I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

Thanks Beautician starting sniffling this morning so heading to my pharmacy right now!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 09/11/2015 10:16

Jem I had a flu jab on Thursday. I believe it's actively advised for pregnant women as flu can be quite problematic in pregnancy.

Bluebell20 · 09/11/2015 10:22

Hi Jade,

I feel very similar! Some days I feel absolutely normal, and can't believe that I'm really pregnant! Other days I wake up and I feel different, like I can feel that I'm pregnant. It is rather odd. I don't think I'm going to properly believe it until the 12 week scan.

Ours was a bit of a shock, too - I must have conceived just a few days after we decided to start trying for a baby! We are both naturally quite pessimistic, so had assumed it would take absolutely ages. I'm not counting my chickens, obviously, as it's still early days, but it does feel a tiny bit more real now than it did two weeks ago...

Jem01 · 09/11/2015 10:25

Flu jab done! (It really was that quick!) a lovely nurse did it at the Boots right next door to my office.

photographerlady · 09/11/2015 10:55

Jem01 That's handy!

JadeT2 and baby3forme welcome!

Still on the morning sickness train but packed it all in yesterday and had a eggnog latte, starbucks mince pie (amazing) and pastries. Which wouldn't be bad if I wasn't coeliac but was sick of living on bites of scrambled eggs all week and just went for the worse comfort foods possible. I am back on the celery and scrambled egg today full of a tummy ache. Its pretty much the same thing I had last pregnancy just loads of nausea but not sick.

Woodsy81 · 09/11/2015 11:49

Morning ladies
I hope you are all well. Welcome to all the newbies. Nice to see so many of us on the thread.
Feeling so emotional today. Just do not want to be around anyone. Want to take myself off into town and just spend day on my own - not be stuck in the office. Everyone just seems to be getting on my nerves. Hormones are wonderful things!
Had a lovely weekend, as my parents came to visit for the first time since we found out. Got to have a proper chat with my Mum about everything which was great.
A close friend has kind of stressed me out a bit though. She has said that I shouldn't handle my cat AT ALL! Due to the risk of toxoplasmosis. She has also said that I am at double the risk because we live next to a field where there are sheep in the lambing season and the cat might wander in there and bring home the disease in his fur. As far as I am aware as long as I don't clean out the litter tray then I should be fine. I can't help but think that she is just being over dramatic. I will ask midwife at the weekend but has anyone else had any advice on this?
She has just put me off wanting to tell more people as some opinions are just not that helpful. (confused)

Is anyone else irrationally terrified about something bad happening? I can't even write the word. I am so scared. My boobs feel less achy and haven't grown. I'm a bit achy and crampy and my nausea wasn't as bad yesterday . I'm really struggling today. Someone talk some sense into me.

Woodsy81 · 09/11/2015 12:01

Hi Loki
I feel the same almost every day so you are not alone. I barely have any symptoms and I am struggling to even feel pregnant. I know I shouldn't complain about lack of symptoms but it doesn't help with any irrational thoughts. I guess my advice is just to think as positively as you can and take each day as it comes. I personally can't wait for my 12 week scan as I don't think I will believe this is actually happening until I see bubs for myself. xx

jemimahpuddleduck · 09/11/2015 12:02

Hi everyone

I've been lurking since this thread appeared so thought I'd finally post this morning.
I'm currently due on 27 June but due to irregular periods it's more likely to be early July. I have a dating scan next Monday to confirm.

This will be dc2 was unplanned but a very happy surprise.

Feeling very nauseous but have only been sick twice.

Welcome newbies! Wow we are growing. loki it's completely normal.. I think everyone will feel a lot better and reassured after a scan. That's exciting bell do keep us posted! Lots of twins in DHs family but so far so lucky. I think it's the women in his family who have twins though.
woodsy I would appreciate your friends concern but not overly panic yourself. I love my cat and won't not be cuddling her- she is my fur baby. If I didn't clean her litter tray no one would (and with my sense of smell it's even more of an urgency!) so I've just been wearing gloves. I have the litter you just tie up the edges and it comes straight out. Does he/ she venture into these fields? I would bring it up at your midwife for your piece of mind.
jem I'm booked for my flu jab next week but I have it anyway due to asthma. It's advised in pregnancy to have one and you will get it for free.
indians hope you aren't too tired and don't have a too busy day.

