I just got a letter from the maternity hospital saying that I need to have my blood test repeated and I should go in within the next week.

Freaking out as the letter contains no other info and I don't know whether this is to do with the fact I'm rhesus negative or what.

I had the original tests done on 28th July so why are they only contacting me about it now Sad Sad

RattyCatty · 19/08/2015 11:54

nomontagues it's probably an error at their end otherwise they would have explained. Either they lost it or it was mislabelled etc. I'm sure of it.

CalypsoLilt · 19/08/2015 12:01

montagues yeh definitely cock up with the blood tests, they probably dropped it or got lost or something. If you're super worried just phone and ask.

Thanks every for the Italian names, going to be honest, not loving any of them :( this name game could be tricky. The only name I like is Alfonso and purely so we can call him Fonzy Grin I really liked Oscar until yesterday when I saw it in the top 10, instant veto.

I'm off to Italy tomorrow to meet the in-laws for the FIRST TIME. Wish me luck!

CalypsoLilt · 19/08/2015 12:02

oh PS signed up for NCT today in a town nearby that's really posh (nothing like where I actually live); hoping it's not full of fox hunting Tories :(

NoMontagues · 19/08/2015 12:14

Thanks guys. ratty I do remember when the midwife was writing my hospital number on the vials she said something like "ooh.... there's such a lot of zeros in your number" and I told her it was the same number that I was assigned 15 years ago for DD. So maybe I distracted her.

Anyway I'm going to go in first thing tomorrow and try to put it out of my mind for this afternoon.

clarabellski · 19/08/2015 12:29

Calypso if you don't mind me asking, how much is the NCT course? I can't see any prices on their website. We've got classes booked in at our local maternity unit run by the NHS, but was wondering if we should also go to NCT courses to perhaps find some local fellow parents to make friends with. Most of my friends with kids don't live locally to me or will be at a different stage.

CalypsoLilt · 19/08/2015 12:44

clara prices differ throughout the country so you need to get in touch with them to find out. I'm not sure how much the one I've signed up to is, I've a vague recollection it's £180-£220. You can pay in instalments and you can get discounts if you are on a low income.

CalypsoLilt · 19/08/2015 12:59

clara that's exactly why I signed up, I know it seems like a lot of money, but I really don't know anyone in the area other than work colleagues.

I've heard the NHS courses are good for information but I feel like I need extra support because we've got no local grandparents.

clarabellski · 19/08/2015 13:03

Thanks Calypso! Cake

By the way all, not sure if you saw the post about the mumsnet site being hacked but as a precaution you may all want to change your passwords.

NoMontagues · 19/08/2015 13:39

It's a forced password change so everyone will have to do it- old passwords no longer work.

Did you all hear about the SWAT team turning up as JustineMumsnet's house? Scary stuff.

Rufus200 · 19/08/2015 13:42

Are you signing up for NCT to start them now or to start when you are 30+ weeks? I thought you didn't start until you were nearing your due date? I was thinking November?

jellypi3 · 19/08/2015 14:08

i've signed up now because they get booked really quickly apparently, i've heard a few people left it until 20+ weeks to book and didn't get a space on NCT.

My first class is end of november.

NoMontagues · 19/08/2015 14:34

Re the hack- if you check on pg 11 of this thread there is a full list of hacked usernames.

banana I think you're on it my love. I haven't checked anyone else's. Just happened to notice banana.

clarabellski · 19/08/2015 14:51

I was on it montagues Blush

I'd heard that too Jelly so guess need to make a decision one way or another in next couple of weeks. Meh...

Anyone else's appetite came back BIG TIME? I'm ravenous this week!

NoMontagues · 19/08/2015 14:57

I wish we had something like nct here in Ireland. Well, we have the NCT but it's the national car test, which is no good to me.

I don't need antenatal stuff but it would be nice to be in a group with other mums in the area.

I weighed myself recently clara and I've put on 4 kilos in the last couple of weeks. I keep eating rubbish because it's the easiest thing Blush

CalypsoLilt · 19/08/2015 15:03

rufus same as jelly, I've signed up now because I heard places fill up quickly. I'll be 32 weeks by then. Yikes!

jellypi3 · 19/08/2015 15:07

yeah im moving to a totally new area too so it'll be nice to meet new people in the area with the baby

clarabellski · 19/08/2015 15:11

I've not been on the scales since booking in montagues. I'm going to wait until the morning, no clothes on etc!

heads off to cake tin for another biscuit

BananaRaces · 19/08/2015 15:11

NoMontagues, yes I am indeed on "the list". I changed my password for Mumsnet (and another site which I was using the same password for) this morning. Should be all good now... I think... It's so ruddy confusing!! Confused

NoMontagues · 19/08/2015 15:16

I already changed loads of mine yesterday and I'm not even on the blooming list!

This is because I had no idea what my mumsnet password was, it could have been one of several. If I ever got logged out I would just try a few until one worked. VERY SILLY of me.

Anyway, at least it's given me a chance to cop on to myself and sort different passwords across the net.

CalypsoLilt · 19/08/2015 15:51

Do you think we will feel baby kicking/moving before our 20 week scans? It's been nearly 2 weeks since my first scan and it's starting to feel like it was just a dream :(

I'm a bit worried to sign up to NCT before 20 week scan on 24tb sept... I'm in South London does anyone know if it'll be super busy there too?
