I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

Hi everyone, just found this thread and thought I would join you! I am due July 6th with my first!

Another teacher Smile last week was really hard and my symptoms have ramped up this weekend, not sure how I'm going to make it through the next 6 weeks!

Our first appointment is on 23rd November, and im hoping that we will get 12w scan before Xmas. We've told our mums already, but I'm struggling keeping it to myself!!

Loki17 · 08/11/2015 20:53

Another teacher here! I've got such a sore throat and can't take anything Sad dd has a sore throat so obviously caught a bug. Hoping dd bounces back because I hate it when she's poorly.

Yep. The pregnacare has a very undesirable effect earlier!

Zion101 · 08/11/2015 21:21

Hi, can I join in???

Had a big surprise on Wed when I discovered I was expecting my first child on 8th July. I am still in shock...any idea when it will sink in? Feels so surreal ATM!!

Hello all - for those suffering with coughs I've been using Wedderspoon manuka honey and lemon lozenges and found them a real help.

LuckyinOctober · 08/11/2015 22:10

Hi ladies just wanted to say thanks for the reassurance - both about the lines on tests and through describing your symptoms as I have to say I relate very much to what you're all saying. I think for me the thought of additional testing adds to rather than alleviates anxiety so I'm going to wait until I'm 6 weeks before doing any more testing and even then will only do a CBD if I still have any doubts then. Ladies with maternity bras, do they help with the sore sticky out nipple problem as well as the swollen tender boobs? If so tempted to invest. I've bought and started taking seven seas pregnancy vitamins, my husband stocked up on them in ASDA now being much more convinced this pregnancy is looking good. I was encouraged that they have ginger in them as I have nausea in the background most of the time just now and also bought a variety of ginger snacks and drinks (better just watch who sees me eating those as might be a bit of a give-away) No idea how I'm going to manage my work tomorrow (long hours at professional job with long commute and still jet lagged) but just going to take one day at a time.

Vikkijayne2507 · 08/11/2015 22:36

I wouldn't worry about the non pregnancy folic acid as long as you have it at recommended amount.

Saturday morning my boobs (particularly left one -the one I used primarily for breast feeding for Ds until 14 m) went into overdrive. It literally felt like they were full of milk so so hard and swollen. It passed after a few hours so I'm guessing I has a surge of hormones.

I'm also craving a lot of cheese, always liked it but really snacking on it, meals I'm not eating loads at meal times and slightly nauseous in mornings due to hunger I think.

Going to have private scan earlier in December as 12 weeks is after Xmas on our insurance it's very cheap so it's ok.

4+6 ( 5 in a few hours)

EllieJayJay · 08/11/2015 22:49

Welcome new ladies! And congratulations really getting quite a big group of ladies here which is fabulous xx

I have just weighed myself :( and these massive boobs have caused quite a gain... sigh

Can't remember the lady who said about Vitamin A but have read this is one to avoid, it's not in the pregnacare supplement for that reason... Calcium is also not in that one and as I shouldn't really eat dairy (am not good with lactose) I'm taking a supplement for the calcium as I have read you need quite a bit of that.

night night everyone and wishing you happy Monday's X

5+2 and constantly exhausted :)

redstrawberries101 · 08/11/2015 22:55

Evening everyone!!

I am melvali, and am joining from the TTC number 1 and November bus thread. Loki, I remember you from there.

So I got very faint BFP on a boots test this morning with my first pee , and then tested in the afternoon with a clear blue digital and got a 1-2 weeks pregnant sign. According to ovia app I am due around 17 July!

I can't believe it as this was our first month TTC and when we decided to go for it, and I looked at the calendar it was, to my dismay, almost the end of my fertile window. Just shows that it will happen when it's meant to!

Symptoms include:
Nausea
Loss of appetite
Really dark eye bags (they usually are but seem to have got worse)
Glowing skin but at times very pale skin (my friend commented on this)
Severe on and off cramping ( I worry AF is just going to turn up!)

