Hi all,

I've been lurking for a few weeks buy wanted to have an early scan before joining

MangoJuiceTillMarch edd 29th March with dc#1

Based on my cycle, I should be 7+1 which is close to the 7+2 I was given at my scan this morning. It was amazing seeing a flicker on the screen, made the whole thing feel pretty real.

I've been pretty symptom free touch wood and don't really know what to do from here. I haven't told my doctors yet, but will get on that this week so I can get a booking appointment etc.

It's so exciting to read about your scans and good news

QforCucumber · 12/08/2015 16:02

Got my scan date through today - 7th September, it feels like so far away. I'll be 13+2 then according to early scan dates.

Celen · 12/08/2015 16:17

Lovely news Lara, think mine is a whole month away Hmm I'm so impatient

Rosieblossom123 · 12/08/2015 16:31

Lara that's great news :)

Sickness is not getting any better, I hope it does soon though just had enough of it, looking at my scan picture is the only thing that gets me through it, it's all worth it :)

Don't know about you girls but does anyone feel achy like you've been exercising all day?

MyNameIsSuz · 12/08/2015 16:58

Rosie, thank you for posting the spreadsheet. I'm no longer on it! Any chance someone could add me back on please? I can't edit on my phone.

STATS
MyNameIsSuz, 31, expecting no 2 (number 1 ds 2.11), edd 10th March, scan on 26th August.

Thank you in advance anyone who can help!

MyNameIsSuz · 12/08/2015 17:01

Anyone else totally fallen off the exercise wagon? I'm off swimming tonight, the first exercise I've done since I got my bfp four weeks ago! I exercised all the way through with ds (did my last belly dancing class at 37 weeks!) and felt great right to the end. This time I'm like a slug!

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 12/08/2015 17:10

It's seems my morning sickness had been replaced by a crippling headache today, which has now radiated to my neck! It is the lesser of the two evils so I won't moan too much!

No exercise here for 5 weeks!!! Walking up the stairs gets me out of breathe and previous to this I could run 4 miles fairly easily!! I did go for a short walk today as ive started to feel better but still felt exhausted on my return!

Trinpy · 12/08/2015 17:39

Great news on the scan Lara.

We're having our scan on the same day Maybe Smile. Only 3 weeks to go!

I had such high hopes for eating healthily and exercising throughout this pregnancy but, now the tiredness has set in, curling up on the sofa with a takeaway suddenly seems a little more attractive!

MyNameIsSuz · 12/08/2015 17:49

So glad it's not just me! Hopefully when this trimester is over I can get back into it.

dobbythedoggy · 12/08/2015 17:53

smirking I had an awful headache over the weekend. Paracetmol didn't touch it, only tried one dose as I feel like I'm taking enough pills already. But the lady next door gave me a 4head stick and it really helped.

Sickness seems to be down to a managable level for me. Not actually been sick in days, and just getting the odd waves of feeling sick if I try to think about food. As approching 12 week mark, I might need to think about trying a day without the sickness meds. Once I got to that stage with dd I was only sick when I first woke up and fine after that. Although have just demoslished half a jar of pickled eggs my mum mentioned she had in the cupboard.

Was so uncomfortable today in my trousers I gave in and asked dh to get my old maternity clothes out. Opened the box to disscover most of what I've lent out to freinds has not been returned! One dress and four tops and a couple of jumppers, none of the trousers or leggings I wanted to break out. Will have to try to round them up after scan on friday. Have been happy to have them passed around but can't afford to replace them all! I've just budgeted for a few warmer bits as dd was an early november baby so was mostly pregnant when it was warm. Had to do an emergancy run to primark to pick up a few cheep bits in a bigger size. Took dd into the children's charity shop to pick out a toy for being so good and found a rail of maternity clothes. Managed to pick up a pair of 3/4 length jeans and a top for under £10, so feel much more comfortable.

marmitemofo · 12/08/2015 19:49

I'm definitely exercising less at the moment - used to be three times a week but past few weeks its been more like once maybe twice! am sure its contributed to my fat belly Sad hopefully will be able to exercise more when I'm not feeling knackered/tired/sick all the time...

sherazade · 12/08/2015 20:00

I tried to exercise today so I could feel human again. I did go spinning twice a week up until around week 8 but took it very slow as v breathless and then stopped as generally too fatigued to even get out of bed. I'm going to have to invest in some lighter kettlebells as my the 8kgs I usually swing I don't feel comfortable with. Just did some light cardio at home with squatting and core exercises and I was panting like crazy.

MyNameIsSuz · 12/08/2015 20:19

That's hard-core sherazade! I did my swim, 20 minutes (at a snail's pace) and I'm exhausted!

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 12/08/2015 21:06

I do kettlebells as well, sherazade. I have a trainer, but I haven't been since BFP because I have felt so ill. I went last night and she replaced my 8kg KBs with 4kgs and they were so light (still achy today, though!) I was secretly pleased that I didn't have to do the abs stuff Blush

BeautifulLiar · 12/08/2015 21:28

One Born Every Minute anyone...?

