Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 36th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 35th grads fred is here.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Ha ha Honey, sounds like this week's OBEM could be a classic! I didn't watch last week's as I wasn't sure I could handle the emotions. Ladies in tracksuits, drinking red bull and giving birth though? Perfect!

gaggiagirl · 05/08/2015 21:36

Trackie lady's situation was similar to mine spoiler warning
Midwife: Ooh your not ready to push for a while yet
Me: Waaaaaa I'm pushing
MW: No your not pet let me check....oh there's the head.

It was frigging awesome. I can't wait!!!

honeysucklejasmine · 05/08/2015 21:42

Pud a red velour "Juicy" tracksuit, no less!

SecondCupOfTea · 05/08/2015 21:44

Sky OMG, I've not been to Gordon's for ages (I guess it is one of those places that you take non-londoners to).

Also I've not had much mention of my age (42) making me high risk. My GP shrugged it off when I mentioned my age, although the gynea doc yesterday said I should start on low dose aspirin in a couple of weeks time (to reduce risk of pre-eclampsia).

5hell if I were you and your bleeding starts again, I'd go to a&e rather than faff about trying to get through to the epu. At least a&e should be able to refer you for a scan

pretzelpieces · 05/08/2015 21:52

Alright I'm watching last week's obem on catch up cause I've missed the beginning of this one. Prepare for total emotional breakdown...

Mummynatal tonight means I've not seen Bake Off or OBEM.
That's my Sky+ treats for tomorrow night Smile

I'm consultant led so I had booking with midwife then another couple of appts with her later on for asking questions. I need to go see her about my birthplan in a couple of weeks.
Otherwise it's consultant every 2 weeks now with a growth scan

Purpleball · 05/08/2015 21:58

Tea I'm high risk due to age, BMI and diabetes. Just age alone wouldn't make me consultant led though

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 05/08/2015 22:00

tea it was lovely and not too busy. We sat inside at the far end with a candle on our table. DD was with us and was marvelling at the place... She loves old things. I had to laugh because she spent a lot of time there asleep in her buggy back in the day when I was on mat leave. I always seemed to have out of towners to entertain then. I don't think I'm going to have the same life of leisure this time around!

Jcandy · 05/08/2015 22:02

GBBO-ing currently, might try and convince DP to OBEM afterwards. Had another enjoyable daisy birthing class this evening Smile I'm hoping it will help me sleep better tonight as I had an absolutely awful sleep last night (like 3 and a half hours awful)

oneyorkshirepud · 05/08/2015 22:11

Ooh JC you are doing classes already? I haven't even booked any, I keep meaning to do it, oops!

Niffertiti · 05/08/2015 22:16

Hello tri and welcome!

OBEM tonight was a great one, babies popping out all over the place. DH had a little cry as usual but so did I! Must be the hormones!

Weds night is clearly the night for mummy classes - I have preggie yoga too. This week was a bit more to my liking - more breathing a stretching, less chat and flapjack!Grin

deeplybaffled · 05/08/2015 23:30

Thanks, viroids, for the memory foam advice. We are renting a bed nest, so hoping that will lessen the problem a little, but suspect that there may still be more than a few occasions when baby d won't fancy it, so plenty to bear in mind!

5hell · 05/08/2015 23:42

i've been watching and semi-reenacting GBBO tonight as I'm making a wedding cake for friday (in my spare time!)...12 inch round battenberg, 10 inch vikky sponge and 8 inch lemon cake. Just need to ice them all tomorrow night!

standard in gbbo seems to have increased once again (this week anyway)

only saw a few minutes of OBEM (see above!) so will catch up another time, though not soon as I have friday's wedding, SIL BIL and nice/nephew arriving saturday, we are then kid sitting for a week and taking n+n to disneyland paris, before returning them to their folks next weekend...i'm tired just thinking about it! opps massive outing potential there!

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 06/08/2015 07:24

Morning all! Morning nausea! I'm not impressed about the latter. It's about three weeks earlier than it came on last time. Wtf is up with that?
Will have to watch Bake Off on Iplayer later as no tv. Give us non-techies a day or so to catch up, please? Smile so ridiculously excited I want to marry Sue and eat baked goods whilst lying together in a meadow for the rest of my life
I was wondering if we could add a column to the STATS list noting medical issues? There are a lot of us sharing similar things. Thinking about the discussions about thyroid issues and hypermobility and autoimmune and geriatric mothers (yup, you're classed medically geriatric once you're over 35 didn't ya know!) and diabetes and third nipples. Might be nice to have a column where we can cf as I've sort of already forgotten Blush who has what. What do you think?

oneyorkshirepud · 06/08/2015 07:58

Sounds like a good idea Auf, people can add in what they are happy to share.

Also watching GBBO later on catch up but I dreamt that I had seen the episode last night, in which a man made an armadillo shell, complete with decorations, out of biscuit, and proceeded to crawl around the tent wearing it. There were two bake fails and two ladies were RUDE. It was amaze and now I think the real episode might not be as good!! considers putting 'complete mentalist' in the new columns on the stats sheet

Who is doing a baby next?

honeysucklejasmine · 06/08/2015 08:02

indigo should be popping any day now. Yay for more babies!

Jcandy · 06/08/2015 08:19

Yeah pud I thought it would be a good idea to do something for me that helps me bond with the baby, gets me out the house and helps me to relax. So far it's been great! Thinking of booking up for next term too.

I had happy tears at OBEM last night, especially when I realised I'd be having one of those Smile it's starting to feel more real!

gaggiagirl · 06/08/2015 08:37

OBEM was brilliant last night. I loved the lady who did a baby then went oops sorry!

TriJo · 06/08/2015 08:44

I think I need to start making my husband watch OBEM... he's a great man for recording it and telling me to watch it when he goes to bed! Hospitals freak him out a bit but I'm a dork for all things medical.

Purpleball · 06/08/2015 08:47

My husband refuses to watch OBEM, I worry he has no idea what to expect at all but he's been to antenatal and parenting class and I bought him a book - can't really do anymore than that.
He will do the skin to skin if I'm not able to after the section Smile

Adding medical conditions is fine with me - old and diabetic here Grin

jellypi3 · 06/08/2015 08:48

Not watched OBEM yet. Still never seen GBBO.

My own perfume is making me feel sick today. This is not good.

ThursdayLast · 06/08/2015 09:05

Oh yippee, my MW just booked me in for next week Smile

ThursdayLast · 06/08/2015 09:06

Oh yes jelly I could have happily murdered DH after swanning off in a cloud of his revolting deodorant without opening the window Angry

gaggiagirl · 06/08/2015 09:08

Hi Tri congratulations and welcome!

honeysucklejasmine · 06/08/2015 09:13

DH made me a bacon sandwich this morning. Yum.
