Great news over you must be really relieved.

Grin at 'fanny daggers' Clara. Last time it used to feel like a needle in my cervix- ouch!
That fizzing sounds a lot like early movement.

Jelly my 20w scan is the day after yours - counting down the days here too!

MayFlowers16 · 17/08/2015 20:42

Nice pic gone. Yes, no news should mean good news. Smile My letter took a good couple of weeks.

IslaMann · 17/08/2015 21:14

Bollox. Since the ONS baby name list has been published today, DH says we have to reconsider our girls name choice. I love the name and now he doesn't want to use it coz its in the top 10.

ATrueNerd · 17/08/2015 21:53

So SO happy for you Over!! You must be over the moon xx

ATrueNerd · 17/08/2015 21:57

I haven't heard anything since my scan either so I'm hoping that means all is ok.. Can't wait to get the letter though to be sure. Had a letter today but it was just bloody glucose test appointments, they are going to keep on testing me until I have it apparently.

IslaMann · 17/08/2015 22:27

Oh Over what awesome news!

Isla just go for it! If it is in the top ten then it proves you have excellent taste!

I couldn't believe the number of Game of Thrones babies!

I hope you get your results soon goneswimming

jellypi3 · 18/08/2015 09:09

wasn't there something like 17 Tyrion's born last year....that's just mental!

StockingFullOfCoal · 18/08/2015 09:25

My 2 favourite girls names aren't in the Top 50, wahooo. My 2 favourite boys names are. 1 is Top 20 and the other is in the 40's.

It was my second wedding anniversary yesterday. H emailed me. It was a rather horrible day all round.

I am caving and going for laxatives today, its been a week and I feel awful. The pain isn't subsiding and I'm almost out of codeine. Sob.

over that's wonderful, don't know how I missed your post, been thinking about you a lot.

haquoi123 · 18/08/2015 09:56

Fab news gone and lovely pic!!

raviolig that sucks, I'm sorry she was so rough. Did they say anything about what the bleed means?

mayo, another sucky sonographer! I hate it when they talk down to you. Fingers crossed for you!

stocking I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. Hopefully the laxatives will help a little - get the shit out, mind clears a tad...?? Hmm no, I mean in terms of solving one problem to help with the management of the rest. Thinking of you today.

It was dh's bday yesterday and I rested all weekend to save energy for it. Aaand paying for it today, headache, eye ache, little nausea. At least it's all becoming predictable! And yesterday was worth it, we paddled /swam in the lake, had pancakes, went to see Inside Out (sooo good) and I poisoned myself by eating an entire large box of salt popcorn. So I deserve today, sorry baby!

Just had a call from the FMU at the hospital. They're going to do my Amniocentesis on the 1st of September (2 weeks today), so we should get the first results on the 3rd or the 4th of next month (all crossed fingers greatly appreciated). God it feels like an age away... Just need to keep taking one day at a time, I've got through 5 days already like that. Smile

Also, forgot to mention that I had a letter yesterday about my blood results which said I am also anaemic and the midwife is putting me on iron tablets. This makes a lot of sense out of why I have been getting so knackered and short of breath all the time since the start of the 2nd trimester. Hopefully the iron tablets will make me feel a bit more human.

CalypsoLilt · 18/08/2015 16:52

I'm looking for Italian names if has an good ones?

I've just discovered that we all need 70g of protein a day, and since I've lost my appetite (I'm 14+2) I've invested in some protein powder to make some energy "balls" with; will let you know how I get on.

raviolig · 18/08/2015 17:52

Haquoi no they didn't say what the bleed means. She said they can see it, it's 3.5 cm but separate from the baby. She said it means there is a chance I will start bleeding. I asked at what stage I need to worry and she said if I noticed blood to speak to my midwife.
Today has been hard. I have got a bug, sore throat, headache and dripping nose. Not good.
Fingers crossed for you banana xxx

monkerina · 18/08/2015 17:57

Hello ladies! Haven't been on for a while because I found the wait for 12-week scan quite stressful as the hospital left it very late... lovely to see the scans, good results and newbies though Flowers

Finally had my scan this afternoon, dates moved up so I'm 13+5 and pic attached. Baby didn't really want to cooperate with scan, mostly lay with its back to the probe and just wiggled a bit, so a tentative nuchal measurement of 2.4mm which I'm reasonably happy about. Just about ready to believe that this might actually happen! Smile

Wonderful news monk!

That's great that you've finally got an appointment banana, fingers crossed.

calypso I've taught around five hundred Italian children over the years and my mind went blank after reading your post! I'll have a think! Ludovica, Vittoria, Valeria, Lorenzo, Andrea, Giulia, Elena, Enrico, Davide - these are the ones I can remember, not the ones I liked (apart from ludovica)

We're due to go out for a meal to meet a friend we haven't seen for a year, but the restaurant chosen serves Indian food, which usually I love but the baby hates. My stomach has been churning at the thought all day :(

Lovely pic monk!

banana I'm glad you have a date to focus on. That will fly around. Fingers crossed for you that all is ok.

Eating out in rural France is proving tricky. I'm not normLly fussy at all (I eat anything) but the local penchant for pink duck, smelly cheese & cured meats is tricky!

haquoi123 · 18/08/2015 23:06

Ricardo, Stefano, Gaia, Chiara, Alessia, Alessandro, Tommaso, Filipo, Nicolo, Nicola (masculine), Matilde, Anais (not sure if that's italian), Pietro, Gianluca....

Good morning everyone,

Cute scan pic monkerina!

Finally told my boss this morning. He was very nice about it. Phew!

Loving the Italian names! My OH works with a Fabio and a Stefano. Sounds so much more glamorous than the English equivalents!
