trinpy & indom so sorry you are feeling poorly. Rest up and don't feel guilty at all! Being 100% is much more important than anything else.

Thanks for whooping cough reminder, this had completely slipped off my radar!

crispy interesting to hear you are changing hospitals. I'm about to do the same- if I can ever get hold of my midwife! Does midwife change if you change hospital? Or is it only for further hospital appointments that location changes?

Re in travelling in London, you can get baby on board badges amd I've been finding on the tube every morning that as soon as people clock this they tend to offer up seats.

Love the trousers!

missi glad all is quiet at the mo. That is so frustrating. Can you get books borrowed from library on your behalf failing the kindle? Or Ipod for music?

neh205 · 17/11/2015 20:02

I may have gone shopping again too ...

Neh- I love it!
To everyone feeling un well hope your better soon.
How much is everyone weeing at the moment ? I've been four times since 5pm and get up at least twice in the night! Nightmare. Drives me mad.
In pain on my sides tonight as well and leg and had terrible pain in my pubic area walking from shop to home earlier. :( the joys.

Missi - that is really expensive! Glad baby is still safe though. Fingers crossed for as long as possible and the best possible outcome

Me624 · 17/11/2015 20:34

Ginger last night I went for a week before bed at 11 and I woke up needing another at 1.30am! Normally I only need one in the night so that was particularly annoying.

Mship those trousers are amazing!

BeautifulLiar · 17/11/2015 20:43

Neh is that from Primark? If it is I got the cat one!

I'm sick of having to wee in the night as I normally have an amazing pelvic floor! God knows how...

neh205 · 17/11/2015 20:46

beautiful yes it was a primark purchase :p

I'm also having to get up in the night a lot. Not helping with tiredness! But guess all good preparation for the future!

TriJo · 17/11/2015 21:49

neh The problem I've found lately is that my train is just so crowded in the morning (we're talking tall dudea using my bump as an arse massager crowded) that I can't even move to a point where someone could potentially give up a seat! It's a bit of a pain.

Failed my driving test again this morning and the wait times in London are so long that the first date I could get to go again is in January - at 31+2. Going to be steering g with my bump by then at the rate it's growing...

Gingerlady123 · 17/11/2015 21:59

Five times on the toilet in four hours now grr. Seeing gp tomorrow as bad pains in thigh/sides/back etc so might ask if they can test my urine for infection as well. So annoying though. Keep getting worried than an infection will pass to baby in the womb :(

Is anyone here 100 per cent on a name yet.
We are and its Gabriella Louise Bryant.

Tri- sorry your test didn't go well. I feel for anyone using crowded trains etc. I just can't stand up for long as I feel so sick/tired most days.

Me624 · 17/11/2015 22:40

TriJo if it makes you feel any better I took four attempts to pass my test! Thankfully it was ten years ago now ... I still don't drive in London though, I hate it, so fair play to you! Good luck for next time. Keep an eye out for cancellations.

BeautifulLiar · 18/11/2015 07:04

I love it neh!

Sorry to hear that TriJo. I failed twice but honestly as soon as you pass you forget all that. When I passed it was the day before my 18th birthday and I was absolutely ecstatic!

Ginger when I was pregnant with DD1 I had terrible sickness and also what felt like constant cystitis. It was absolute torture, yet the GP never found infections in my urine Confused that baby was the healthiest of all three though :)

IndomitabIe · 18/11/2015 07:04

Morning, can I whinge quickly? My ears hurt! My head hurts, and my throat really hurts! Boo.

Thanks, that helps!

TriJo your commute sounds awful (I commuted into London for a year once, it was horrible, I'd hate to do it pg). I took 3 attempts to pass my driving test, but I was in the sticks and a teenager, so much easier. I struggle to navigate in these provincial towns, let alone London. You'll manage it next time!

Ginger sympathy on the wee front. I get so cross being woken up to wee! And I know people say it'll prepare you for when the baby's here but it really doesn't! It's just a kick in the teeth when you could be sleeping! I deffo think you need to speak to the midwife about potential uti and pgp/spd by the sound of it.

BeautifulLiar · 18/11/2015 07:07

Feel for all you guys commuting in London! Honestly you're like superwomen! Although driving to nursery here involves 10 minutes of windy country roads dodging rabbits, pheasants, deer and squirrels...

Paperblank · 18/11/2015 08:10

It is still blowing a hoolie here this morning. Thankfully I've got a very short walk to work.

I'm so glad my coat still fits - just heard on the radio that it's gonna get chilly at the end of the week!

TheM those trousers are fab do you do them in adult sizes

Neh I love that outfit so cute

Ginger beautiful name - Gabriella is so pretty

missi hope you're keeping busy and getting lots of visitors

Everyone else - have a good day, wishing you stress free commutes, that the poorly gals are feeling better and that you don't get blown over!

Gingerlady123 · 18/11/2015 08:21

Morning everyone. Indom- sorry about the pains and sore throat. I have sore throat and slightl cough as well. Praying it's not the start of something.
So tired today. Stayed up till 11 when I normally sleep fairly early.
Booked in at doctors at 9:30am and new sofa coming between 12-3 today so no work today for me.

