Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Hi, I'm another one with irregular AF too; my ttc diary looks very like yours, endlesslove! Congratulations on BFP, it is SO hard ttc with AF so irregular!

For what its worth, my last AF was 3rd Nov and my due date wheel says we would be due10th Aug if we had perfect ovulation 14days into that period. I know I tend to ovulate day 16/ 17, so that makes me due about Aug 12th / 13th.

Your cycle is typically 32 days (4days longer than usual) so maybe ov around day 18..... which makes you due around Aug 14th.

If I'm miles off, do let me know. The scan will soon tell all!!!

BTW, how are Lovelybird?

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 14:48

I also ovulate on the 16th day and am due on the 13th

BibiJesus · 11/12/2006 14:58

It is a tall order isn't it? I kept dd a secret for about 4 hours, and Pete (m/c) a secret for a whole weekend, but dh was away and didn't want to tell him over the phone.

I'm hoping I can put it to the back of my mind and get on with the busy run up to Christmas without it slipping out.

I'm so glad there's an August thread already, when I had DD I lived in the ante-natal boards! I'm due on 19th btw.

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 15:46

Is anyone else telling their family member's at Christmas. We are going to tel DD and our familys on Christmas?

treacletart · 11/12/2006 15:53

I've told mine (who live in France) already and we'll be telling DH's parents face to face at Christmas. I'm probably quite cavalier about it, but I'm happy to tell anyone I feel I'd like to know should anything go wrong. I used this rule of thumb last time (just a few months ago) and only regretted having told my elderly neighbour. I was glad to have told close friends and my work colleagues. I don't think there's any point in being superstitious about it and I'm quite enjoying giving good news to the friends who were so supportive last time around.

BibiJesus · 11/12/2006 16:03

treacletart, I thought I'd feel the same way after losing a baby at 16 weeks - did everything right, waited until the 12 week scan etc then told the world and his wife - but now I'm pg again I don't want to tell anyone until that first scan. not that it is a guarantee of everything being okay because I know it isn't, but I kind of liked the shared secret of only me and dh knowing, made it special and just ours for a while.

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 16:04

Treacletart, I know what you mean. DH's family doesn't know yet, but my friends do. Its nice to have someone to talk to about it and friends to help you if it goes wrong.

BibiJesus · 11/12/2006 16:10

forgot to say that everyone on mn knew last time too, but that's different to rl.

BibiJesus · 11/12/2006 16:11

I don't think I would have gotten through m/c without support of friends and family (& mn!), so I can see positives in being brave and telling everyone, but I think I wills till hold on until after the scan - unless I burst before then!

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 16:11

I do notice how all the very superstitious people don't mind telling people on MN!!!!!! I think its soooooo lovely to have you guys to chat about it with.

BibiJesus · 11/12/2006 16:18

I don't know how people who don't MN cope not being able to tell everyone, at least on here we can share without feeling like we're tempting fate or whatever. MN saved my sanity while pg with dd, and provided me with a lot more answers than my midwife ever did. Oh gooooood, i'm going to have the same useless midwife again!

lovelybird · 11/12/2006 16:52

Beakyman - I'm fine thanks, no more bleeding since sat morning so fingers crossed it stays that way. I haven't been to work today as I had a mad 12 hr day and didn't want to over do it.
I think we're due similar times, My AF was 2nd Nov and I ov'd on CD 17 so think I may be due any time Aug 11th onwards but am waiting for a scan to confirm the dates.
We're going to tell both sets of parents on xmas day and our friends at New Year, if I can keep it a secret that long!

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 17:18

Can you not request another BIBI?

BibiJesus · 11/12/2006 17:31

I don't know actaully. There are 3 in my local midwife team, my main one was an out and out cow and knew nothing, one was so drippy I had no confidence in her at all and the other I never saw. Can I request a differnt team?

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 17:33

I think you should if you are not sure of their competance. Although make sure you can first as you don't want to be caught out by currant midwives if you have to keep them.

ChristmasMadwithBump · 11/12/2006 17:49

Been to town to stock up on MS stuff got myself some, B6 vits, lemons, ginger ale, ginger biscuits, rich tea biscuits, morning sickness wrist bands, and I got some Rennie tabs!

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 19:24

BibiJesus · 11/12/2006 19:42

I told dh. I was all resolute about it until I got home and saw his face and just told him. He is ecstatic. Yay!

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 20:28

I knew it

lovelybird · 11/12/2006 21:32

Aah Bibijesus that's so sweet. I wouldn't have been able to keep it quiet from DH!

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2006 22:21

feel yucky, they should call it evening sickness

endlesslove · 11/12/2006 23:38

Hello all. Well I went to see my doctor this afternoon and everything went fine. He did blood pressure and made me lay down to feel tummy. He went through the process and procedures with me. I am due 14th August. I am in the 5th week. Going back on 4th January to meet the nurse and go through forms for free prescriptions, dental care and eye care. Will see doctor for examination too. So it feels a little bit more real, but don't think it will properly until I see the little one on the screen at scan.

So how is everyone else feeling.

Can anyone describe the nauseous and sickness feeling? Is it the same as normal sickness? Waves or pains? etc etc.

Sending us all tonnes and tonnes of sticky substance!!! xx

ChristmasMadwithBump · 12/12/2006 07:37

Feel like crying, feel so sick I think I'm going to be sick, dreading tomorrow every day it gets worse and it's bring back so many memorise of the last PG, where I was so very sick and ended up in hospital, I must of been mad and still mad to of thought I can do this all again! Hopefully I feel better later!

Uki · 12/12/2006 08:46
