First trimester worries and joys. Test taking, morning sickness, midwife appointments and scans. It's all happening.

Can't believe we filled up a thread already. (I'll get this deleted if someone's already created a second thread, but I didn't see one!

This is my 6th pregnancy ( had two mmcs and 3 children by my side). I am fat but it is showing already.
No symptoms all of sudden and I started to panic .... 7 +4 here.

Billypug · 13/10/2015 17:49

I don't think I'm showing yet. Although I often find myself touching my tummy.. I've just been browsing the net for some new leggings and comfy jeans. I'm back to work next week and worried about what I can wear that won't be mega uncomfortable!

MollieRos · 13/10/2015 19:19

Ah, I'm so jealous of all you lot being so much further ahead than me and getting little bumps! I'm only 7+2 so nowhere near a bump here. I'm built like a boy though (proper scrawny, straight up and down!) so I wonder if it'll be quite obvious when I do start to show? I live in skinny jeans so I'm going to have to re-think my wardrobe once I can't do my jeans up any more!

fizzy good luck for saturday... my private early scan is on sunday when I'll be 8wks too Smile

Mamama31 · 13/10/2015 19:27

Good luck for fizzy and mollie for your scans. Also to those with 12wk scans this week, can't wait to hear updates/see pics :)

PearlyFish · 13/10/2015 21:51

Hi, haven't posted in ages after the site went down on my phone and the thread moved on so quickly. I won't ever catch up now but still want to stay on the thread if that's ok?

10+3 and I have a bit of a bump coming. I don't think you can see it when I'm dressed though, which is good as I'm not ready to tell work yet.

I've had my booking appointment with the most lovely midwife (she practically did a birth debrief of my first labour which was really helpful). I'm now watching the post like a hawk waiting for my scan date to come through!!

Does anyone else use the Ovia app? The icon showing hand development is so cute. There was just a dot there before, but now it is a teeny little hand Smile

PinkBubbles1 · 13/10/2015 23:28

I still don't have my booking or scan date through, am 9 weeks today. I'm sure it will come through soon though.

In the mornings my skinny jeans fit fine by evening I feel like I'm bursting out of them!! And can't wait to get something comfy on!

Can someone remind me how to tag please, is it square brackets and name?

I've not heard of ovia, maybe I'll check it out. I have the bump app which compares each week to a fruit or veg!

Greyhorses · 14/10/2015 07:37

No bump here either but I have definatley filled out a little over my stomach (proberbly bloating from the nausea and vomiting!)
I am only 5ft and a size 6 so I am also wondering if I will show early, I can't wait until I can see it...it might feel more real!

Mamama31 · 14/10/2015 07:47

Greyhorses...a size 6! you will def see your bump when it comes (jeal!!!!) I'm a 10-12....would be an 11 if there was one! be sort of a 10 on top 12 on bottom but 10 on bottom with stretchy maternity stuff. So I think it will take a while longer for me to see a more established bump...I did have a bit of weight around my tummy so it has to get through that first! oh to be skinny!!!!

GrouchyKiwi · 14/10/2015 08:10

Pink You tag using star * around the person's name.

I think how early you show is affected by quite a few factors. I didn't show till about 22 weeks with my first pregnancy as I've got quite a long waist so there was plenty of space for everything to move into. Being tall helps too, and having undamaged stomach muscles.

With DD2 I started showing at about 10 as my muscles hadn't recovered properly from DD1. I think that was partially because I had to spend 3 months of the first pregnancy sitting on my sofa. I lost so much fitness.

With this pregnancy I've got a little bump already at 8 weeks but I don't think you can see it when I'm dressed.

PearlyFish I love Ovia, I don't think I would have got pregnant as quickly as I did without their conception app and I love the pregnancy app too, especially the little hand! It is a bit US-centric though, not sure at their guess that baby is the size of a canapé at 9 weeks though, unless canapés in America are incredibly small!

Nicky333 · 14/10/2015 09:57

I'm 8+1 and I have a teeny little bump. I'm 5'5" and a 6-8 and my stomach was totally flat.

I had my proper booking-in appointment yesterday and I'm going to be partly midwife-led and partly consultant-led as I'm 40.

