Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 40th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 39th grads fred is HERE.

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Thanks disco that's what I'm hoping for. Although I've felt absolutely nothing so far, i keep hoping for backache or twinges but nope! Think this baby is waiting to take the easy way out next week- "why squeeze through that birth canal when someone is coming to cut me out on Monday"!!
lil I took dh along to first midwife app, it is pretty boring but he liked being part of it- makes it all feel more real.

lildottie · 04/11/2015 09:20

Looks like I'm joining you in the arae rain camp this morning jelly :(

honey yay for 24 weeks! And as for sinking in, yes and no. Sewing it on scan has made it more believable but I still don't feel pg. Maybe when I see midwife it will seem more real again. Then I can stress about when I'll get my 12wk scan appt. Do they take long to come thru? I'll be 10wka when I see her

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 04/11/2015 10:05

I dreamt we were allowed to take the baby out for a test drive at the 20 week scan which is tomorrow. It was a boy and he wee'd everywhere when I changed his nappy! I am hoping for a boy because we already have two girls, even though I am secretly scared I won't know what to do with a little boy. I am not very sportsy! Baby is super active today. I need to have a sleep but theres a dance party in my abdomen Grin

Don't worry lil you will feel really pregnant soon enough!

FeatheredTail · 04/11/2015 10:09

Just nice one on your scan! What did they put you at? Same due date?

Jelly my sympathies for your bum. My arse rain has finally gone after 4 weeks. Had a normal poo this morning. Praisin' Jesus!

Hurrah for viability Honey!

12 weeks today and symptoms are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better!

T-28 hours 'til scan time. I've got "the final countdown" in my head. Arghh. I want this week to be a hat trick of good scans. (there are only three of us right? Me, Lil and Just?)

FeatheredTail · 04/11/2015 10:11

Haha, Sky no one would know what to do with a boy in my family! My Mum is one of two girls, she had me and my sister (no boys), my sister had two girls and my - one! - boy cousin just had a girl! Baby willies are a mystery to my fam!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 04/11/2015 10:32

Scan really is tomorrow. There's 4 of us this week!

FeatheredTail · 04/11/2015 10:40

Whoops, didn't see that Sky. How exciting! What time is yours?

5hell · 04/11/2015 11:02

lilmy appointment was 10wks and by that stage i had no idea when my 12w scan was; she rang up and found out during the appointment, but no letter appeared until I rang the hospital appointments line to query/check.

good luck for upcoming scans feathered & sky Grin

crap nights sleep and super hungry this morning, but otherwise no interesting news from me I'm afraid

honeysucklejasmine · 04/11/2015 11:59

Lil I booked my 12 week scan when I went in for my booking appointment.

fruitlovingmonkey · 04/11/2015 12:04

Woohoo for 24 weeks Honey, that's a good milestone.
Sky that's an amazing dream. I'm loving the crazy dreams at the moment, they haven't been too disturbing. Good luck for your scans Sky and Feathered and congrats Justme.
Star for getting a seat on the train. Viroids who aren't showing yet, do you ask for a seat? Buses and trains are never full where I live but I'm wondering what the etiquette is for when I'm in London.

KateBeckett · 04/11/2015 12:19

lil I will send you the insomnia, constipation and morning sickness if you want them?!

5 weeks today! Morning sickness is now morning, afternoon and night sickness but I still haven't actually vommed...

Gx for your scans tomorrow feathered and sky ! Can't wait for mine but I reckon it will be late as I am 12 weeks on Dec 23rd!

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 04/11/2015 12:58

Lots of scans this week! We have our final scan tomorrow afternoon as well.

Good luck for everybody waiting for them!

lil - don't worry about not "feeling" pregnant. I think you only tend to hear about the people who feel like mothers the second their piss hits the stick, fall instantly in love the moment they see the first blob on a screen, and generally feel like they have this bond with the blob inside them from day 1.

Some people do get all that, but for others it takes way longer. I'd say it took me until pretty much the third trimester until I felt "properly" pregnant, and even then it's only the last couple of weeks I've felt any particular connection at all to the bump.

Things will happen as they happen, so try not to worry about feeling a certain way by a certain point. Sorry if that sounds really patronising - I felt pretty guilty/concerned about it all until friends told me they felt exactly the same during their pregnancies!

pretzelpieces · 04/11/2015 13:19

kate the vast majority of people who have done daisy birthing have both enjoyed the classes and found them helpful. I find them helpful just not enjoyable but I am definitely the exception! So I say go for it!

Thanks jelly, that is so exciting you got given a seat on the train! I must endeavour to look more pregnant...

lil you are fully entitled to complain about any and all symptoms. It doesn't mean you're not pleased as punch to be preggo! Growing a person isn't easy.

Congrats on 24 weeks honey, I also felt it was a big milestone.

feathered I'm glad you're feeling better, good luck for your scan!
sky good luck for scan tomorrow!
rdm hope something happens for you soon!

FeatheredTail · 04/11/2015 13:31

Thanks for the luck! 24.5 hours to go....

Well done on the train seat Jelly. Do you have a 'baby on board' badge? I ordered mine yesterday and really cannot wait to get it pinned onto my coat, even if it's so I don't shoved quite so violently on the tube. I reckon the commuters on my overground service will be more open to giving up a seat - after all, I see most of them most days....and it's not a big town! MOVE ON OVER, SUCKERS!

pretzelpieces · 04/11/2015 14:06

In non baby related news, it's a year today since my last (ever, I hope) suicide attempt. Obviously my mental health is much better now and things are so positive. Just shows you don't know what life will bring you. It has me reflecting on that today. Okay, I'll quit with the mushy, serious stuff now! Back to jizz and fanjos please!

