Thanks Suz, I'll have a look.

For coats, I wear one of DHs! (He has accumulated a few!) Wheb I was pg with DS it was that winter of 2010/11 when we had -12etc. DH had been mountaineering in Nepal earlier that year, so I had his lush down mountain coat. Which I'll bust out again as soon as we get to 7 degrees!

julesldn · 13/08/2015 21:50

MrsE - why don't you get your friend to join mumsnet? Smile She can do it online or on her phone so no different to facebook. Really helped/helps me when I'm feeling overwhelmed!

dobbythedoggy · 13/08/2015 22:22

Scan tomorrow at 10.30 can't wait for it to be over. Dd is rediculously excited, has caught on much more than I expected her to do. Keeps telling anyone who will listen the doctor is going to take a picture for her. Granddad is taking her out for a drive to one of the diy shops once his dropped us at the hospital.

Have well and truely broken out the maternity clothes her. Shopping for a few more bits on saturday too. Plan to get as much wear out of them as possable, can't stand being even slightly uncomfortable and don't want to live in my nighty.

Found newlook good for plain maternity clothes last time, do basic packs of t-shirts and noticed that they've done a big starter pack this time for a basic wardrobe. Last time I had to replace practical work uniform much sooner than I would have liked, got some good dresses from h&m. Don't have that problem this time around. Have ordered a cheep pair of jeans from an amazon seller to see what they are like. I invested in a maternity coat last time and wore it for ages after dd was born, found it fab for baby wearing too.

Been shopping in Milton Keynes this evening for posh wedding pants and a "hoik em up" bra. Cost a blinking fortune and I only get to wear thrm once Sad

DP is grinning like this Grin
I am looking like this Shock

My boobs have gone up from a F cup to a GG cup and just about into a H. I will be ringing the RAF for old parachutes soon! They are going to be huge...

Morning all. So I'm a bit mystified...decided to bite the bullet and weigh myself this morning. Fully expected to be appalled by the result as I feel like I've been eating non stop since my bfp. And not on grapes and carrot sticks either...toast, bagels, loads of stodgy stuff which keeps sickness at bay. And I've barely put on any weight???! Weird. And now I'm worrying of course. DH reckons it's because my body is working hard but surely all those carbs must have had some effect!

QforCucumber · 14/08/2015 08:30

Good luck today dobby
lilmiss don't forget your metabolism is heightened too so you'll be working it all off without working.
Just worked out 24 weeks today will be my last day at work haha - today is going to be a quiet day.

lilmisshopeful · 14/08/2015 08:35

Thanks Q. The body is an amazing thing isn't it.

I love figuring out how far gone I'll be on X occasion. There's a website I found which does a day by day thing of your pregnancy. By Christmas I'll be almost 30 weeks and on my birthday I'll be just gone 36 weeks and will only have 2 weeks left at work. Sweet :-)

Getting ahead of myself a bit there. Have booking in appt this morning, obstetrician tomorrow, and then just over week until 12 week scan. Time is going soooooo slowly!

Good luck dobby x

maybebabybee · 14/08/2015 08:37

lilmiss sounds like a good website, what is it?

BeautifulLiar · 14/08/2015 08:39

good luck dobby!

lilmiss - I'm going to weigh myself in a bit and report back
I've been eating non stop crap and stodge too so if I haven't pit much on then you're not the only one. Although I did have a dream last night that I'd put on half a stone... also dream cheated on DH a fair few times Shock

I also like seeing how far along I'll be at 'occasions'. Can't wait for Christmas but then I always get excited about it really early. All that fooood!

lilmisshopeful · 14/08/2015 08:40

It's www.pregnology.com

The website is a bit clunky esp from
a phone....you have to put in info to find your due date and then it gives you the option to see 'all the days of pregnancy' which brings up the very long list of dates and how many weeks/days gone you'll be from start to finish. I'm such a nerd-love that kind of thing!

