I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

loki jojo maman bebe is right near my house I can't wait to start shopping in there again it's fab and 9 ver the bump leggings are definitely the most comfortable thing during pregnancy. I had the worst sleep last night doesn't help when ur toddler decides he wants to sleep in yr bed feet in the face is not cool kept me awake all night I was right on the edge of the bed so so tired today.

Woodsy81 · 13/11/2015 10:02

Meant to ask (totally going of topic, kinda)....did anyone see the sainsburys advert with Mog the cat last night? It was fab! took me right back to childhood and I was sat there thinking OMG, I am going to be a mummy soon. Went online and Sainsbury's are selling the book and mog toy. So tempted to go buy it for future xmas's but still feel like its too early.

Jem01 · 13/11/2015 10:06

Woodsy81 I watched it this morning and absolutley love it! Love the theme of sharing, think it's my favourite so far.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 10:24

Loki I would love to go to the midwife led birthing unit in Melton but feel that really is too far Sad

Ellizardo I'm a shorty haha only 5ft 2. I have no idea which pushchair I like. We sold all of ds3s as I found a problem with each of the 3 I had. He is currently in a Quinny Zapp the most awful pushchair ever. I like a pram to start but I like something compact for the boot.

I suffered terrible insomnia with ds3. So sympathies to those suffering. It was only within the first 12 weeks though probably until something like week 9 and then I slept as well as any pregnant lady can. This time I'm the complete opposite. I'm a sleep monster I could sleep all day.

Feeling quite crampy this morning. Like things are stretching. Even being on #4 I still worry a bit.

i love maternity leggings and jeans, its bliss to be able to tuck your bump up inside them and so comfy not having to fight with buttons any more. H&M are good for them, and also for maternity vest tops which are extra long so you can make sure any gaps are covered.

isabella oliver are gorgeous clothes but so expensive.

6+6 today looking forward to being 7 weeks tomorrow - every week feels like a massive milestone and i'm so pleased i'm still going!

lilydaisyrose · 13/11/2015 11:28

Hello!

I've had an anxious morning as more brown stringy discharge yesterday and last night - then it changed to slightly pale pink/red tinged when I wiped when I went to the loo about 8.15am this morning. My heart sank and I started to shake and I was googling incessantly on my phone. I had to recover though as I had faces to paint for Children in Need for school and kids to get out of the door - that was really really hard. I came home and read up some more and I feel like I'm ok as it's not bright red and I don't feel like I'm bleeding, it's just tinged stringy discharge as far as I can tell, and not very much of it - somewhere I read said that this pale pink/brown discharge can be further impantation in weeks 6-8 and quite common, and that about 30% of women experience this (obviously not sure how true that is). I dont know if this is wishful thinking though... So I did an HPT and the line came up some dark and pink and so quickly (within seconds) that I thought it was the control line! I've been to buy pantyliners & 2 x CB Digitals and am obviously going to keep a close eye on things - can't think about anything else! I've got my friends' kids after school though (school finishes at lunchtime here) - I just want to hole up at home in my jammies!!! I will keep you all posted, but I'm staying positive for now.

Melvali, I'm from just outside lanark.

Had our first midwife appointment today, she was lovely and it's so nice just to talk about being pregnant as with most people I'm trying to hide it for now!

Beautician, I've been getting lots of cramping too, like mild period cramps, hoping that's normal? Has been on and off right from the start.

Loving all the advice re maternity clothes, excited to start having a look!

Xx

HappyGirly10 · 13/11/2015 11:36

Lilydaisyrose, try not to worry too much. Just keep an eye on things. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

Also, could someone add me to the list, can't work out how to do it on ipad!

