Another one here who looks 'pregnant' already. As it is DC3, I think any muscles I may once have had have just given up the ghost! I am worrying about it being obvious when I go back to work (teacher) and I was hoping to keep it quiet for a bit longer. Very concerned about telling them as I have just been promoted.

I have also gone off tea and coffee. My poor espresso machine, which is usually in constant use, is gathering dust in a corner!

marmitemofo · 11/08/2015 16:29

thanks here I've just sent you a PM about the facebook group.

feeling so awful right now, just watching the clock till I can go home at 5. The past week or so I've woke up feeling fine, but steadily feeling worse as the day goes on until the nausea peaks in the afternoon. end up crashing in bed at 8. poor DP is struggling now with being left to do all the housework every evening and not spending any time with him! he's not complaining (yet) but I can see it bothering him. I just don't have the energy to do anything though Confused

Paperblank · 11/08/2015 17:03

I'm staying put on MN too. I like the fact I don't "know" you but I do know you (that doesn't make sense written down although I bet you know what I mean Grin)

I've had such a craving for icy icy cold drinks. I am getting loads of exercise walking back and forth from the water cooler lol.

I've been away for a week and so much has happened, new thread etc... I've just read the new one and left number 2 as I don't have the time!

I'm 9+5 today and also have the due date of 9/10th March like some others!

My symptoms seem to be lessening which is a relief as I was really starting to get sick and tired of feeling tired and sick!! But i'm also starting to worry that something is wrong, with my DD I had 17 weeks of hellish morning sickness and fatigue and to suddenly have more energy at just short of 10 weeks is a concern! However I do start to feel, what I call, gippy (when you start gagging at smells or when you sneeze wierdly!) around 4.30pm when I get tired so that's reassuring! Having spoken to my mum she thinks it's a boy and many others say they had less morning sickness with boys so may well be plus I've not gone off food this time, last time I couldn't stomach any flavour, this time my favourites have been bbq spare rib sensation prawn crackers!!

Well I'm hoping all is well with bubs and that this is the end of the morning sickness and I hope you are all keeping well! 2 weeks and 3 days til my 12 week scan (not that I'm counting the hours or anything) and YES to wanting an actual bump and not the fat bloated look!

dobbythedoggy · 11/08/2015 18:05

Right going to have to accept I need to buy new bras! Boobs and shoulders are agony this afternoon, poor dd is wondering why I keep jumping backwards when she hugs me. Mothercare in our town closed down the start of the year, although I found it pretty useless for baby stuff when dd was born, they were amazing at fitting maternity bras. Contemplating the hour and a half train ride to the next big city, to visit the next nearest one. It would be hell, old rickety track and cronically over crowed train that only ever seems to run with two carriages. But might actually be worth it to avoid waiting until saturday or sunday for mum to be able to take me to the out of town one in the next county.

Rosieblossom123 · 11/08/2015 18:15

Had my scan today and saw my little olive so cute and his little heartbeat flickering!! So relieved, doctors said I'm right on dates so 9+6! Can't stop looking at the scan picture! My 12 weeks scan letter also came through and its booked for the 28th August can't wait to see how different baby is going to look :)

BeautifulLiar · 11/08/2015 18:41

Congrats on all the scans! 22 days until my 12 week one, and 23 days until the kids are back at school and nursery. Normally hate September (spiders) but cannot wait this year!!

QforCucumber · 11/08/2015 18:53

Dp and I have spent the afternoon discussing names - apparently we can't agree on any. This is going to be an interesting 7 months!

sepa · 11/08/2015 19:05

Hi. Just found this Smile
I'm due 18th March with my first! Just been reading this thread but seems I am 2 threads behind everyone else Grin

Me624 · 11/08/2015 19:10

That's brilliant news Rosie! Hopefully you can relax a bit now.

Q DH and I have already picked names! Though I have to say I'm not totally sold on our girl option. Think I'll wait and find out what it is before I worry about that!

BeautifulLiar · 11/08/2015 19:14

hi sepa!

Come on Q and Me, what names do you have in mind? Wink

Indomitable · 11/08/2015 19:16

Great news Rosie!

Welcome sepa.