MrsEvansAlmost · 12/08/2015 21:49

hello March bus, I'm creeping in from the October bus to ask for a friends friend if there is a Facebook page set up for you guys? she's not on mn and is struggling a little so would like some wonderful ladies who are at the same stage to chat to x much appreciated ladies and good luck for March Smile Smile xx

Cherrytoes · 12/08/2015 22:07

Welcome Mango great news on your early scan.

Glad it's not just me who's slacked off on the exercising! Marmite, I'm sure that's what contributed to my fat belly too-although I can kid myself into thinking I'm showing ha ha so I'm not bothered!

I used to gym 3 times a week but I've swapped that to swimming a couple of times, still walk the dog twice a day but I get tired and out of breath so easily! Feel like my fitness evaporated overnight!
I also own horses but I've just made the decision to stop riding, I know the beans/grapes are only tiny but not taking any unneccesary risks at this stage!

Although, I am a building surveyor and running out of excuses not to go up ladders...darent tell anyone yet so I'm just avoiding them as best I can!

julesldn · 12/08/2015 22:13

Omg guys I feel awful!! All of you have been exercising and I've done NOTHING! Was doing maybe 4 days a week before bfp of HIIT/resistance and literally haven't done anything since because I've felt so awful. I bow down to all you troopers!! ????????????????

Beautiful - yes, big one born fan! Loved the calm water birth - I want that!!!

Indomitable · 12/08/2015 22:25

Well done all you exercisers!

I am morally against the whole concept. I learned to run this year, did a 5k and promptly gave up! And now, a combination of it being the summer holidays and feeling ropey and its frankly a miracle if I go further than bed to sofa.

I'm working on the principle that if I do overdo it (and by overdo it, I mean walking round a NT garden) I feel like death the next day. (Learned from last pg). The less I do, the better I feel (though sluggish).

I'll be back to doing laps of my lab in a few weeks. I did have grand plans of continuing running but I just hate it so much!

I can also recommend the 4head stick. I don't know how it works but it does!

Poppins27 · 12/08/2015 22:55

Great news Lara, how very exciting.

I had my booking in appt today, scan booked for 26th August! Can't wait now, wasn't expecting it until early Sept so feels like a little bonus I get it earlier!!

Well done to the exercisers, up to 5/6 weeks I was at the gym 3 or 4 times a week, then the exhaustion hit. I do feel alot better now and had planned on making it to the gym tonight but time ran away with me, must get back to it...feeling massively blobish!!

And yes to the 4head, it does bring alot of relief to nagging headaches, definitely recommend to fellow pill dodgers Smile

MyNameIsSuz · 13/08/2015 06:08

Ooh poppins, we have the same scan date! Two weeks!!

Ohwoolballs · 13/08/2015 06:29

Cor! I've got a bit of catching up to do!
Janine in the words of Joe Swanson, "Let's DO THIS." I'm chuffed to bits that you're at the same dates as me. Massive love Flowers

maybe I have a bit of a pot belly. DP is loving it (he's rather handsy, oo er) my appetitie has shrunk and I can barely eat my usual full meal but bloating continues!

MissDee ICE LOLLIES why the hell didn't I think of that?! I have a stash of boiled sweets that I am I've drooling over or pop one in my mouth and have to spit it out right away, my taste buds have gone nuts.

I'm currently sat at the train station eating dry cereal (from some kitchen roll in my pocket, classy) which is helping with the early morning quease.
Now I will try and not leave it 24 hours before checking this board again. Wink

JanineMelnitzGlasses · 13/08/2015 06:56

Ohwoolballs roll on next Wednesday! Hoping to get my scan date before my holiday. Going away with family & it'll be hard dodging the wine without a really good excuse!

Firmly off the exercise wagon here too! I exercised up to my due date with the first one but I haven't done any exercise since Easter! Feeling huge already (horrible bloated tummy) but running around after my crazy 2 yr old is keeping me on my toes!

Good luck anyone who has their scan today / tomorrow!

Me624 · 13/08/2015 07:59

I am not really one for exercise either Blush

I told a work colleague yesterday. I didn't mean to, it just slipped out. I'm 10+6 and have my scan next Friday, but spent all last night worrying that I've jinxed it. Which I know is utterly stupid. I don't have many symptoms to reassure me that everything's ok. Next Friday cannot come quick enough Sad

Missdee2014 · 13/08/2015 08:11

Good on all you exercises! I'm crap and don't exercise at all Hmm I did see a video of myself last night though and my face is like a big ball! I'm actually seriously considering joining slimming world through my pregnancy to try and minimise how massive I get and eat a healthy diet as my diet is terrible just now.

On another note, we told my dds last night and they were in floods of tears of happiness. I guess they aren't fussed about sharing a room when the baby arrives after all ???? they are so unbelievably excited. Just hope they can keep it a secret for another few weeks.