Phones docs to book in with midwife but now procedure has changed and have to see a doctor first. Really awkward when I have no childfree time around work and extra appointments to fit in. They have elephant ears so I can't bring them Confused
I've stopped feeling sick, just even more tired than ever :(

Just checking in quickly to see how everyone is, and welcome to the new joiners its great to hear your stories.

There are lots of us, and also so many teachers! Is there going to be a national teacher shortage for the school year 2016-17 :/

I woke up this morning with less achy boobs and that really worried me. I did a cheapy test and a strong line came up, and then I started feeling nauseous so I think still all good. It is a constant worry though. Roll on those scans!

Eek the midwife just called and I have my booking appointment on 23rd November. I'll be just over 7 weeks. I can't wait it always feels real when you get that appointment through.

Hello!

Thanks for the welcomes! I am feeling strange today - a really low dragging feeling in my lower tummy, I feel like I've been kicked in the stomach and am really winded.

I got all my NHS bumpf through the post today, lots of booklets and bits of paper including details of my booking in appt (30/11 and scan (31/12). Starting to feel real!

I am worrying a lot about my weight today, ideally I'd have lost some before becoming pregnant, but no - I failed to do so. So I'm very overweight. I had to fight for my previous home births and I wasn't quite so heavy then! I want another home birth so am preparing myself mentally for the battle ahead!!

I think this is the latest list (apologies if there's a later one - feel free to edit...)

Lily I feel the same I'm overweight. I'm really worried about weight gain and more so losing it afterwards. I weighed two stone less than I do now when I got pregnant with ds3 and I haven't managed to lose it 2 and a half years later. I'm trying not to eat too much.

Indians , yeah my cat is pretty obsessed with me too and takes little to do with DH so I would really be the only attention he gets. cookies, not too sure where he goes at night. He is out all night so could be anywhere really. Will check with midwife. I know I am probably worried about nothing.

Hamsolo · 09/11/2015 15:45

Nice to see lots of new people. It's a busy month!

Like lots of you nausea has really kicked in for me now. I haven't been sick yet, but feel awful all day long. I was like this last time around, I think I'd forgotten how sick I got! I don't think it was this early last time, but maybe one just blanked that too ??

6w today!

Hamsolo · 09/11/2015 15:46

Have added myself to the list Smile

I'm another one really suffering from morning sickness. I can almost set the clock by mine! First round at about 8am, then 4 in the afternoon. Envy Envy Envy It's getting stronger everyday too, don't know how I'm going to manage work much longer without telling someone...

Took myself to the doctors today, as I've been having some pains just on one side, GP was very lovely, and said it is probably just normal womb stretching, and that my bowel was a little tender. He also said if it gets worse they will do an early scan.
I still feel quite anxious though!

SoniaShoe · 09/11/2015 17:14

Hi kate
I got those pains for a couple of weeks. Its probably just your womb stretching and something else on your sides (cant remember what) but its quite normal for around 5 weeks. I know its hard not to worry though. I googled them every day. They've stopped in the last few days. I think as long as they are on and off (not constant) and no bleeding with it its probably stretching.

Loki17 · 09/11/2015 17:14

Thanks for all of the messages. I felt so nauseous for the first couple of days and now I feel ok. My boobs ached and stung before my bfp and now are just a bit achy. It is making me irrational! I also keep testing with the cheapie tests and they aren't getting darker. I got BFN on the cheapies at 14dpo, but clear bfp on cbd and frer. Then the cheapies got darker at 16 dpo (but not as dark as the control line) then yesterday and today they were the same as 16 dpo and I thought they'd get darker. They go out of date at the end of the month so maybe it's that? I'm a crazy person aren't I? The midwife called today for my booking appointment. It's on the 7th of December so at least I've got something to aim for! I also told the cover manager at work. I feel better now that someone at work knows in case I need to ring in sick for any reason or I faint or something. Ok, back to squeezing my boobs and worrying!

photographerlady · 09/11/2015 17:55

Sorry to the morning sickness crew. I left work at midday and slept til 5pm. DD is 2 and discovered me sleeping on the sofa exciting day for her seeing me home early. I however am ready for bed.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 09/11/2015 18:31

I'm already fed up with feeling sick and there could be weeks to go of it yet. It seems to go away for a while made afternoon but comes back in the evening!
