Pleased all the booking in appts went well ladies. And good luck with the scans today.

We r undecided whether to stay team yellow. We were told we were having a dd with ds1. Luckily we had a 4d scan before he was born so we didn't get all the way till birth thinking that. With ds2 we didn't find out because of the mistake first time round. I think this time it would be easier to find out so we could get prepared but don't want a mistake again.

I'm 10+5 today and still no sign of a scan appt. is anyone else as far on as me and have no scan date yet? I'm starting to get slightly anxious about it. I'm really starting to show too and I know people will be noticing this. Even in baggy clothes it's quite obvious. I just want to know everything is ok so we can announce it to the world. I'm hopeful I will relax a bit after that.

Oopsnumber3 · 14/09/2015 14:48

We're going to find out for this baby. We did for the other two and it was so much easier, especially with the ballache that is name selection! Plus I can start offloading clothes from either DS or DD as this is definitely our last one!

Mummyofonesofar · 14/09/2015 15:03

Dexlie I understand you would be hesitant after the mistake! That would be a real shock expecting one and finding out it's the other!

Carrot I hope I get to hear them next week, may record the scan on my phone if they will let me so I can share it with DP when he gets home from work.

I think I did hear one twin at my 8w scan but then they shut the sound off.

CarrotVan · 14/09/2015 15:04

They have big signs up saying no recording allowed at our local hospital unfortunately.

I have told my boss. She nearly cried (happily). And then looked a bit panicked

Mummyofonesofar · 14/09/2015 15:08

That is lovely CarrotV I just told my deputy director Blush because he was working in my office and asked how life was. He is very friendly and approachable and couldn't help but blurt the news out! He seemed genuinly over the moon for me Smile

Cherrypie5 · 14/09/2015 16:07

Dexlie you could try giving your scan department a call if you have their number. When I had my booking today my midwife told me to give them a call if I hadn't heard anything after 2 weeks to see where I am on the system. Worth a try.

ashboo76 · 14/09/2015 16:12

I Told my dad today (I'm 10 weeks tomo) as i'd avoided a family do Saturday night and upset him. I spent most of the time crying down the phone but he was wonderful (for someone who doesn't show much emotion) and then I had to ring my brother (we are close) and as him and my sil can't have kids it was tough but he was lovely and said be careful especially coz I'm old (cheeky sod always playing the younger brother card and to remind you I'm 39) it's a weight off now I just want my scan!! 2 weeks on Friday hurry up! Emotional day glad it's over.

MazzleDazzle · 14/09/2015 16:13

No scan appt for me either Dexlie. It's a bloody pain isn't it? Maybe we need to chase someone up?

My first pregnancy we didn't find out the sex, but due to complications she was delivered by emcs 8 weeks early. With my second I had to go for extra appointments and scans, just to be on the safe side. Asked the consultant if he could give me a hint and he did. Will probably find out with this one too as I couldnt handle the suspense! However, although a scan can give you a clue, even 4D ones can be wrong.

Thought I was over the nausea and dizziness, but it's back today with a vengeance!

Glad your bosses were pleased for you Mummy and Carrots! It makes it that bit easier, doesn't it?

Rinnyx · 14/09/2015 16:17

Mummy yes they did cause I fell oh the pill we don't know how far along I really am and the Dr before found the heartbeat and thinks I'm further along.

Scan is booked in for Thursday at 4! Excited but hoping I can get out of work a lil bit early to make it

Feefee45 · 14/09/2015 16:27

Scan didn't go well. 7+5 dates exact as IVF and only 2mm with no heartbeat need to decide how I would like to miscarry. Good luck with all your pregnancies.
