I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

Sonia we are saving a house deposit so we want to go away in this country with our 3ds before the baby arrives. We were thinking the end of June but that's out now as too close to my due date. Ds1 has sats in May so we are now thinking a March holiday to Haven. Not quite as exciting as going abroad. The canaries are pretty warm all year round so that may be an option for you as not an awfully long flight.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 13/11/2015 14:22

Sonia we're thinking of going away at around the same time. We're thinking of Santorini or that neck of the woods. My preference is Santorini, but might be a bit too much walking at that stage of pregnancy though. Possibly Greece or Portugal would be a good laze by the pool option instead.

Gx91 · 13/11/2015 14:25

Hey can I join ? I'm following Peyia , becks and Loki over here from other thread just got my BFP yesterday ! Grin
According to dates I'm due 19th July ( summer baby yeehaaa ) still addicted to POAS at the moment ! Got a few to use up lol xxx

SoniaShoe · 13/11/2015 14:39

make the most of those impromptu dinners out ellie !

thanks for the holiday suggestions they sound good. we have a 3yo so something cheap by a pool would be ideal. we're saving for my maternity leave so it would have to be budget but i like the idea of the canaries in april or greece is hot by then too i think.

welcome gx91 and congratulations!

Gx91 · 13/11/2015 15:01

Thank u Sonia , the canaries r great !

wantingno2 · 13/11/2015 15:25

EllieJayJay · 13/11/2015 15:26

I know I should :) we do go out a fair bit I am lucky I know, could just do with a night on the sofa - am very very tearful today, I'm actually compiling a list of things that make me cry... As its so random. I cried at a cute looking pickle the other day... I cried because the cat looked at me in a cute way and cried because it meant he really did love me (then I had to hug the others because I didn't want them to be jealous) This is out of character for me, I am not a cryer... I don't cry at weddings, i hate rom-coms etc etc so this is very weird for me. I am a very loving caring person but not a cryer....

I love gran canaria have hired a villa a few times, some are not as expensive as you think and food is cheap out - you get your own pool and that for me is heaven.

wantingno2 · 13/11/2015 15:27

There's a few of us hoping over from the November bus it is definitely a lucky bus

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 15:44

Sonia shoe that's such a nice positive way to look at it! :)

4+5

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 16:07

Sorry my app didn't update and I only read Sonia shoes comment about every week being a milestone and I thought thT was lovely!

I would love a holiday before baby comes, it's our 5th year anniversary in February and my cousin is getting married at Easter so would really have to go Feb or March. Would love some sun!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 13/11/2015 16:38

Well I shouldn't have been worrying about the disappearing symptoms. I've felt sick as anything most of the day today!

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 16:53

Typical! It's such miserable weather here in Scotland I just want to get into bed with a takeaway and hot water bottle and relax in front of a film hahaha!

Hubby got tickets to cinema tonight, 9pm showing. Given I didn't sleep all night I am going to try have a nap.

RoTo72 · 13/11/2015 17:04

Oh I'm so bloated. Feel like someone stuck a bicycle pump in me and blew me up. Meant to be going out for dinner with oh and ds, hope I can eat as I'm so uncomfortable ??

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 17:14

I felt like that today too. Been having soup for lunch which is much better than junk food but then been having heavy-ish dinners. Today felt so sick at lunch I just fancied wedges but then got heart burn and felt like a whale!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 17:14

I had heartburn after eating last night. DH is making Enchiladas for us tonight. If I get heartburn again I will have to get some gaviscon in and eat early.

6+1

RoTo72 · 13/11/2015 17:20

After 16yrs (last time I was pg) I completely forgot about Gaviscon. The was another one I used, began with an A, cant rem name.

RoTo72 · 13/11/2015 17:21

(I.just hope i don't trumpet all night and embarrass the other two) lol

Cookiesandcoffee · 13/11/2015 17:26

roto I feel exactly the same! A very rare night out without DDs and I feel the size of an inflated elephant. Do you find you get bigger as the day goes on? I've also stated we won't be going anywhere I have to look nice for!

All these holidays sounds so great! Canaries will be good! Not expensive at that time of year and will be warm but not too hot. There's no way I can persuade DH for an abroad holiday next year :( financially it's a no no. Might invest in a UK one but I'm a sunworshiper.

Tomorrow I'm on the hunt for leggings.

RoTo72 · 13/11/2015 17:30

Yeah def. Usually I put it don to eating and bloat, but really haven't had anything much today. A slice of toast and 3 squares of chocolate. Maybe eating will settle me. I got maternity clothes in new look, I'm 43 do wont be using them again and didn't want to pay too much.

Cookiesandcoffee · 13/11/2015 17:33

small I flew to Germany at 7/8 weeks last time. It's mainly 32/34weeks + where the airlines have policies about flying. Second what others say about clear blue digitals. They are known for producing false negatives, i didn't bother buying any this time round!
lily that sounds similar to what i have experienced before and I was told it was common. Ended in a healthy 6 yr old now! So try not to worry. If you think it is turning into more then do get in contact with someone. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Ellizardo · 13/11/2015 17:47

Greetings Jem! I went to Lewisham for DC1 in March and would rate them pretty high. Happy to speak to you separately about it if you'd like. Out of 8 of us in my NCT group, 7 went there and one went to Queen Elizabeth so have a broad-ish sense.

I've got my midwife appt on Sunday 29th Nov - NHS really are 7 days a week!

I've been dreaming of Menorca/Mallorca/quiet bits of Ibiza...
And I just bought some joggers on Gap maternity! Now, what's next on the To Do list?!

HappyGirly10 · 13/11/2015 17:50

Thanks for adding me Sonia, and yes was lovely seeing the midwife and getting things started, she gave out the ready, steady baby book and some info on breastfeeding etc. So plenty reading to do!! Booking appointment is 9th dec, but we have scan in 1st dec which I'm so excited about!!

Hi to all the new people and congrats! Lots of July babies :-) :-)

We are keen on a lovely sunshine holiday also, but latest I would fly is April/may. Cape Verde, south italy, canaries all nice that time of year. I'm dreaming of sun, relaxation and not having to cook for a fortnight!! Haha!

5+3

Yaaaaay gx, glad you've joined Grin

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 17:57

Roto during my last pregnancy I was guzzling gaviscon from the bottle. I'm windy and bloated too usually in the evening it's embarrassing I hate trumping in front of DH haha. I just blame the baby.

I will get all my maternity clothes from new look too although I may treat myself to one pair of topshop maternity jeans. I'll sell it all after the birth anyway. I'm not talking immediately after as I'll probably be fat for ages Sad

Anyone else showing already? It may be because it's my fourth but I think all the stretching/ cramping I've had is my uterus really growing out. Don't get me wrong I have an apron belly from my previous pregnancies no matter what I can't tone it up but from my bits up to just under my belly it's really sticking out. DH keeps patting it and I keep telling him "you realise you are just patting my fat right " Grin
