I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

Ellie - we're height buddies!
Loki - agree each to her own re buggies. DC1 got so big so fast we couldn't lug him around in the sling for long. Am tempted by a really lightweight pushchair as well - think baby zen do one that fits in overhead locker in plane - but it's all about how you reckon you'll use it. eBay do great 2ndhand deals as do NCT nearly new sales..
Right, off to sleep now!

IComeUndone · 13/11/2015 05:29

Hi Smile.

Can I join please. Bfp yesterday so due date coming out as 22nd July so I'm still v v early. This will be dc3 for me and dc1 for dp, I'm 26 dp 34.

Very cautiously excited to join you guys as I'm very crampy in my lower back and hips atm. Youngest dc is 3 soon and although I remember cramping like this last time I can't remember how bad it was Confused.

Wishing us all a healthy, happy 8 or so months Smile.

Welcome undone nice to meet you, this is for everyone as I understand it who is having a baby in July and wants a natter, support or a bit of a moan - I moan a little too much :D

I keep waking up following very real and vivid dreams, even if nice dreams I wake up feeling giddy, disoriented and in a bit of a panic - I'm not sure if it is cramps waking me up and where I'm so tired my body gets confused? I was laying in bed feeling all out of sorts for thirty minutes last night. Happened again but not so bad at 5am, so I did my last clear blue digital with week predictor and it's jumped up again :D I'm now 3+ (which of course I knew anyway really!) but was nice to see, I then went and had a bath at 5.15am in the morning (only ever seen this time before when I have not gone to bed) and am now tucked up back in bed.

Anyone else having similar problems with sleep? I am just constantly exhausted and this dream/waking up feeling odd is just not helping at all x

EllieJayJay · 13/11/2015 06:02

Ps Eliz where did you buy maternity tops from? I've just purchased two size too big tshirts from top shop as the only place I know that is generally long enough without a baby brewing, but I'm guessing in a few months these will not work! And I don't want to be showing off my mid-drift "Vicky pollard" style!! Think that's the character from little Britian in the tracksuit lol - my boobs just keep growing and growing so none of my tops fit! Am off to mothercare today/tomorrow to buy a bed bra and think maybe it's best to just go for the maternity tops now - I'm guessing they stretch? as I don't want to waste money if I can - but also don't want to look like I work in hooters :)

EllieJayJay · 13/11/2015 06:03

Hit post by accident before finishing - any advise given we are height-twins :) and you have done this before gratefully recieved X

Loki17 · 13/11/2015 06:25

Thanks Ellizardo I'd completely forgotten about nct sales! Although I'm secretly hoping SIL might want rid of her I candy! Ellie, check out Jojo Maman Bebe (Google it) - clothes to get fat for! Great maternity tops that are also breastfeeding friendly.

Ellizardo · 13/11/2015 06:33

Elliejayjay - totally understand your reasoning and was just thinking this last night too. I also prefer natural fibres like cotton wherever possible otherwise I get all sweaty (nice). I bought tshirts and nice joggers from gap maternity

IComeUndone · 13/11/2015 06:33

Hi EllieJay, the vivid dreams and sudden insomnia were my first real symptoms this time. I'm usually asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow but it has been taking me a couple of hours to drop off to sleep for the past few days. With that and being woken a few times each night with either vivid dreams or needing the toilet and not being able to ge back to sleep I knew I'd get a bfp soon.
How many weeks are you, I'm hoping the insomnia goes before the sickness kicks in or god help dp Wink x

Ellizardo · 13/11/2015 06:35

Sent too soon! Gap are good, Asos maternity good. jMB as Loki says are good too and posher brands like Isabella Oliver etc. everyday stuff tho is good at h&m too. I lived in jeans, tshirts, mat leggings and joggers, so chic it hurt. Ha!

Ellizardo · 13/11/2015 06:39

Elliejj- as for pregsomnia, I used to take half a melatonin tablet, totally natural sleep aid I use for flying/jet lag..does wonders for that 'errrrr where am I and what am I doing?' Half state

Ellizardo · 13/11/2015 06:39

Oh and TK Maxx for big cheap jumpers and coats!

