I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

jemima glad to hear you say that I am so tired all the time, and thought maybe a class might help I have no sickness here about from a faint wave when I get hungry (hoping this continues!) or when I smell BO... I went for a walk today for an hour and felt better for a short while then needed another nap maybe I am not moving enough - tomorrow will be a 15k step day (unless I cheat and get taxis which I might for some of it - taking it to 7.5) so we shall see

And I'm pleased for you on your scan :D (little jealous! Only because I'm dying to have mine!) your going to be the first of us to have one I think, I cannot wait to hear all the news on Monday xxx how very very exciting xxx

jemimahpuddleduck · 11/11/2015 16:38

My sickness comes and goes but last time it was constant and then magically stopped at 12 weeks! I think the best thing to do is to try but not push yourself with regards to exercise. I am also drinking tonnes of water this time which I didn't last time.

Can't wait for my scan, I have a feeling one of us had an early scan but can't remember who it was. What date did you say yours was Ellie?

Loki17 · 11/11/2015 16:45

Nicole you and I are due date buddies! I've got my midwife appointment on the same day too. I've had a bit of nausea and sickness yesterday and today which is reassuring. My boobs feel fuller too but not massively. I've eaten a little more today which I think is helping with the nausea. Good luck with the scan, Ellie and Jemima!

redstrawberries101 · 11/11/2015 17:23

Nicola my midwife appt is on the 8th :)

Loki17 · 11/11/2015 17:32

So I am going to a ball on Friday night. Any bright ideas as to how I can disguise the fact that I'm not drinking?

EllieJayJay · 11/11/2015 17:40

My scan is on the 24th jemima will be 7+4 then - eek gosh I'm so excited, midwife appointment 4th Dec when I will be exactly 9 weeks - I desperately want a scan at 11 weeks as it will be a week before Christmas I'm exactly 12 weeks on Christmas Day :) I also just read that at 7 weeks they can sometimes see a heartbeat!! Wow wow wow

I'm having meat aversions now! I had a small burger which I really wanted and sprout has not taken kindly to this (well not really sprout my stomach) all I now want is sweet things mixed with sour, I am a savoury girl through and through cannot stand sweet things - my DP and his entire family are ADICTED to sweets... I blame him Smile apparently if you love sweet things, sleep with a pillow in a vertical position Confused but randomly did last night and have sore boobs from very early (these things are just not quitting - none of my tshirts fit anymore ?? Without me looking obscene!!! and DP drooling (bad enough he leaves hair everywhere lol)

Anyway apparently these things mean you are having a girl... We shall see :)

EllieJayJay · 11/11/2015 17:42

loki tonic water :) or non alcoholic cocktails - appletizer in a wine glass

Used to do this all the time at work events where everyone else wants to get drunk - or can you drive I don't have a car at the moment and work in London so hard for me, but if I had a car that's what I would do for sure!

Loki17 · 11/11/2015 17:47

We've already booked our hotel so can't really use the driving excuse! I think I might drink non alcoholic cocktails if my nausea let's me!

Bluebell20 · 11/11/2015 17:59

Oh yeah, quite close Jemimah! Might see you at an antenatal class at some point later on then! (Don't know how wide a catchment they take from?!)

Loki, if they don't do decent non-alcoholic cocktails, I reckon a tonic water with ice and a slice will look the part!

My booking appointment is a week today. I've just been reading up on it and they say if you're squeamish you should bring someone along. I am absolutely terrible with blood and needles (have been known to pass out just talking about such things on several occasions), so am considering dragging DH with me in case I am too wobbly to drive home afterwards! Not sure how impressed he'll be with that, though...!

I can't remember having a blood test at my booking appointment with dd. Perhaps I've blocked it out?! We discussed our family history so it was useful have dh for that. I wasn't planning on taking him this time as I need him to look after dd. Let us know how it goes!

EllieJayJay · 11/11/2015 18:33

lokki cocktails I had the other day tasted like the real thing to me, not having had a sniff of booze for a while and I almost felt drunk on non-alcoholic beer :)

bluebell taking DP with me he wants to come and I'm not good with needles either despite having them lots and lots in the past I still occasionally faint (such a wimp) so drag him along for sure!

indians yup for sure I want to know everything, think that's why I'm going for an early scan as I feel the need to know everything - I'd likely have a scan weekly if I could :) just because I'd like to see the little Changes happening find it amazing!

