I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

dianeyoung · 07/11/2015 23:32

Yes Loki, both things worse at night for me too!

Loki17 · 08/11/2015 07:58

Thanks Ellie! I'll pop to the chemist!

I never had nausea this bad with my first pregnancy. I'm only 4+2 so it's really early too. Last time, I wished I had symptoms because I thought that would make me feel more reassured that every thing was ok. It doesn't though, I'm still worrying just as much!

Lollipop86 · 08/11/2015 08:13

Loki - I'm really glad you mentioned that. Aside from boobs being a little sore and being more tired than usualI've not had any extra symptoms and have been wishing for nausea as silly as it sounds. Just want time to fly by until scan #1 to know all's Ok! Xxxx

SoniaShoe · 08/11/2015 08:37

Hi all and welcome to dianeyoung, nikitasol, lucia and anyone else I've missed (sorry if I have). Congratulations to you all, it's an exciting time!

I'm in the maternity bras now too one size bigger so far. And it won't be long before I get some other maternity clothes. My symptoms have been the same just a bit of nausea and sore bobs but not much else. And I find I get tummy pains if I overdo it but they're fine if I sit down for a few minutes.

My DP has been a lot more supportive this time, looking back last time I don't think either of us understood what my body was about to go through. It's the emotional support you need that they often find it hard to understand I think. Especially if you're normally quite emotionally strong and independent, sometimes with a pregnancy you can start to want your partner around at times to give you emotional support and if they don't do that it can cause resentment or arguments. I think I'm a bit more aware of that this time and hopefully he is.

It's so weird I'm not missing the booze at all. We had friends round last and lots of lovely wine was drunk and it didn't bother me at all.

6+1

Loki17 · 08/11/2015 08:40

I feel the same! We are going to have an early reassurance scan in my 10th week so that we can tell dd and then our families before people start to guess. Near me there is a clinic that does them for £40 which isn't too bad and will be worth it to see our bubs just before Christmas. Last time I was scared I didn't have symptoms, this time I'm scared of losing them! The sore boobs do settle down around week 7/8 if I remember correctly. Then I literally had nothing! With dd I started to get shooting pains in my stomach that didn't ease overnight. I was convinced it was ectopic so went to the epu who scanned me and found what the sonographer described as 'the biggest pocket of trapped bowel gas I have ever seen'! I was so embarrassed. My bowel was pushing on my ovary causing the pain. It was lovely to see my little prawn and the tiny heartbeat flickering away though.

Ellizardo · 08/11/2015 09:04

Loki that's hilarious and the first of many 'look back and laugh' moments that at the time are excruciating.

Diane welcome to the tentative older mother gang too! I've found keeping active as much as possible really helps - so Indians I would def continue running for as long as you can, or at least good long walks...you'll need the stamina later!
For me it was my back and knees that really seem to take the strain now DC1 is 7 months and mega heavy.
Various places do amazing preg massages in 2nd/3rd trimesters too.

EllieJayJay · 08/11/2015 09:27

Loki that is hilarious! I woke up in a mad panic last night with a pain in my side, and to ease your embarrassment, mine was a similar issue which has now passed Smile but God I woke up petrified! Have now added prunes to my shopping list ;)

Good advise/makes sense to me Sonia - I'm normally very good at keeping my emotions in check but can't see a baby without crying at the thought of my sprout in July :) oh god am off again!

Cookiesandcoffee · 08/11/2015 09:38

Welcome to diane , nikitasoul, and lucia
loki that is such a funny story! And something I can totally imagine happening to me! I had horrendous pains last night and was debating what to do when I umm suddenly had a -release- sorry tmi - and realised what the pain must be. It's always a symptom in pregnancy for me! I understand about the retesting, you want some reassurance and that things are progressing in there. I think a lot of it comes down to concentration of wee? If there's an answer on a CBD then I would never question a positive!
And loki my symptoms are definitely worse st night - especially boobs! I know it's water retention but I looked 6 months gone last night! Shock I already take an oil supplement so I'm just carrying on taking them along side the vitamins. Don't want to waste them! In fact the vitamins I already take have 400ug of folic acid in them.. I think this is the same as what's in folic acid supplements so I've just carried on and not bought pregnancy ones.. Can anyone tell me if in wrong and being silly? They're good quality (and quite expensive) so I don't want to waste them.
lucia hope you sre ok on your own. Make sure you keep in touch as being able to talk to us will make you feel less lonely. I know it does me. My husband works 7 days a week and long hours too. Following the mc you must be even more worried. Definitely run a nice bath and get stuck into a good book with a nice hot chocolate or something. Sending hugs!