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 06:45

Morning all.. I've had a terrible night, was asleep for 10pm and up at 12-1 and then up again at 3. I feel like I've barely slept. My body is aching now. I just could not sleep Sad

Does anyone know if we can take something to help us relax? Given my previous health issues, as soon as I am not sleeping my restless legs get severe which make the sleep even worse and then I come down with infections after infections. I certainly don't want to stress my body out in pregnancy so need to nip this insomnia in the bud.

I don't know how I'll manage work today but least it is Friday.

Loki17 · 13/11/2015 06:51

a little later on....over the bump leggings! They are the most comfortable things ever and I Iived in these combined with floaty dress/tops, boots and a chunky necklace. It looked professional enough for work and was comfy.

Ellizardo · 13/11/2015 06:54

Melvali - I really do recommend melatonin if you can get your hands on some. It's natural so shouldn't affect your condition (but what does Dr Ellizardo know so please check!) but does wonders for calming.

Loki- ah the over the bump leggings! Legend!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 13/11/2015 07:15

I'm feeling really anxious. My boobs, which have been hurting since conception, seem to have stopped hurting. Combined with my not feeling as sick yesterday as I have been, I'm really worried that this is a bad sign.

7+0

LuckyinOctober · 13/11/2015 07:20

Melatonin - yep normally would use this too but have been trying to resist as my tabs are 3mg and the safe limit for pregnancy I understand to be 2.5mg - we usually order in from eBay so planning to check there to see if there's a smaller dose I can buy - not anticipating that half a 3mg tab would do anything to me. The only risk I'm aware of for melatonin is that baby could be born with a higher IQ which I have to say doesn't sound like a problem to me :-)

Loki - thanks for mat wear style tips plan to copy that idea with leggings and floaty dresses!

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 07:22

Thanks guys I'll look into this!

Lucky - try not to worry, hopefully it's more that your body is getting used to the high levels of hormones and it is beginning to ease off. Keep an eye and if you get bleeding too then phone docs X

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 07:36

Sorry that was for meandyouaregoingtofallout

Cookiesandcoffee · 13/11/2015 07:49

Terrible sleeping here too. Although last night it must have caught up with me and I went to bed at 8.30 and by 9 was asleep Grin
Sorry to hear that melvari . I don't know of any suggestions sorry. I would say ask a midwife but they usually just say no to everything in my experience!

youandme my symptoms come and go all the time. Some have stopped. Athough this new constant headache can bugger off !!

Good fashion tips ladies. I am so excited to buy some over the belly leggings (I wouldn't call it a bump yet, just podge) I LIVED in mine last pregnancies. I think Topshop and H&M were good. I'm definitely going to buy some Topshop maternity jeans when I get paid. Long baggy tops with a loose scarf over and no one will know :)

dollydaydream84 · 13/11/2015 08:01

Lucky I posted a similar post earlier on in the week but the sickness came back and it's not as bad again now. Very worrying but as everyone says also totally normal. I am 7+5 ??

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 08:01

Do you actually get over th bump leggings??

dollydaydream84 · 13/11/2015 08:02

Sorry Lucky that message was made for youandme got mixed up with poster names ??

Woodsy81 · 13/11/2015 09:55

you and me and dolly , I am 7+1 and my boobs are not hurting as much. I have also had nausea so infrequently and lasting a matter of minutes that I don't even know if I can say its because of the pregnancy to be honest. Maybe we are just used to the pain in our boobs now so they don't seem so sore.
I have my booking appointment on Sunday. I will be bombarding the poor midwife with all of my silly questions. I am sure she has heard them all a million times before. I was filling the first part of my pregnancy record book last night. Made everything feel so real answering all the health questions.
Also, thanks for all the maternity fashion tips. Might have to do some online browsing when I am finished work.

Jem01 · 13/11/2015 09:57

BelOfTheBall79 that's lovely you had your ET on your anniversary, how sweet! Our ET wasn't on a significant day but it just felt special as OH was there too unlike EC.

I like the baby centre app my pregnancy today.

Not much to update except I look about 3months already! I hope it's just bloating but will check out the maternity over the bump leggings cookies mentioned earlier. Thanks for the tip!:-)