We both work, but I work part time so don't work on a Friday. We have always had to work round it so its normal for us. If parents can't do the pick up then there's local childminders or an after school club. I like it actually as I get an extra bonus half day with my kids! Friday afternoons are my favourite time of the week. Today we have the dentist (boo), but usually we go somewhere fun (in the summer) or at this time of year, get a film on and eat pizza!!

smallplainblonde · 13/11/2015 12:15

Hi all, I think I can join in . I've had 3 positive tests since yesterday - 2 clearblue (non digital) in the morning (not first thing though) and definitely a line there on both. In the afternoon I did a clearblue digital and it said not pregnant but did a first response first thing and a very clear line (although a bit fainter than the normal line if you get me). Over the moon but also quite nervous as it's so early on. Only came off the pill in late August so quite surprised but delighted that it has happened so quickly. So nervous as I know how common miscarriages are.

Bit of background I came off the pill at the end of August and my got my first proper period on 7th October so it was a 48 day cycle. I was expecting this next cycle to be quite long too so was dtd as usual but trying not to get obsessed with ovulation just yet. I’m now on day 37 of my cycle. This week I’ve been absolutely exhausted, in bed every night at half 9 but still shattered the next day. I’ve also been queasy throughout the day but especially at about 7pm every evening since Monday. Thing is I’ve also had cramps so thought I was just getting monthly visitor. Because my last cycle was so long I have no idea when I ovulated and so no clue of how far along I am/due date! Can anyone offer some advice?

p.s I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread so really sorry if I'm asking something that has been answered. Congrats to everyone!

SoniaShoe · 13/11/2015 12:22

lilydaisyrose oh i see its just on a friday its a half day. that's a really nice thing like you say, it extends out the weekend a bit so you get more time together. i work at home on fridays (although clearly spending most of today on mumsnet..)

hi smallplainblonde Grin. from what you've said, you could count your dates from 7 oct so you are probably 5 weeks plus 2 days today. this would make you due around the end of july. you can make a gp appointment and take it frm there. but you won't know exactly what your due date is until your 12 week scan. a lot of us have had the cramps and worried about them but its fine and normal.

RoTo72 · 13/11/2015 12:25

Hi. 6weeks pg. Went for early (tho didn't know it was so early) scan Monday. Tv scan, seen uterus with two yolk sacs but could only see one embryo. No hb. Have to go back on 23rd for another scan. I panicked like hell for two days but a lot more settled as symptoms seem to be getting stronger. Have had cramping all they pg, now obviously I'm panicking each twinge. But I'm staying positive. Did cb digital last night and still showing 3+ weeks. So hoping alls still good.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 12:29

Lily I hope you are ok. It's so hard not to worry but often bleeding is nothing other than the baby settling in.

Happy yes it is normal. I had it last time with ds3. I can't remember the other two as they are 11 & 9 now. So it's silly that I worry.

Small hi and congratulations. Clear blue digitals are known for not being very sensitive. This time around I got a positive on a digital two days before Af due but with my other children I never got a positive on a digital until
4-7 days after a missed Af. As for dates with pregnancy you don't work from ovulation date the doctor will work from your last missed period date. You get a more accurate date when you have a scan. So I would put your due date at 13th July Smile

6+1

smallplainblonde · 13/11/2015 12:39

Sonia and Beautician, thanks so much, feeling a lot better just reading things from others in the same boat.

Should I go to the doctor soon then? Also, I have to fly (only a short one hour flight) on Tuesday for work. Out in the morning and back that evening. Do you think this will be risky or should I be ok?

EllieJayJay · 13/11/2015 12:50

Thanks Lokki will have a look at their clothes :) DP just suggested dinner out tonight and I've agreed on basis I can continue to wear leggings and tshirt - cannot get dressed up today! Squashed myself into a suit yesterday not wearing anything else today lol

Elliz - generally no issue sleeping as I am constantly tired, but dreams wake me up leaving me unsettled and then I can't sleep properly or I need to pee! Or I squash a boob and scream myself awake

The cramps I had have eased off, but regularly as clockwork "rumble" at about 10pm and 10am - it's weird but true, rest of time it's waves. The boob pain I've been monitoring mine have been growing constantly but yesterday there was no increase and less pain, hurting like hell/feel like their stretching again so coming and going in relation to growth. Plus my boobs are acting weird at times, feel fuller suddenly and occasional little leak hoping this remains little for a while

I have had massive massive food aversions but no sickness in general (please I beg let this continue) I've had symptoms pretty much from two days after conception so hoping I've escaped the sickness - I hear some lucky women escape and since my boobs are now nearly three sizes bigger and I'm shattered constantly don't think I deserve sickness too! Backache from boobs is a killer so already investing in a V shaped pillow :)

I am 6 weeks today :D can't remember who asked??