photographer sounds like you are having a royally shit time of it- really hope you feel better soon and gets lots of TLC. I definitely forgot about the level of exhaustion!
ellie I've got that app it's a good one one of my many pregnancy apps Blush

Lucia82 · 08/11/2015 10:05

Loki that is a very funny story :) I have a bad tummy, and used to be quite prudish about discussing bodily functions etc, but now it's almost the opposite after having a number of medical professionals regularly sticking cameras up and asking questions. The human body is a crazy thing!
Thank you for the welcomes, and also the kind words. I'm very much a glass half full, 'things to be glad about' person. A few friends have had much worse experiences recently, so I feel very fortunate to have become pregnant, without a long wait, and the statistics are positive for this time. At the end of the day, it's out of our hands Smile
Hope you all have a nice day and not too much nausea... X

Loki I think it was you asking about omega3 yesterday? Just checked the back of my packet and the pregnacare plus Omega capsule contains

600mg fish oil
DHA 300mg
EPA 60mg

Hope that helps X

EllieJayJay · 08/11/2015 10:42

Oh and waves to everyone, newbies and oldies ;) starting to feel a bit tired again so forgot to add my hellos :)

5+2 (feeling like a whale today)

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/11/2015 13:05

Hi to all the new joiners. Wow I can't keep up loads of talk since yesterday.

Well last night was a success I told our best friends our news as it was too hard to cover they kept trying to give me wine. The rest of the party were none the wiser though. It was nice to tell someone.

My friend is a baby photographer. She had a good idea for our announcement Christmas cards. A picture of ds3 holding a chalk board with I'm going to be a big brother July 2016. I like that idea.

I will try to catch up. I'm so exhausted at the moment. I spend all day yawning.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 08/11/2015 13:14

Is anyone else much thirstier than usual? I don't think I drink enough most of the time tbh but I'm so much thirstier now! I'm a bit worried because of my weight and family history of diabetes, so I will mention it at booking in, but wondered if anyone else was having the same issue?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/11/2015 13:16

Ellie I need to measure my boobs. They are spilling over my bra and just feel so heavy. A maternity bra although early would probably be bliss right now.

Foobio I have constipation too. I've always had it in pregnancy but never early on I'm usually ahem looser at the beginning it's awful. I have found eating all bran has helped.

Lucky I'm pretty sure if you do a search on mn there are many ladies that only ever get a very faint BFP. This time I got a good line from 11dpo and it was even darker when I tested again the other day. However, sorry to repeat myself but with my first 3 I only got a line about 4 days after a missed Af and certainly didn't show early on a cb digital with the first 3.

Loki17 · 08/11/2015 13:22

Increased thirst was first symptom. Difficult to take a hpt when you can't stop drinking water and your pee is clear! If you are worried about you weight just remember that you only need an extra 200 calories in the third trimester. The rest of the time you should just eat a balanced diet, don't cut calories but don't over eat either.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 08/11/2015 14:20

Not worried about overeating at the moment as I've got virtually no appetite! I'm keeping meals down OK, but absolutely no desire to snack at all.

BelOfTheBall79 · 08/11/2015 15:38

Hi everyone

Hope I can join too! I'm due on 8th July and this will be my first child. I conceived after IVF so still can't really believe it...

I've been feeling pretty nauseous for a while now although today I don't feel so bad (which actually makes me feel nervous as I thought it would get worse not better).

Oh and I had two embryos transferred so it's possible I might have twins!

