So sorry to hear that Just x

maybebabybee · 28/07/2015 08:29

so sorry to hear your news just, thinking of you and I can second whoever recommended the MC boards on here, I found them a great source of support.

maybebabybee · 28/07/2015 08:30

I seem to have got into the habit at the moment of getting out of bed, dry heaving 3 times for no apparent reason and then feeling relatively ok nausea-wise for the rest of the day Hmm. It's so ridiculous I'm not completely sure I'm not making it happen!!

Trinpy · 28/07/2015 09:50

Sorry to hear your news just. Hope you're ok Thanks.

marmitemofo · 28/07/2015 10:11

sorry to hear your news just Thanks

welcome crispy

I feel your pain beautiful. DP has been away since Saturday, and isn't back till next Saturday.. DD is teething and so pooing like mad which is not mixing well with my nausea - 5 poos on Sunday and two already this morning, I very nearly vommed this morning when I opened her nappy. ugh. managed to get in only twenty minutes late to work this morning, so better than yesterday!

sickness seems to be very on/off the past couple of days, it fades and then comes back with a vengeance. this is normal right? I think it was like that when I was pregnant with DD but can't help worrying Confused

Poppins27 · 28/07/2015 10:14

Hoping for some advice please, I'm 7+5 today and noticed a drop of bright red blood in the toilet, slight pinky tinge when I wiped (sorry tmi but there's no avoiding it), I've been wearing a st since and there's a bit of browny discharge (again apologies!!) on there now. I think I have mild period type pains, but can't be completely sure I'm not imagining them to fit the rest of what's going on?!

I know spotting can be completely normal and nothing to worry about but never had this with Dd1.

If it continues do you know who I ring to discuss it with, GP or midwives, even though I haven't had my booking in appt yet?!

Thanks in advance!

JanineMelnitzGlasses · 28/07/2015 10:21

Do you have an early pregnancy unit nearby poppins? GP and midwives typically advise you to wait and see as there is nothing they can do at this early stage. The EPU can book you in for a scan and then offer a follow-up scan (usually around 10 days later) if your scan is inconclusive. Sorry you're experiencing this so early on but hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

maybebabybee · 28/07/2015 10:23

Poppins I think it depends on your area - I know with me when I had this last pregnancy I went to GP and they immediately referred me to the EPU.

I'm quite shocked to hear that in other areas GPs would advise to watch and wait tbh, I've always been referred straight to EPU. It's most likely absolutely fine, but you'd still need it checked out.

Poppins27 · 28/07/2015 10:25

Thank you Janine, there's one a few miles away, had a quick google but it doesn't say anything about self referring unless experience of previous miscarriage (which I haven't had). That's what made me wonder who if anyone I run it by now?!

julesldn · 28/07/2015 10:27

So sorry to hear your news Just ???? take care

Beautiful - our housework has also been put to the side and we don't even have a DC to give us an excuse! It's really hard when you're tired and nauseous to keep up with it all so you're not the only one! Just trying to get back on top of it this week so it's easier to manage. Desperately in need of a cleaner...

Poppins - sorry I'm not much help at all as its my first pregnancy but I would definitely call your GP and explain to reception you've had some bleeding and they should be able to tell you what to do. Better to be safe. Hope all is O.K for you! Xx

maybebabybee · 28/07/2015 10:28

poppins I would call your GP. They will refer you to the EPU. Or they ought to, anyway - at this stage they should be diligent about checking it's not ectopic, so I'd be really surprised if they didn't check it out.

JanineMelnitzGlasses · 28/07/2015 10:29

Based on what maybebaybee has said then perhaps try your GP for a referral? In Manchester St. Mary's is mainly self referral and has a walk-in emergency epu. The midwives don't usually refer you unless you fall under central Manchester catchment. It's different everywhere though.

JanineMelnitzGlasses · 28/07/2015 10:32

Actually poppins I'd call the EPU anyway and ask if they need a referral for you to be seen, then if you do you can contact your GP.