Q I had DS's name picked almost from day one. DH claimed not to like it and I basically stopped taking about it and planned to just announce it to him at birth. At which point he said of course he liked it he was just messing with me.

I think I thumped him.

I've got no strong convictions this time. There's a few names I know DH will not agree with! Think we'll not worry till we find out the sex. (Which we will endeavour to do at the 20wk scan).

Rosieblossom123 · 11/08/2015 19:37

Thank you so much girlies definitely relieved. Just so greatful!

Miss how did you scan go hun?

QforCucumber · 11/08/2015 19:44

The only name out of literally 100's that dp likes is Oscar (we think it'll be a boy haha) but I'm really not sold, I prefer the likes or Elliott or William or Joseph but he's outright 'no'd anything I mention. Think I'll leave it until we know for definite boy or girl, that'll narrow it down a bit haha

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 11/08/2015 19:51

Ooh! I love thinking about names, although it is early. DD and DS have very traditional English names so we have to go with another trad name so that it 'fits'. I think we know the names that we would use now, so it'll be interesting to see if we feel the same in 30 weeks!

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 11/08/2015 19:52

Q Oscar is lovely. William is DS's middle name and my nephew is an Elliott -also fab names Grin

BeautifulLiar · 11/08/2015 20:28

Also love Oscar. But I'm weird and if I know of one child with that name I can't use it Confused

Adora - my third child's name does not go with the other two at all! Oh well, I guess when they're adults they won't be known as a sibling set anyway... hopefully... haha.

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 11/08/2015 20:45

I am a teacher, Beautiful, so I find that makes choosing names hard. I don't mind using the name of a child that I have taught, but there are some names that I associate with 'spirited' children I know that are most definitely off the list!

Missdee2014 · 11/08/2015 20:49

Fab news Rosie! Mine went well too, 9+2 which is a day ahead of what I thoughtGrin So lovely to see a wee bean and a good strong heartbeat flickering away. Roll on 2nd September for 12 week scan now ????

MyNameIsSuz · 11/08/2015 20:56

Ooh I love names! Sorted for girls names I think, but we found boys names really hard last time and poor ds was nameless for ages. We did have a boy name sorted - Vincent - but a friend just used it, so unfair. I'd be happy to stick with it but dh thinks it'd be weird.

marmitemofo · 11/08/2015 21:08

we've also started to discuss names Smile. even though it's far too early! with DD we knew and had picked her name out years before we even TTC but couldn't decide on a boys name. this time round we've got a few on the boys list although a few more we can't agree on haha and no girls names we can agree on Confused part of the problem with girls names is we have two we like that are two similar to DDs name lol.

I also like the name Vincent but DP is having none of it. my nephew is called Oscar, I think it's a lovely name Smile

DP likes Matthew which is nice but feels a bit too classic, I like slightly unusual names. I suggested Matthias as a compromise but its been vetoed. we're going to find out the gender at the 20 week scan (too impatient haha) and I imagine we'll be debating names right up to the birth!

Poppins27 · 11/08/2015 21:13

Gah I can't believe how organised you all are....names decided already!! I'm very jealous as have absolutely NO idea what I like?! Naming Dd was so tricky, we had loads of boys names, but couldn't agree on a girls. Dp decided I could decide after seeing me go through labourbyt when push came to shove she really didn't 'look' like the name id loved throughout my pregnancy!!

This time, I no longer care for my previous boys names and the only girls names I like are way to similar to Dd's so are absolute no-no's!!

Dreading this decision!! Think we're keeping the gender a surprise again too which doesn't help?!

BeautifulLiar · 11/08/2015 21:15

I think I know which names you're thinking of Adora! I quite like Eric after Simon Cowell made it cool Blush but DH was like this Hmm

BeautifulLiar · 11/08/2015 21:16

22 days to goooo Missdee! What time is your scan?

Paperblank · 11/08/2015 21:22

Rosie my 12 week scan is the same date as yours! We are mega excited about it - we got a pic from our 8 week scan and I can't to compare the two of them.

We've not talked about names yet. My favourite boys name was vetoed a while back. I LOVE Stanley. DP replied that as he was nearly killed (not a joke) by someone called Stanley there was no way he was calling our son Stanley... I am still a little bit gutted but he does have a point Grin
