Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

I think the guide line amount of caffeine is 300mg, that?s 3 mugs of instant coffee or 4 mugs of tea or 6 bards of chocolate

I would like a home birth but we live half hour drive from the hospital and I would be 2 worried about something going wrong and not being able to get to hospital quick enough.
Going to talk to the mw about that though and see what she thinks,

Ooo it says in this magazine that a Finnish study found that six month old babies tended to smile more if there mothers ate chocolate regularly in pregnancy

So those with older ones, when do you think it will be the right time to tell them they are going to have a new baby?

I won?t to tell my dd who is 5 now because she has been going on about having another sister and I know she will be really happy about it.

But she will go round shouting it out like last time and we have not told anyone yet

6 bars of chocolate

ChristmasMadwithBump · 08/12/2006 16:43

conkertree · 08/12/2006 16:54

hope everyone has a great weekend - am so looking forward to a long lie tomorrow. just had a bar of chocolate just now - and no crampy pains this afternoon - so maybe that is the secret.

paulaplumpbottom · 08/12/2006 17:25

Am I the only one who feels like they could sleep all weekend.

bresha · 08/12/2006 19:05

i feel like that as well paulaplumpbottom,
ah if only, but there isnt a chance in hell

paulaplumpbottom · 08/12/2006 20:58

My husband is taking me to Dublin for the weekend, which I usually love, but just can't get excited about it, because I keep feeling like asking him to stay home and sleep instead. Oh but the beds at the Merrion are sooooooooo lovely it might just be worth the hassle.

ChristmasMadwithBump · 08/12/2006 21:14

Boobs are big and killing me, been a fat pig today but i did go swimmng does that go in my faver?, sooooooo tired too, going to watch a flim and go to bed, but having a lie-in in the morning, well at least till 10am okay okay 11am if getting up for the loo every few hours doesn't wake me up to much!
Hope every one is happy and well, have a good week end!

paulaplumpbottom · 08/12/2006 21:19

I'm off to bed have a lovely weekend.

hormonalwreck · 08/12/2006 22:41

I've found a reasonable solution on the drinking front. Bitburger drive or alcohol free becks. Of course only if your going to someones house or have guests over. The only giveaway is the bright red top, but you can't really tell when it's open. It actually tastes like beer and 'looks' like you're drinking as you have a bottle in your hand.

Tesco also does alcohol free Merlot and Chardonnay, once again not as good as the real thing (tastes like grapejuice but not as sweet) but looks very convincing.

I'm releaved to hear other people having cramps. Other than that and tender nipples thats the only symptom I have (suppose I should count myself lucky)

What's the general consensus by the way on eating prawns? I'm going to a christmas party next week and I've ordered prawn cocktail starter. I've read so many conflicting reports. I'd be grateful for any real advice

NattyandThomasandBump · 08/12/2006 22:53

ChristmasMadwithBump · 08/12/2006 23:57

N&T&B I'm five weeks now, scan wont be till end of jan but I cant compain as xmas and new year will go by so fast anyway! How many weeks are you now?

treacletart · 08/12/2006 23:59

Hormonalwreck I'm sure you're prawn cocktail will be fine - its raw or partially cooked seafood you have to watch out for, once they're properly pink your prawns shouldn't carry any more bacterial risk than any other food.

MMMMmmmmm you've got me thinking about mary rose sauce and avocado's now.....

paulaplumpbottom · 09/12/2006 09:06

Would you really want to risk it though?

treacletart · 09/12/2006 16:27

Well I guess if there's a chance the prawns were only partially cooked or had been hanging around longer than they should they might carry a listeria risk - I suppose it comes down to how reputable you think the kitchen is and also whether eating them anywhere might send you into a panicy spiral (always best avoided of course). If I remember rightly, immune syustems at this end of the pregnancy aren't very reduced yet - they're at their lowest in the third trimester.

lovelybird · 09/12/2006 17:14

Hi all,
I had a bit of a scare today. Woke up at 6 with a banging headache, went for a wee and I was bleeding. A fair bit, and the brightest red you've ever seen. I only bled the once, no more so far today. I called NHS direct as I wasn't sure what to do ( my sister had the same and went to the hosp). I was advised to rest and see what happens over the weekend, if it carries on call back or go to GP on Mon etc.
I feel Ok though in myself, no pain or anything like that so I'm hoping it's not going to come back and everything will be OK. Will keep you posted.

Beakyman · 09/12/2006 17:24

Ooooh, that sounds horrible, Lovely bird. Hope nothing more happens. Take care of yourself!

malodorantemelly · 09/12/2006 18:45

Can I join in please? have just tested positive, )well actually yesterday, but my internet blew up) although af is not due till tuesday. I just hope the lines keep getting stronger.

I am due 22 august - my birthday!!!!! What a b'day present.

BTW - I must have eaten about 1000 king prawns throughout my last pregnancy, as it was one of my cravings... I think you would be incredibly unlucky to have a problem.

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 09/12/2006 20:19

Lovelybird, finders crossed that everything is OK! A good excuse for you to rest and be waited on hand-and-foot.......
Welcome Malo (name far too long for me to type all!). I can't believe your af not due til Tues but you already know! It's absolutely amazing! Congrats!
Well, despite my best intentions to keep this pg hush hush for as long as poss, I went and told my DD today! I don't know why...we were having a cuddle and it just felt right. She has been sworn to complete secrecy and I'm sure she'll respect that. She was really chuffed although she thought I was joking at first, bless

NattyandThomasandBump · 10/12/2006 09:39

ChristmasMadwithBump · 10/12/2006 16:06

Lovelybird Fingers crossed that everything is going to be alright, take care chick!

N&T&B 16weeks showgirl boobs LOL , well MS is kicking in big time, fizzy pop is holding it off I just dont want to end up in hospital like I did before with DS#2, boobs are bigger and they hurt when you tuch them! I was sick on a bus too with MS with DS#2, but I was sick in my hand bag and i went upstair so no one could see had to wash it when i got to work, things we do hay! Take care of your self and your little man but you dont need me to tell you that! Babymadxxx

paulaplumpbottom · 10/12/2006 17:22

My MS is lasting all day long. I threw up several times on the train today. I was never sick with my first so I really wasn't expecting this.

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 10/12/2006 18:13

God, I feel lucky! No MS yet, but have never really suffered with it in the vomiting sense! With DD I always felt really nauseous and horribly tired but was not sick until the day of 12 week scan - from nerves I expect - and one more time after that when I was brushing my teetch. With DS I felt really sick again but don't think I actually puked at all!
Am not feeling great at the moment and am all prepared with ginger and lemon tea and rich tea biscuits, but so far so good!
