Joining from the relaxed TTC-ers. Hoping to see everyone here soon Grin

My stats:
Age 36
DS 29 months old, still bf once a day at bedtime.
Currently 7 weeks pregnant.
History: had a mc at 9 weeks prior to DS - also had bleeding while pg with him but all was well.

Been feeling constantly ill for a week now! Last time I ate to feel better but it doesn't make any difference this time. Only actually been sick twice though. Had to fess up to the parents/PILs already as so off colour. Started taking spatone sachets today to try and increase my energy levels. Looking forward to speaking with a midwife to see what else I can do, if anything.

Struggling and don't know what to do! The meds I'm on cause severe constipation...resulted in me having to use an enema which was really traumatic. So today I decided to stop my Meds to see if it helped but the problem is now I feel horrendously sick! I can't eat or drink again and will risk dehydration again. I can't win. I'm so fed up of this pregnancy. I was in tears at my gps yesterday and he was great...very supportive but I just feel so alone. Feel like I've been poisoned.

Reebok · 23/09/2015 17:53

Sorry for the rant! Hope you're all doing much better x

lostindubai · 24/09/2015 15:36

Gosh Reebok you poor poor thing Sad you really are stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don't know what to suggest, but I do know how miserable constipation is. I don't blame you for trying what you can. Trouble is, if you get dehydrated you'll be constipated anyway. Have you tried lactulose? My midwife said it's ok in pregnancy but you could always contact yours and ask their advice?

I'm not too bad today but not on the way out of this yet by any stretch. I keep wishing the next week away as my scan is next Thursday morning. I honestly can't wait.

InFrance I hope your train has wifi or you've got a good book with you!

Reebok · 24/09/2015 20:02

I can't keep down lactolouse. Decided to go back on the meds today. I was up all last night being sick so couldn't take it. Pregnancy is complete and utter misery for me. I knew I would get hg again yet I decided to try for baby number 2.

How many weeks are you Dubai? Fingers crossed all will be ok with your scan?. Try to keep yourself busy to take your mind off it...easier said than done I know.

Bluepigoon · 25/09/2015 08:36

Poor you Reebok, how long did you have hg for last time? Hopefully it won't last too much longer.

I had a bad/good day yesterday. Was off work sick as this cough and cold is leavingme feeling exhausted and with a pounding headache. I also have cystitis, so was about to set off to the drs to pick up a prescription for some antibiotics and went to the loo and saw some red blood when I wiped. So I phoned the midwife in a panic and she was lovely and booked me in for a scan last night. After a very stressful few hours I went for my scan and saw an 8 week old bean with a heartbeat. I still feel dreadful but so relieved and happy about the outcome of the scan!

InFrance2014 · 25/09/2015 10:41

Reebok goodness you are going through the mill. I wonder if there might be any tips online for people taking the drug you're on? I got very awful constipation at the end of last pregnancy, it is horrible.
Did your sickness clear up at a particular point last time? Maybe you can try to tick off each day towards that point, you won't have to experience it again...

Reebok · 25/09/2015 13:19

Blue I'm so sorry you had a scare but pleased the scan went well. It's difficult not to worry early on.

I had hg until 16 weeks last time...that's when it started to subside. I was still unwell until much later but it was managable. I'm on the hyperemesis support forum which helps. Just a case of taking one day at a time but each day feels like eternity. I miss feeling normal.

InFrance2014 · 25/09/2015 14:10

oh Bluepigoon I didn't see your post, like Reebok says sorry you had that happen, its frightening. Excellent news about the bean and heartbeat though!

DeccaMitford · 25/09/2015 16:14

Sorry you are all feeling so crap Flowers I can't imagine how terrible HG must be Reebok, considering how bad my experience of just common or garden MS felt, and sorry for your scare Blue but at least it had a happy outcome Smile

My cold is a bit better and still no MS yet, still early days I guess, but I had a horrible argument with someone at a toddler group this morning so have felt pretty awful all day. A bit worried what effect the stress hormones might have had on little bean. Managed to persuade my DS to have a nap (I.e. Drove till he fell asleep!) so I'm going to try and get some sleep as well now and hope that balances it out.