Hi new ladies x welcome on board :)

And culture please let us know how your doing xxx hope your ok sending you lots of love xx

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/11/2015 12:52

Small you are fine to fly up until around 34 weeks depending on airlines guidelines.

Make an appointment with your gp and they will refer you to the midwife. You have a booking in appointment with the midwife at about 8 weeks. They just ask some questions and take bloods. Sometimes you have to self refer to the midwife so it may be worth asking the reception at your gps to find out what their policy is.

If you go on this

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/pregnancy-and-baby-care.aspx

It gives you all the info you need to know re pregnancy. Including what foods to avoid etc

BumpAndGrind · 13/11/2015 12:54

Can I join?

I had a bfp on a cheapy test 3 days ago, and a CBD 2 days ago said pregnant 1-2 weeks.

Not expecting AF until Tuesday 17th. So wouldn't even be 4 weeks yet.

Due date calculator puts me on 25th July based on LMP. However I know it's early days.

I'm 32, this will our second baby. DD has just turned 2. I live near Chester.

EllieJayJay · 13/11/2015 12:54

Smallblonde - I'd call your surgery and get yourself a midwife appointment, I cant see my mw until December - had to wait five weeks for my appointment that's the earliest they could do. I'm seeing my doctor on Tuesday after seeing a useless one when I found out (new to surgery new gp had never dealt with a pregnant lady didn't even check my medication so get a more senior gp for sure)

smallplainblonde · 13/11/2015 13:02

Thanks so much beautician and Ellie. Great advice on here, I feel so much more reassured. Congrats bump

SoniaShoe · 13/11/2015 13:06

ring the docs and tell them you're pregnant and they will say what their procedure is as they are all different. they will probably get you to meet with the GP first and then the midwife at 8 weeks.

flying is no problem until you're in your last few weeks of pregnancy the airlines have policies of not letting you on without a doc note

SoniaShoe · 13/11/2015 13:16

which reminds me, me and DP were talking about trying to get a cheapie holiday in before the baby comes but the timing of the year isn't great. i don't think we'll go away in july/aug as the baby will be too little and DD starts school in september so this will be our last chance to have a holiday outside of school holiday times for the next 18 years (argh!)

but i think apr/may would be the latest i'd want to fly anywhere, or to be away from home generally. probably april. which limits choices for somewhere hot. i realise this isn't a travel thread Confused but thought some of you may have had the same thoughts of getting a holiday in before the baby (although that may not be on your radar yet!) so might have some ideas.

EllieJayJay · 13/11/2015 13:27

Not sure what everyone else thinks but I think, this is a talk about what we want thread :D and I'm liking the travel talk :) I'm currently dreaming of a nice long holiday xx

bump if it says 1-2 weeks I believe that means you conceived 1-2 weeks ago which makes you 3 to 4 weeks pregnant :) two ways to calculate from first date of last period or if you know when you ovulated conceived that plus two weeks - or so I believe anyway from the hundreds of pages I've seen and people I've spoken too / apps I've consulted lol xx

6 weeks exactly today :) baby is the size of a ladybug :)

EllieJayJay · 13/11/2015 13:29

bump Just realised this is your second baby and I'm kinda answering the wrong person as I saw something else and gave got myself all horribly confused please excuse me as I'm about to pass out again due to exhaustion!!! I keep rambling on randomly at this time of day so please ignore me xx