Loki17 · 11/11/2015 18:34

I don't think we will. I was desperate to know with dd but dh didn't want to know so we didn't find out. DH announced 'it's a girl!' in the delivery room which was pretty special. I don't mind either way but I think dd wants a little sister! DH is desperate for a boy so we will see!

I think it is bloating. I am so bloated today!

Hamsolo · 11/11/2015 19:32

I was really bloated the first week, oddly, but have gone back to normal now. I think my bra size has gone up thoughBlush

I found out gender last time, and would again. I know people say it's a nice surprise to wait till the end but these days it's more of an effort to not find out! I have a dd and would quite like another girl as they'd be close in age and good friends. I suspect dh would like a boy for one of each. We're not really bothered either way though!

Peyia · 11/11/2015 19:36

Hey everyone!

Congrats on all your pregnancies. It's so exciting to be saying to you all my bubs in due around 18th July.

Looking forward to sharing and seeing early scan pics?

Is there anywhere here living in south east london??

SoniaShoe · 11/11/2015 19:37

jade I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. I hope you're being looked after.

indians yes I look about 4 months already. But I never really lost all my tummy from my csection and I can't stop eating bread which makes me very bloated so I usually avoid it it. I'm letting myself eat it as its the only thing that stops the hunger sometimes.

Nothing else much to report apart from feeling so so tired all the time. That might be a combo of my age, having a 3 yo plus a demanding full Tim job though! 9.00 has become my normal bedtime.

Somebody mentioned eating smoked salmon bagels (sorry just caught up on the last 2 days and on my phone so can't look back to see who). The advice might have changed but I thought smoked salmon was one of the foods advised to avoid? Same as shellfish??

CultureSucksDownWords · 11/11/2015 20:04

Has anyone else had any brown spotting/discharge? (Sorry for the tmi) I've had some yesterday and today which is making me a bit tense. I had one tiny amount of spotting in my first pregnancy, but this is going on longer. It's so hard not to worry about it all.

Missdjcabz · 11/11/2015 20:07

Hey all hope you don't mind me joining, i only got my BFP today (although we suspected for a little while)!
Im from pembrokeshire and iv worked out my due on July 15th. We have been TTC for 15months and it doesn't feel real!
Im super scared about making a gp appointment or anything incase they say the test was wrong or something. Is this normal or just me being crazy?

another thing that puts me off going to the gp is its a small community so most staff there know me and my family personally so I'm not keen on them knowing before my own mum. Would it be weird to bypass the doctor and contact the midwife directly?

Thanks in advance all and congratulations to all Grin
Xx

SoniaShoe · 11/11/2015 20:14

I've just checked it out and I'm wrong about the smoked salmon its perfectly safe. As you were..

culture I haven't experienced that but its common isn't it? And brown blood is old blood? Can you call docs tomorrow?

missdj congratulations! Shouldn't those in surgery keep it confidential surely. So only the doc would need to know. And the receptionist. But they should be careful with all patients and their reasons for attending? I understand your concerns though.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 11/11/2015 20:26

Ellie eek exciting about your scan. I will be 12 weeks on Christmas Eve so was hoping they may fit my scan in on Christmas week if not I think we will be paying for a private one too. It's £60 here.

Lily I'm having a hungry day too. I had bran flakes for lunch then for dinner I've attached a picture of what DH cooked. Rice, red pepper, prawns, chorizo, veg and a pork chop. Shouldn't work but it really did.

Welcome dcourtney

Indians we won't be finding out the sex. This will be our last child as DH is getting the snip afterwards. We have 3 boys already so I'm pretty sure it will be another boy but we will be leaving it as a surprise. **

Loki good luck with not drinking. I think soda water and lime sounds good.

I think it's not unusual Sonia, and I'm trying not to panic. Just taking it a day at a time.

Loki17 · 11/11/2015 21:01

Culture, if you are worried call nhs direct and describe it to a medically trained professional. They will most likely tell you to go and have bloods done which will give you a bit of peace of mind. Similar thing happened to my friend and blood work confirmed that everything was fine and hgc levels were high.