Poppins27 · 28/07/2015 10:39

Thank you all, really hope I'm not over reacting (or that maybe I am if that makes sense?!) I'll ring the GP as can't find a number for the EPU.

Kittykitty05 · 28/07/2015 10:44

Poppins I'd also cut out the middle man and just call the epu. If they can take a self referral they'll sort you an appointment straight away. If they send you back via gp, nothing is lost but a phone call. Hope you can get some reassurance soon

Indomitable · 28/07/2015 10:49

Oh no, poppins, sounds scary. Hope you get some reassurance at the EPU.

I'm not feeling sick yet today, but my tummy hurts! Like after you've had a bug, that generally achey sensitiveness. Do you think rennies or something might settle it? (I haven't got actual heartburn yet)

QforCucumber · 28/07/2015 11:08

Good luck poppins hope all is ok.

Indomitable possibly stretchy muscle ache? god knows.

Don't feel sick at all today which worries me, very very gassy though keep burping loads. It's awful that we can't not worry and just enjoy this time, wish there was a way of just knowing if things were ok or not rather than having to faff with pregnancy units etc.
My friend offered me a doppler thingy yesterday but I said no, I know if i didn't find a heartbeat I'd be terrified.

maybebabybee · 28/07/2015 11:11

Qfor I don't think that you'd be able to hear a heartbeat at our stage of pregnancy with a doppler anyway, I think they're for later stages...at least 16 weeks.

Indomitable · 28/07/2015 12:20

Q I don't think it's muscular per se, more unhappy intestines.

QforCucumber · 28/07/2015 12:35

Indomitable ooo, definitely feel for you then, rennies or tums something similar may help? It's crazy how your digestive system plays havoc in early pregnancy.

maybe glad I said no then, I didn't look any further into it except to just tell her thanks but no thanks as don't want the panic. really fancy a cheese and ham panini today for lunch but brought tomato soup so feeling a little disappointed.

Herewegoagain31 · 28/07/2015 13:03

Is anyone else having really weird vivid dreams at the moment?

Herewegoagain31 · 28/07/2015 13:03

Also very sorry to hear your news just x

Cherrytoes · 28/07/2015 13:08

Welcome suz and crispy! I too was told we would need ivf so to find myself pregnant is somewhat a miracle and I'm still not convinced there's actually anything in there!!

So sorry to hear your news justnapping

Well I am SO glad to hear it's not just me who's nausea seems to come and go. Yesterday I worked myself into a frenzy because I didn't feel at all sick, ended up deliberately not eating dinner till much later just to convince myself I was still nauseous when hungry.

Maybe, how strange but I've been doing just that too - dry heaving a few times but then wondering if it's just in my head making me do it!

Jules, any news on your bloods? Everything crossed for you in sure if it was anything to worry about they would ask to see you rather than a phone appointment

Q, im burping like crazy! But strangely enjoying this as its my only consistent symptom :|

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 28/07/2015 14:48

Hello All

Gosh you miss a few days and there is looooaaaaaaaaaads to catch up on!

Thankfully my spotting was an isolated incident and my morning sickness is still here - urgh! Feeling very tired today at 7+5 and left it too long between eating this morning so making lunch for dd was a challenge, gagging something rotten! I have become somewhat lax in that department and a bit random. Today we have a cheese sandwich, corn rings, alphabet speghetti and a ginger biscuit (with little bits of nutella on it as she was eyeing up the blob I was eating off my spoon!) I've got some curly fries cooking as snack, building up the energy to actually shower today and go to the post office - in the car of course, not wasting valuable energy walking!

Hope everyone is well, my pil are coming to look after dd tomorrow, more to entertain her than give me a rest, I feel so bad for her knocking around the house whilst I lie there!

I can't remember what book I read but when the baby actually I arrived I didn't read anything again, just sort of went with the flow! My husband had the survival for dads book and loved it though!

LCR77 · 28/07/2015 15:05