Gingerlady123 · 18/11/2015 08:26

Weighed me self this morning. I started pregnancy at 60.9 kilos and lost two kilos in the first trimester but am now 64.4 kilos. Is this normal I have no idea. I'm only 5 foot so extra weight looks terrible on me.
Speaking of only being 5 foot I better have a small ish baby I don't want a 8/9 pounder I can't see how I'll be able to birth that

BeautifulLiar · 18/11/2015 08:29

Ginger I'm 5 foot too. Started out at 7. 5 stone and now 8.5 stone :(

IndomitabIe · 18/11/2015 08:44

I started about the same weight, Ginger. I don't plan on weighing myself again!

You've been really unwell, you need any reserves to get you through labour and the newborn phase. It's not worth worrying about. If I recall correctly, we're about to enter the phase where we're too bloated to eat much anyway!

Trinpy · 18/11/2015 09:30

Ginger I was 52.2kg at booking in and I'm now 59.2kg so your weight gain sounds about right to me Smile. As you can tell from my weight I'm quite petite and managed to give birth to an 8lb 10oz baby without any problem so I'm sure you'll be able to manage if your baby is over 8lb. I think bigger babies are easier in a way because gravity helps! I hope you get some help from the doctor this morning with the pain you've been in.

I was supposed to go into work for a night shift tonight but I've decided I need to look after myself (and the baby) and take a day to rest and start eating again. Its only been 24hrs since I stopped being sick as well so technically I shouldn't be going in anyway - still feel a bit guilty for staying at home though!

TriJo · 18/11/2015 09:40

Similar gain here - I was 68kg starting out (hadn't gotten around to losing the honeymoon weight...) and am now 73.5kg at 22+3, I'm 5'5" and I'm feeling like a bit of a whale - the fact that I've definitely lost a little muscle mass is not helping! All of little man's measurements were around 50th percentile at the 20 week scan, which surprised me because DH is quite tall (genuinely over 6' and he's the shortest male of his generation in his family).

IndomitabIe · 18/11/2015 09:42

Trinpy from one sick-note to another, I agree, you need to rest properly or you'll make yourself sicker for longer.

hayleycookie · 18/11/2015 10:01

I'm not sure how much weigh I've gained so far. At my 16 week appt I think I'd put on half a stone Shock but I haven't been weighed since, and I'm now 23+6. I'm eating sensibly but not avoiding sweet cravings so hoping any weight is pure baby related and should drop off easily after birth... We'll see!

I wouldn't worry too much about sizes and babies. My SIL is teeny tiny (size zero) and gave birth to 2 beautiful healthy 8lb 15oz babies! No complications, and with the second she only used gas and air. I think a lot of it is in the preparation. Staying active, not sitting around too much, bouncing, prepping the hips and pelvis...I genuinely believe it all helps!

Missi Those prices are extortionate, especially for a hospital! I hope you manage to find some form of entertainment soon!

And sick notes - TAKE THE DAY OFF! Don't feel bad about it. Your family will always come before work, and there is no better reason to stay home than to nurse yourself and your growing human!

Me624 · 18/11/2015 12:24

I weighed about 10st9 pre pregnancy and I'm now 11st4 as of about a week ago - I don't weigh myself regularly. That doesn't seem so bad to me - 9lb so far at almost 25 weeks. I am hoping I won't put on more than about 1.5-2 stone in total but that might be optimistic!

Rosieblossom123 · 18/11/2015 12:27

Ginger same here I was 50.9 kg at 12 weeks now I'm 57kg, I'm only 5ft2 we'll see how I get on in the next 15 weeks and 4 days haha

TheMshipIsBack · 18/11/2015 12:53

Ginger I've put on about 4 or 5kg as well, from a much worse starting point (BMI just shy of 36 at booking in). Don't worry about it, as long as you're eating a relatively healthy mix of foods and not going totally overboard, you'll be fine. Don't weigh yourself post-partum for a couple of months. It takes a while for your body to settle into its new shape, and then once you stop nursing it will change again, mostly your boobs.

marmiteandcheeseplease · 18/11/2015 16:39

I weighed myself yesterday at 24 weeks and have put on a stone since bfp! Had a mini panic about it and googled it and apparently 14-16 pounds is normal for 24 weeks so made me feel better. I asked DP about whether he thought I'd put on weight other than my tummy (ie legs and arse) and he said no and that I've basically put it all on my tummy and boobs. Had forgotten about my boobs getting massive. Currently wearing 32G but its too tight think I should be wearing a 32GG! Was 32F before bfp so they've deffo grown a lot.

Talking to some colleagues today and one of them was surprised I wasn't going on leave till Feb. She said oh thats the thing with second pregnancies you pop earlier so you look 8 months pregnant and you're what, 6 months? I was like ummm no I'm 5 months. Blush really not liking the 'you're massive' comments!

Ridiculous day at work today teaching from 11-1, then had a presentation to do 1-2 then meeting 2-4.15! So no break all day, also my presentation was shit as I was tired. Oh well. All over now. Got pregnancy yoga this evening so time to chill out. Had a missed call from DDs nursery and text from DP to say she had a temp and was sent home from nursery, again. She woke up at 4.30 this morning, expect it was as she was feeling I'll. Lucky for me DP let me sleep in as he knew I needed sleep for my presentation today. I dodged a bullet there!
