had slight nausea and couldn't cook because it would put me off eating it , was rarely sick X really enjoyed my pregnancy until the end I just wanted her out lol xxx

wantingno2 · 13/11/2015 19:55

Hi Indians, I know how you feel! I was heaving today when the guys from work came back in after their smoke break. My sense of smell is really strong. Hope you feel better soon x

Gx91 · 13/11/2015 20:06

Good thing we don't all stay in the same place or the hosp would be crazy busy come July! Lol xxx

wantingno2 · 13/11/2015 20:19

Hahaha I read ur in Scotland I'm in Manchester so I will be going to the same hospital where I had my son St Marys hospital there fabulous they looked after me through all my miscarriages and consultant care all through my pregnancy with my son it was a lovely experience all thow I didn't like the birthing pool but had my own room so it was peaceful and my midwife was great rubbed my back the whole way through labour x

RoTo72 · 13/11/2015 21:15

Ds and oh had great meal. I managed to nibble a bit of bruschetta for starter half a burger for main and half a kids ice cream. And as I suspected I trumpeted the entire time. Heading home now for pjs and gogglebox.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 21:21

DH put a ghost chilli in the dinner. I managed two bites but it was too hot. So I've just polished off two brown cobs with Philly. I've a feeling I'll regret that when in a while. Feeling the bloat. Hmm