Southy84 · 14/10/2015 10:44

Sorry for dissapearing, mollie I'm sure you'll be fine with curtains if you can do clothes, maybe one day I will try to sew again, or maybe I'll try knitting, I do love knitted baby clothes. Not long Til your scan :)

peas glad you sorted your appointment, how frustrating you didn't receive the letter! At least it was just the mw app and not the scan.

Welcome back tiff glad youre ok :) and welcome back to pearly nice to see people back again

No bump here just some bloat which is preventing me wearing my skinny jeans :( luckily most of my clothes are fine and as long as I'm careful with tops (nothing right round the boobs as they are the giveaway) then I don't think its obvious.

I have my booking in app tomorrow, can't wait, although I know it's nothjng fun really, it's just another step closer to the scan (which im hoping I can ask them to move forward)

For those size 6-8 ladies I'm jealous, I was this time last year before my wedding but unfortunately that didn't last long after the wedding!

Billypug · 14/10/2015 10:50

Hi everyone

Just been for my 12 weeks scan. Everything was fine and it was amazing to see baby moving around so much!! Very happy!! X

Southy84 · 14/10/2015 11:13

Yay billy amazing scan picture, Aww so lovely, really happy for you x

ODog · 14/10/2015 12:08

Congrats on your scan news billy. You must be the first one to have had a 12 wk scan.

Southy84 · 14/10/2015 12:19

Do you now have a confirmed due date billy?

VickyHW · 14/10/2015 12:21

Aww congrats Billypug how lovely, I just nearly cried looking at that pic haha (have cried twice this morning, once because I saw a cat and it looked lonely and I thought about cats being sad, and once because I went to make a cup of tea and the kettle wasn't boiling because I'd turned it off at the plug, emotions are going well over here)

Southy84 · 14/10/2015 12:28

I'm having a crying day too vicky I saw the advert for the veterans diy sos and bawled my eyes out, that programme always makes me cry- but seriously crying at the advert Hmm

Mamama31 · 14/10/2015 12:29

Billy that's amazing!!! What a cute pic! So exciting! I can't believe how much difference there will be in 3 wks time...my 9 wk scan is just like a little jelly baby! but that's a real baby!!! Wow!!! I'm sure you are delighted. Any guess what you think you might be having (I know you can't really tell from 12wk scan but just wondering if you have any feeling about it?)

Billypug · 14/10/2015 12:57

Thanks everyone! Due date is 2nd May. So I'm 11w2d today. I had a scan at 8 weeks too and am amazed how different it was today. Seeing baby move and stretching its arms and legs out was amazing!

I was swaying towards thinking its a boy.. But I saw something on nub theory and after reading that and seeing scan I'm now thinking girl! We find out 18th December... Nice Christmas present!

Pleased to hear I'm not the only one who's highly emotional. I cry at the most random of things! DH has often arrived home from work with me balling my eyes out!

royaldub · 14/10/2015 13:11

Hi ladies quick post while waiting for my mam to call over and then we going to pick up dc.

Billy that is a lovely scan pic, must be so exciting!!!!

Im crying at everything too, just last week I was at my desk in work and started crying for no reason I was like wtf?! thankfully no one saw! Ive cried few times to OH as im feeling pretty iseless at moment after work that I am not helping with housework, just dont have the energy, thankfully he is great and is a great support!

Anyway better go before my ma spots me in posting in a pregnancy forum Grin

Mamama31 · 14/10/2015 13:21

Just got my scan date through its next week!!!! 22nd october...I will only be 10+6 but sure that will be grand I want to see it again soon. I'd prob see more if I waited a bit longer but we will prob book a private scan to break up the time before 20wk scan anyway.

GrouchyKiwi · 14/10/2015 13:25

Lovely wee pic, Billy. Smile

frozensmoothie · 14/10/2015 13:47

Aaww lovely scan pic billy we have the same due date!!

Here's mine from my private scan at 10+6. Can't wait to see him/her again for the 12 (or should I say 13!) week scan on 27th.

I've also been seeing if I can work out the gender but don't quite understand where to look for the nub or if it's even visible on this picture!