Melvali, 26 years old just last week, baby number 1 and from Edinburgh

Look forward to getting to know you all!!

redstrawberries101 · 08/11/2015 23:00

Sorry I'm not familiar with some of the terminology, what do people mean when they put 5+2 at the end of their message for example?

I also noticed on the clear blue digital pamphlet that although it says 1-2 weeks, the doctor will date this as 3-4 weeks. Does everyone go by the doctors date?

baby3forme · 08/11/2015 23:54

Hi ladies I'm due 1st July with baby #3 ..... First cycle trying can't wait x

CultureSucksDownWords · 08/11/2015 23:55

Hi everyone.

Melvali, the numbers (eg 6 + 0 for me today) is how far along you are, so 6 weeks and 0 days for me.

All the official dates will be from the first day of your last period, hence the disparity between what a CBD says and what the official date will be. To avoid confusion, I'd use the official dates as that's what will be on your notes and so on. Once you've had your 12 week ish dating scan, they may adjust your due date and so change how far along you're estimated to be.

Ah thank you!

I forgot to mention my restless legs have totally kicked in, I suffered from this after major surgery a few years ago and seems to have flared up now again. My thighs are also 'tight'.

The fact that I'm not sleeping much at the moment is contributing to this. I'm partly excited but partly unable to relax too and nod off early. And up at the crack of dawn!

Pregasaurusrex · 09/11/2015 07:12

I woke up in the night with pains as well. Just about to leave for work, I really just want to stay tucked up in bed!

redstrawberries101 · 09/11/2015 07:36

Ditto!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 09/11/2015 07:43

I slept well last night but I'm still tired. Feeling a bit sick this morning but hopefully it will pass soon.

Morning all.

Indians I'm on the lemon curd too - not had it for years!

BelOfTheBall79 · 09/11/2015 08:29

Good shout on the lemon curd ladies...that's breakfast sorted!

Cookies you asked about my scan - I have one booked for next Friday with the IVF unit (7 weeks) so that's when I'll find out if it's one or two...

Bluebell20 · 09/11/2015 08:47

Hello and congratulations to everyone new - so many I can barely keep up!

Loki, your trapped wind story made me chuckle! Ladies with trapped wind, I have a solution - not very glamorous but works like a charm for me - get on all fours and stick your bum in the air. I find that after a couple of minutes the trapped bubbles just 'float' out! Sometimes if it's really bad I'll kneel on the bed and lean my elbows down on the floor to get my bum up further, if you can visualise that!

DH and I were discussing our spare room plans last night, and it dawned on us that it's now going to need to be a nursery-come-guest-room rather than just a guest room! Our plan is to put a twin bed in there which can fold out into a double if necessary, and then if people come to stay we can bring the little one in with us. (Obviously littlun would be in with us to begin with anyway.)

I felt a bit sicky yesterday again - only a tad, but enough to notice. Had a panic after I went to bed, imagining what would happen if I woke up and needed to vom, and how long a journey that would be (our only bathroom is downstairs - eek!). DH was very sweet and immediately jumped up out of bed and fetched me a big pan, which I am now keeping by the side of the bed 'just in case'. Grim, but might be necessary!

Morning all and welcome to all the newbies! It's great seeing so many of us on here :-)

A quick question for you all. Have any of you had the flu jab or plan on taking it and is it safe?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 09/11/2015 09:59

Jem I had the flu jab during my last pregnancy and I plan too again this time. Getting flu when pregnant would be horrendous as you can't take anything.

Joining in as I think I'm about 6 weeks but I don't keep track of dates particularly so I'm not sure! This will be my first, and I'm not a very maternal person so I don't really know what to think, I'm completely clueless about babies and pregnancy. My husband and I weren't trying exactly but we weren't not trying either, so it was a bit of a shock so soon on in our 3 month marriage!

Will read this thread with interest as I am out of my depth. Has anyone else felt really pregnant one day and not the next? I found I get five symptoms one day and none the next. I'm trying not to think ahead too much as I know how some early pregnancies don't necessarily work out. Does anyone else feel like this?