EllieJayJay · 08/11/2015 15:39

Beautician - do it!!! I'm a day behind you and OMG am I glad to have these bras controlling these jumper puppies! I thought is it too early but my bra was actually giving me six boobs! I did not recognise my own boobs in the mirror at M&S, part pride of the fact I think I would have no issues getting out of a speeding fine and my queuing days at the bar are over damm it... But these things are huge now I was a natural D cup which was fine, big but manageable now I feel like one false move and I'm going to loose my balance and dignity, am still shocked at how they could go to a bloody E cup already! Anyway I digress (I had to moan) M&S maternity bra has done wonders! Back doesn't hurt as much and wore it to bed for a bit to keep them in place (am terrified I'm going to suffocate) on positive note I'm going to use these boobs to my advantage tomorrow in birthday dress as very determined to wear the sexy one I purchased not so long ago, although I think I may not get much conversation out of DP ;)

With thirst, I have a condition that means I have to drink about 3 litres a day anyway to keep my blood volume up and me up on my feet - I'm on about 4.5 now but still constantly thirsty, constantly peeing (I used to have a bladder of an Ox) but now I'm going about every twenty minutes!

That said, I am actually quite enjoying being pregnant - I have felt for so long something was missing in my life. I had always been career focused and for about a year I've been "missing" something and this was it, despite feeling like rubbish something just feels incredible (remind me of this when my boobs are a ZZ cup size and I can't leave the house without the use of shopping a trolley) to help with the down times I have indulged myself with MamaMio products, ladies with boob issues... If you do one thing but Boob Tube! It actually cools them, and helps ease the discomfort :D just had a bath and used the entire range and feel like I'm glowing :)

Hope everyone who is feeling poorly feels better soon xx and love hearing other stories it is literally keeping my sanity levels on an even keel xx

5+2 (had a three hour nap, a bath and now a tad less grumpy)

EllieJayJay · 08/11/2015 15:41

Hello everyone,

I'm lilydaisyrose, aged 35, live in SE Scotland and am pregnant with DC3. I am due on 10th July 2016 so exactly 5+0 just now. I have an 8 year old girl and a 6 year old boy already.

I had some strong sympoms last weekend - mainly very weepy and emotional and sore, tender boobs. I got my BFP with a very very faint line around 2.30pm on Monday 2/11/15 then had some stronger but still quite pale lines with FMU on 3/11/15 & 4/11/15. I did another test this morning with middle of the night/very early morning wee and got a stonking dark pink line at 5+0. I've got some really strong symptoms and I've been keeping a note of when I first noticed them:-

Very weepy & emotional 29/10/15 3+4
Tender boobs 1/11/15 4+0
Insomnia from 3/11/15 and ongoing
Empty growling hungry feeling 5/11/15 4+4
Cervix twinges 5/11/15 4+4
Hot flushes and dizzy 5/11/15 4+4
Enormous boobs 6/11/15 4+5
Retching at smells 6/11/15 4+5
Carb cravings 6/11/15 4+5
Stretchy, crampy lower tummy 7/11/15 4+6
Enormous tender boobs 7/11/15 4+6
Sticky out big nipples 7/11/15 4+6

It feels like a very long time - 7 years! - since I was last in early stages of pregnancy!

I've told DH who was really pleased, this baby was a bit of a accidental-on-purpose-from-us-both 'forgetting' the contraception - we both wanted more kids, it was just never a good time. He's been so busy all weekend clearing out stuff and generally starting to get organised, which is very unlike him, and I'm so pleased. I feel a bit anxious that something might go wrong as I feel so much older and fatter than the last time I was pregnant, so am happy he's excited.

I can't remember who mentioned about still taking their old vitamins, but I'd double check this - there are vitamins you can't have in pregnancy I think - maybe vitamin A from memory? I've maybe misunderstood though, I just don't want you to take something you shouldn't be.

Anyway very happy, if a bit apprehensive, to be here with you all! If I can find he latest list, I'll add my details and repost.

Evening all - teacher here as well! Proper nausea has started this weekend so slightly dreading work next week. But I'm hoping being busy will distract me, its far too tempting to simply lie on the sofa at the weekend.
