beautiful bump pics please!!

I feel like I have a bump too but it's covered by a layer of belly podge unfortunately (am a size 12 usually). Anyone know when that will go/stretch out???

BeautifulLiar · 24/08/2015 14:25

Aagghh ok... but the only pic i have is one of me in my undies Blush I think it's popped out so soon as I've had three babies already.

Hard to say maybe... I think any time over the next few weeks as your uterus will rise and make your stomach firmer :)

BeautifulLiar · 24/08/2015 14:28

Ok it won't let me upload a pic! Strange... i noticed more today anyway as i tried on quite a tight vest top in primark (I'm wearing a floaty top today) and there was no hiding the bump! So low down bless it.

TriJo · 24/08/2015 15:13

This is my first and I think I popped a little bit at the weekend! I was wearing a long skirt on Saturday which has a very high waist and it looked quite obvious to me because of how the skirt was sitting. Quite noticeable in jersey too.

julesldn · 24/08/2015 15:23

I definitely have a little bump too which I can notice but to outsiders I think it just looks like I'm bloated/have had a big lunch - I want everyone to feel my tummy so they know the hard bit isn't me getting fatter haha!

Am I the only one that finds it really annoying you can't see pics on the app? I just ventured onto the laptop so I could see your pictures but it was so rubbish I gave up!!! Grrr technology!

Oh and I'm also 5"2 and imagine going to struggle with maternity clothes! Especially because I'm bloody skint ha!

MyNameIsSuz · 24/08/2015 15:37

I'm looking quite bumpy too, I think at the moment it's bloat though as it gets worse throughout the day. Last time I didn't show until 20 weeks!

maybebabybee · 24/08/2015 15:42

It does feel firm and hard right down near the bottom of my tummy - that's bump right?!

MyNameIsSuz · 24/08/2015 15:44

Yeah totally, mine's a bit hard at the bottom too, but I carry all my weight on my stomach so bit well covered at the moment and hard to tell Grin

maybebabybee · 24/08/2015 15:46

suz me too, my spare tyre is hiding it! Hope that will go soon.

BeautifulLiar · 25/08/2015 12:04

Yeah mine is firm and hard at the bottom too! So glad Mumsnet is back on... I've had withdrawal symptoms.

How is everyone today? Any scans?

maybebabybee · 25/08/2015 14:02

Yay, MN is back up! Can't believe some pathetic loser would even do this.

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 25/08/2015 14:16

Hi all

Re bumps - I just look like I've put on weight! I actually put on jeans today (instead of my usual leggings) and I looked like a sack of spuds! Cannot wait to actually have a bump!

Slowly getting my energy back, walked 2.5 miles today and not having to eat so much, but again in up and down everyday so tomorrow I could be feeling like crap again!

Scan on Friday couldn't come quick enough!

QforCucumber · 25/08/2015 14:27

No real bump here yet either. Did a pregnancy yoga video thing last night and slept better than I have in weeks, think I'll be keeping that up!
Keep getting a sharp pain through my left boob which is really irritating too.

marmitemofo · 25/08/2015 14:29

had my scan today and all well! here's my pic! baby was very wriggly, took ages to get photos/measurements. I didn't mind though as meant I got to watch baby bouncing around and kicking and moving arms. amazing!

For some reason I'm convinced I'm having a boy this time. Keep finding myself referring to baby as 'he'. I'm not under any illusions that I somehow know so I guess I have a 50/50 chance of being right! will know in 8 weeks when I have my next scan Smile

QforCucumber · 25/08/2015 14:53

Oh marmite congratulations that's such a beautiful picture!
Dp and I don't think we will find out the sex so it's juSt going to be baby for 7 more months haha

lilmissiehopeful · 25/08/2015 15:01

Congrats marmite! Gorgeous photo :-)

I'm on my way to my scan now. Can barely speak I'm so nervous!

maybebabybee · 25/08/2015 15:01

congrats marmite lovely pic :)

I've just started a thread on this but might as well ask here - I want to buy a sleepyhead pod (www.johnlewis.com/sleepyhead-deluxe-portable-baby-pod-white/p231482924) but can get it for half the price on ebay. Is this safe to buy secondhand? I know you're not supposed to buy mattresses second hand, is this the same sort of thing? Grateful for any advice!

Me624 · 25/08/2015 15:10

Great pic marmite! Good luck at your scan lilmiss!

IndomitabIe · 25/08/2015 15:16

Hello,

I've had nearly 24 hours without mn Shock I even started to read a book!

Lovely pic, marmite!

Been looking for jeans again today. I've now tried the two main cities in the region but can hardly find any maternity sections at all, let alone the jeans I want.

I'm looking for grey under bump skinny/straight jeans. Anyone seen any?

marmitemofo · 25/08/2015 15:30

you could try asos indomitable? they are online only but have a really good returns policy (completely free!). I often buy stuff from there and send it back if it doesn't fit or I don't like it on. They have a good maternity selection - I bought some skinny under the bump jeans from them when I was pregnant with DD and will probably buy some jeans from then again.

thanks for all the congrats for my scan pic. it's starting to feel a lot more real now! just wish my nausea would end Sad

good luck with you scan this afternoon lilmissGrin

TriJo · 25/08/2015 15:32

Gap have these ones?

BeautifulLiar · 25/08/2015 16:12

Oh marmite what a lovely picture, congratulations :) I'm shite at this but I do think your baby looks like a boy.

Wonder if there'll be any twins on this thread?!

Good luck littlemiss :)

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 25/08/2015 16:20

I'm going to do my research with maternity fashion, we are pretty tight for disposal cash at the moment and since dd was born I have bought very little as I was still overweight and wanted to get back in my old clothes - which never happened in the year! So I want some nice maternity pieces that won't cost the earth but will make me feel good about myself again as I've been feeling really down about the way I look! So any links to nice outfits for autumn / winter or some wardrobe essentials would be much appreciated! I'm rubbish at shopping at the best of times and being a 6ft size 16 oaf doesn't have me running to the changing rooms all excited ( more like fear)!

TriJo · 25/08/2015 16:30

There are early April twins on the April thread which will probably end up being March babies BeautifulLiar :)

Picnic I have the same shopping fear and I'm 5'5" and a size 10-12... I already made the concession to the pair of skinny jeans that's just about tight enough on my legs but was way too loose on the waist and stomach.

marmitemofo · 25/08/2015 16:37

I was wondering that about twins today.. odds are someone will be pregnant with twins (just glad it's not me tbh, could not cope financially at all!)

smirking you could always try ebay for second hand maternity wear if you are tight for cash? A little more risk than buying from a shop but you can get stuff so much cheaper.