lilmisshopeful · 14/08/2015 08:43

The other website I like is www.countdowntopregnancy.com

It has an 'extended due to date calculator' option...bit of a gimmick but it tells you stuff like when each trimester starts, when 'quickening' is likely to start, when baby is considered term between and what seasons you'll need maternity close for. So yes a total gimmick! But I love that sort of thing. Anything that even purports to tell you interesting info about the mysterious miracle happening inside you!

lilmisshopeful · 14/08/2015 08:48

beautiful I'm exactly the same with food. I had been supra healthy for the few months before getting pregnant. Lost a stone and had pretty much stopped eating wheat and dairy...not for any reason especially just I really got into eating loads of fruit and veg, not much meat, nothing processes etc. Since my bfp I am eating nothing but stodgy and lots of quite sweet food which I normally loathe. And getting such strong cravings for it - not just that I feel like I have an excuse to eat stodge. Just bizarre.

lilmisshopeful · 14/08/2015 08:48

Oops sorry three long posts from me there.

BeautifulLiar · 14/08/2015 09:12

I keep saying it's CRAZY how this tiny little thing in your body can just change you overnight.

I can't even look at certain foods now.

Rosieblossom123 · 14/08/2015 09:37

lilmiss thanks for the links the second one is really cool love knowing exact dates :)

Beautiful I can't even open my fridge it makes me gag badly even though DP said it doesn't smell, I really want to start eating properly but I'm struggling, I'm having soup everyday for lunch and its boring haha

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 14/08/2015 10:35

I got on the scales, put on 5lb in 3 weeks!! Canni wait til I can stop eating crap and get some decent food down me!

I thought my Ms was subsiding and started to worry that my symptoms were disappearing but then I nearly passed out in the shower, gagging furiously all the way to the kitchen and ended up in the living room, soaking wet in a towel eating chocolate! This baby has some lovely ways of telling me they are fine! Gah!

maybebabybee · 14/08/2015 10:52

Did we hear from everyone who had scans yesterday? Can't remember.

Hope all was well.

Me624 · 14/08/2015 11:41

I think Here was having a scan yesterday - any news Here?

I've just been on that website too! Although I got disappointed when it told me that I would not be into the second trimester until 28 August - I was thinking it would be next week when I hit the magical 12 weeks, but of course it's not until you get to the end of 12 weeks and go into week 13, damn!

Rosieblossom123 · 14/08/2015 11:53

Me same here my second trimester according to the website isn't until 2nd Sep :( hurry up second trimester haha

Have a look at spacefem I like that one too!!

spacefem.com/pregnant/calendar.php

Celen · 14/08/2015 13:38

Ha ha lilmiss, I'll admit to visiting www.countdowntopregnancy.com even before I got pregnant when I was imagining symptoms Blush
And I used to scroll through the pages & pages of hpt pictures, wishing I'd got my double lines! BlushGrin

lilmisshopeful · 14/08/2015 14:17

Same here celen - I used that website loads long before I was pg. every month after I got my period I'd look ahead to what my due date would be if I got pg the next month!

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 14/08/2015 15:44

Booking appointment all done. Had an armful of blood taken! MW rang scan department to book my scan while she was here so it is on 24th - thankfully before I go back to school.

MyNameIsSuz · 14/08/2015 17:10

Ooh I like those websites! I'm in my second trimester on the 3rd sept too, and full term on the day after dh's birthday. And it's going to open it's eyes on new year's eve, how nice!

Who do I need to pm about the Facebook group? I'm going to be brave. Doesn't mean I'll drop off here though, I'm a fiend for the mumsnet.

dobbythedoggy · 14/08/2015 17:20

Scan went well. Now have a due date of 2nd march. Baby was quite active.

Have a consultants appointment monday. Not sure what to expect as I was midwife led until 37 weeks last time when they finally identified dd as breech.

BeautifulLiar · 14/08/2015 19:15

Congrats dobby!

Today has been another "sat on a rocking boat" day Sad ugh I feel terrible. Does anyone else feel like it'll never end?