InFrance2014 · 26/09/2015 18:04

Decca seriously don't worry about a bit of cortisol from a barney. It has to be sustained and very extreme (like living in a war zone) to have physiological effects I believe. But napping is always good Wink
I'm going to bed about 9.30- 10pm these days!

lostindubai · 28/09/2015 10:17

Bleurgh!

I'm a word.

I've hardly been online at all due to feeling so nauseous. It's almost constant. Sleep feels like the only relief I get.

Last night I was up from around 2am - not to watch the super moon - just because I had a sore stomach followed by several bouts of diarrhoea Sad I'm exhausted so have rung in sick at work and spending the day in bed.

I am 12 weeks now Reebok. Scan is this Thursday. Feels so late! It can't come quick enough.

How is everyone doing? Anyone had any more appointments?

Hello, how exciting Dubai, my 12 week scan is also this Friday! Sorry you have nausea so badly. Mine has definitely got worse and worse over the past 6 weeks, but the other night I managed to eat a whole plate of food AND a bit of ice cream afterwards, felt almost normal. Back again since then though!

I also suffered the WORST constipation ever yesterday (much worse even than last pregnancy), so am commiserating with Reebok even more. Felt like my intestines had made some kind of rock, too large to get out, just awfully painful, and (TMI) had to help it out in the end, totally gross. Think it did some damage as it's still hurting today Sad.
Stopping taking the Pregnacare as it might be the huge iron supplement in that, although I've not had blood test yet to check my levels (will carry on with folic acid tablets til end of this week). And I sent husband for prune juice etc supplies, I cannot go through that again!!!

darkpandora · 28/09/2015 14:38

Yay I found you for some reason this thread dissapered of my watching list and then my internet kept closing down when I tried to get on the talk page Angry

I'm 9 weeks now and just 3 weeks to go to my first scan it can't come quick enough. I have been suffering the dreaded nausea and if I don't get to sleep at a certain time I physically throw up at 4am or 5am!

I also feel for you all constipation is the worst I have had it really bad as well I hate going to the toilet now.

Dubai and inFrance how exciting hope both your scans go well! How exciting you will get to see your baby!!Grin

Can I ask how are your partners acting since fining out your pregnant do they seem interested?

How is everyone else doing? Have you told anyone your news yet?

Bluepigoon · 29/09/2015 06:54

Pandora my husband is really excited, he can't wait to tell people but we're trying to hang on until 12 weeks. The only issue is we'll be moving house in a couple of weeks and roping in my brother in law and sister in law to help carry furniture. They're already suspcicious because I've been uncharacteristically drinking soft drinks at the pub and with the move they'll either think I'm definitely pregnant or just plain lazy when I don't get involved with the heavy lifting! Oh well, I'll just say I've pulled a muscle in my back and they can suspect as much as they like but I'm not confirming anything until my 12 week scan!

I'm still waiting for my scan date to come through, hope it does soon so at least I know when I'll be able to tell family.

Hope you're all coping with the nausea. I've also got constipation, it's really not much fun is it?

InFrance2014 · 29/09/2015 09:21

Hi Pandora, your scan will come very soon! I find early bed very necessary at the moment, am so tired and breathless all the time.

My husband is excited, but he doesn't feel it's 'real' yet- he was in with me for the scan at 9 weeks, but he was holding our 18 month old, plus it didn't look totally baby-like, and it was also asleep so no movement. I think on Friday it will click for him, seeing a real tiny baby will be much more real, especially if it wriggles about! (He cried at the first scan we had for our daughter, that was at 15 weeks so it was very obviously an actual baby, and they do 3D scans here too which was amazing).

Reebok · 29/09/2015 18:15

Hi all, sorry to hear some of you are suffering from nausea. Hopefully you will feel better soon. Good luck for the scans ladies.

Still feeling awful. The vomiting and nausea is really getting me down. Plus being stuck indoors all the time but in all honesty I don't want to see anyone. I don't even like being around dh and dd.

lostindubai · 30/09/2015 13:46

Hi Blue. How long till you're 12 weeks? My scan appt came through really quickly after seeing the gp (although I've had an absolute age to wait!) if you want to call them to make sure they've got you on their list then do so. Better than worrying (if you are worrying).