OP posts:
FeatheredTail · 04/11/2015 14:10

Pretzel I had no idea that you'd been through such a time of it. What amazing progress you've made in a year - a miniprez on the way, moving with DP...and obviously joining the JSers on MN! Seriously, what a milestone. Sending lots of hugs your way.

TriJo · 04/11/2015 14:17

Fruit I asked for a seat if/when I really needed one - some people are just pure arseholes though and a lot of people who really should know better do things like pretend to be asleep when sitting in the priority seat. I'm 20+3 at the moment and showing but carrying relatively tightly - I pin the badge onto the shoulder strap of my bag and tend to get a seat about 70% of the time on the Northern line at peak time. I do think that some people think that you should only be wearing one if you're about to pop, but I probably needed a seat more at 8-12 weeks than I do now.

TriJo · 04/11/2015 14:18

Pretzel Flowers and sending lots of hugs your way.

honeysucklejasmine · 04/11/2015 15:00

Congratulations Pretzel, that's a fabulous milestone! How much life brings, and how much we get from it. Smile

So took a trip to triage to celebrate 24 weeks to get checked out for reduced movements. Baby being a delinquent AGAIN!

MollyBloomYes · 04/11/2015 15:08

Ahhh pretzel we're coming up to the anniversary of mine, been a couple of years now but I totally get the marvelling at how different things are. Mine was nearer Christmas but the build up and catalysts had definitely started by now. I always get a bit of a triumph over reclaiming Chrismtas from the bleak one it was, this year even more so with new baby! Star for you!

Hospital bag not yet packed but have done a shopping list on boots website. Keep looking at the price and wincing but remember feeling the need to stock up on nappies, maternity pads etc as there'll be weird opening hours over Christmas and don't want to be caught short!

Bit bummed over appointment yesterday. Have to go back at 36 weeks to make 'final decisiin' over elcs after 'thinking things over some more'. I bloody have been thinking things over, hence why I asked for one! They won't refuse one but just have to jump through their hoops a bit. Just very frustrating, no birth for me is ideal, there are so many restrictions on what I can and can't do, I'm convinced I'll end up with an emcs anyway! I get they need to promote vbac I just wish they'd listen and actually look properly at my individual circumstances. Grrrrr!

Lil this is my second baby and I'm still to join the dots between the wriggles I feel and the fact there's an actual human in there. Could never quite marry the two ideas of my son in front of me and the fact he had been inside me and looks like this one's the same! Hasn't affected bond at all, love the bones of that boy and am very excited for this one!

Sorry long one, gx for scanees this week and Flowers to all those feeling rubbish

jellypi3 · 04/11/2015 15:44

pret huge hugs for you, you're a fighter and have come out the other end and you now have a baby on the way! Amazing :)

feathered I do indeed have my BoB badge. I only just got it this week, before now I have felt that if I did have to stand it wouldn't be too bad but now with the tiredness, nausea returning in the mornings, and back pain all the time, if I didn't get a seat the commute in for me would be torture. Plus I find i'm hot all the time, and standing around sweaty commuters would probably make me pass out!!

molly hugs for you too! I must admit i've always been a bit naive about depression and mental health problems, but recently a friend of mine came out of a serious bout of depression and i realised just how bad it can get. So those of you who have come through the other side all deserve big gold Star Star I hope you get your c-section!!

tri i agree, the first few weeks were when i needed a seat the most, the fatigue was horrendous!

kate don't worry about not actually vomming, it'll happen soon enough Wink. I didn't vom until 7 weeks, but it happened to be on a train. After that it was most mornings (normally on the train or just having got off the train) until 18 weeks so I don't miss it in the slightest.

So i felt a massive pressure in my belly and a thud type feeling, was this baby turning do you think? It wasn't painful per se, just very uncomfortable!

pretzelpieces · 04/11/2015 15:58

Aw thanks everyone, you softie sausages you! Blush

molly StarStarFlowers for you, that's fantastic (that it has been a couple of years since). I knew I wouldn't be the only one. We're all mad here! Wink

tri I so felt like I struggled to stand as much if not more in the first tri! If only early pg was recognised as just as pg as any other stage. Most people feel worse, don't they?!

JustMeAndHim · 04/11/2015 16:02

Honey yay to viability!! You must be relieved.

Pret A massive well done to you, you've done so well and now with Mini Pret on the way. I hope things continue to get better for you.

Feathered I'm due the 17th May now so one day earlier than I had been. Not that I think the baby understood!

Lil I had my booking at 8 weeks but when I said I hadn't had the scan date she checked and there was a letter on the system which had supposedly been sent out. I would def raise it if you haven't had a date by then but it doesn't hurt to ring the hospital if it's bugging you!

honeysucklejasmine · 04/11/2015 17:25

My friend had her 20 week scan and is getting her much longed for sex (of baby, the sonographer and her didn't shag)! This is child #3 and last so she was pretty nervous. Very pleased for her and very jealous her baby posed so well and revealed it's genitals so easily. 'Snot fair!

CarrotPuff · 04/11/2015 18:36

Pretz and Molly StarStar for you two coming out the other side. Onwards and upwards!

Yay for viability honey and jelly for the seat! I get a seat all the time so don't wear the badge. It's ok to ask though if people don't notice. Most of them are too busy reading their papers.

lil it's different in every area - I booked my 12w scan at booking in, but with DS I got a letter through the post before the actual booking in. I lived in different place then.

Molly that's rubbish, I hope you get a definite answer at your 36w appt!