Pandora, my dp is pleased but has been concentrating on selling our house/buying a new one to really get too excited. Also, he's had to do the bulk of the childcare since I've been feeling unwell so although he says he's not, I'm sure he's a bit peeved about that!

We've told our parents, and some close friends. I'm really showing now though and tbh I don't care who knows now!

Had a rotten day yesterday. A delay on the trains meant I missed my dinner and was subsequently really sick when I got home - the worst I've been so far. Made me realise how important regular meals are!

Hope you're getting plenty of peace Reebok. I know what you mean - when you feel like shit you just want to be alone! Sorry you're feeling like that for such an extended period of time though Flowers

Hi Dubai, I'll be 12 weeks on the 19th and had my booking in appointment on the 21st Sep so I feel like I should've had a letter by now. Will give them a call and check they haven't forgotten about me!

Hope you're feeling better, I think regular meals are a definite must! I haven't had much nausea, but last weekend I got to about 11.30 without eating anything without realising and was feeling really upset and distressed and like I couldn't cope. It was only when my DH gave me a sandwich that I realised I wasn't having a breakdown, I'd just been a bit hungry Blush I felt so much better after the sandwich that I welled up with happy tears. Ahh, hormones!

lostindubai · 01/10/2015 11:14

Oh yes, hormones don't you just love em Grin Hope you get satisfactory answers when you call them up.

Well my scan went really well! It turns out I'm 13 weeks today so that's a bit further along than we thought. Hopefully not too much left in the way of nausea Got a couple of nice pics and baby was fairly active. Saw the heartbeat and all the fingers and toes!

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow InFrance!

lostindubai · 01/10/2015 11:17

Just read that again and it looks like you're calling up the hormones Blue! Haha, obviously I meant the midwives! Brain drain here I'm afraid..

applecatchers36 · 01/10/2015 13:44

Hi all and congrats for all those who have had first scan & all is well.

Have midwife appt tomorrow and scan next week which feels really late as think will be 13 weeks then....

Sorry to hear of those still sick, nausea is getting a little better mainly due to eating very regularly, as that seems to help.

Am not sure if the bump is just extra weight from eating or the beginning of a baby bump but getting more difficult to disguise.

Hormones are all over the place too, cry at the slightest thing which is not like me at all.

All the joy of the first trimester ;)

DeccaMitford · 02/10/2015 09:12

Aw congratulations on the scan dubai that's such great news. Good luck to everyone else with scans coming up too.

Well my nausea has started to kick in now but either it's not too bad yet or I learned some good coping techniques last time round which are helping. So far eating a little first thing, having food and drink little and often, trying to take things gently and getting extra sleep seem to be working quite well.

I've got my booking in appointment at 9+2, I'm 6+4 at the moment so quite a while to wait, I'm a fair way behind the rest of you.

Reebok · 02/10/2015 20:17

Hi all, congrats on the scans! Very exciting. Decca sorry to hear nausea has kicked in but glad you're controlling it. I finally have my booking in next Thursday and I will be over 10 weeks! Got another scan on Monday as I joined a study for women who have had mc. So I get extra scans if I give access to urine samples! Feel nervous even though I've had a scan at 8 weeks.

Still feeling awful...sick sick sick! Wish I could come off my meds but it's controlling the vomiting so it's a lot less than it was. Today I actually had a 3 hour window where I didn't feel sick at all! It was wonderful so I decided to cook...big mistake! Ended up back in bed holding my bucket for the rest of the day.

lostindubai · 02/10/2015 20:31

Oh Reebok you poor thing. But on the plus side you had a three hour window of feeling ok! I hope it's a sign of things to come for you I really do. My booking in was similarly late. Didn't feel right at all. Hope the next week passes quickly.

Apple how was your appt today and how are you feeling now?

Decca I hope the nausea stays under control. Fx.

I told my workmates today and it felt goooood Smile lots of people happy for me which was nice. Finally feels like I'm not on hold any more.
