Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 33rd grads fred is here.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Your fanny updates are almost as exciting as birth updates Indigo ha ha!

How are you doing La?

So another glamorous topic from me - this time: poo. I know, I am one sexy mofo Before I got upduffed I had IBS. Mostly stress induced and exacerbated by caffeine/too much fruit. I had IBS of the no pooing variety. This was obviously quite uncomfortable and very time consuming! It was generally v well managed by diet though, mostly just ate veg. Anyway, since getting upduffed I have felt so much better, which is GREAT! I can eat lots of fruit and if I need to poop, I poop! (You have no idea how exciting this is). Anyway over the last week or so, I have had a lot of urgency. When I have got to go, I've GOT to go. Immediately. I've always been at home so it's been fine so far but I am a but scared it might happen elsewhere. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the baby squishing my bowel or something?

(Tries to think of something more glamorous to post...)

SecondCupOfTea · 21/07/2015 11:40

Indigo whilst it seems so wrong for this to keep popping into my head, I can't help thinking that you must be developing an awesome capacity for some quite impressive fanny farts Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 21/07/2015 11:45

Hooray for first appointment carrot! Smile Definitely see dentist - my gums are fucked since I've been pregnant and you're very susceptible to gum disease. Mine bleed constantly.

Indigo - it's in my birth plan that I don't want placenta injection. If it doesn't come out within certain timeframe it's then retained and you then have to have it removed with more rummaging. I thought I'd rather just let it come.

Saying that though I reckon I will do exactly as pis and ga just said, get to that point and just want it DONE! So if it's not coming quickly I'll probably go for managed.

Purple - not sure what the opinion is on cord ties at hospitals here, apparently it's quite common where fatty is

Toast - have you signed up for antenatal classes? Because all of this stuff is covered so you hopefully will get all the info you're after there.

GBS - nhs don't test as standard because their test is not accurate enough. The private one costs £35 and you do it around 36/37 weeks. It's very easy

Indigo - BUCKET!!!

LaLaLaaaa · 21/07/2015 11:47

Purple in our antenatal class we were told placenta is removed as part of CS but don't quote me!

Tea - ha ha ha haaaaaaa! Like a trumpet!!!

Pud - yes, baby is squishing everything. Wait til 40 weeks when you gotta go you gotta go!!!

Indigoblue2 · 21/07/2015 12:43

Guys I think it's more of a French horn Smile

Pisghetti · 21/07/2015 12:44

Pud I didn't have issues before pregnancy but yes I had that feeling of having to go straight away when I needed to go! I posted about it at the time and some of the viroids recognised the feeling so it seems to be a pregnancy thing! Funnily enough there were a number of ladies on the March antenatal thread that found their IBS pretty much disappeared through pregnancy.

Yes Fatty made her own - I'd not heard of it before? Purple as I understand it the amniotic fluid is removed as is the placenta but the lochia isn't there in a pool to be suctioned out but comes away from the uterus wall as it contracts back down and also the placenta leaves an open wound from which you'll get blood and clots (naice!) hence why you'll still need mat pads post CS. I don't know if you'll have less bleeding perhaps than with a vaginal birth? I felt like I lost loads over the first 24hrs.

Indigoblue2 · 21/07/2015 12:44

la think I'm going to put the same, physiological and then injection of nothing is happening after a while.

Thanks guys!

couldntbebothered · 21/07/2015 12:49

Purple the placenta and waters are removed during the CS but you will still have lochia afterwards

ZylaB · 21/07/2015 12:52

purple they give you as good a 'clean out' as they can, but you do still get lochia, so what pis said really! I bled for 6 weeks :/

CarrotPuff · 21/07/2015 13:07

La I was actually wondering about gums - mine seem to flare up and get itchy and swollen, esp at the bottom where wisdom teeth should be. I know they can bleed during pg, but never thought they get do sensitive. I don't remember this with DS, but I did have v painful swollen gums with last pg that I mc.

Indigo I wanted delayed clamping and physiol 3rd stage but I started bleeding so they had to cut the cord and do injection. Even then it wouldn't come out so they had to drag it out pretty much Confused I must admit this was the worst part of my labour!

batfish · 21/07/2015 13:13

Docs appt tomorrow, is there anything we should be asking at this point seeing as I'm coming up to 30 weeks? He doesn't really volunteer info but I don't know if that is just because there isn't anything we need to decide at this stage. I am having anti D injection tomorrow and was going to ask about strep B - he delivers at 2 hospitals so need to decide which one so maybe will ask him his opinions on them. We have been having appts every 4 weeks up to now so if that carries on then next one could be at 34 weeks which seems a bit late to still be blissfully clueless!

honeysucklejasmine · 21/07/2015 13:13

I've got to say, with the last few posts I feel like I don't know anything! Bring on antenatal classes! Although I must say I really don't care what happens, as long as baby is healthy and I'm not mutilated!

jellypi3 · 21/07/2015 13:17

Hi folks! Back from the scan, all well :) got a bouncing bean in there! Waved its arms around like mad. NT was 1.8 which I think is good, so happy with that. I've been moved forward 2 days so am 12+5 today and due date of 28th Jan :)

Oh, and a piccy Wink

ChatEnOeuf · 21/07/2015 13:19

I've had physiological third stage both times. With DD it was a good 20 minutes so the MW did some gentle pulling, but with TinyChat it flew out like a rocket straight away. Very weird feeling both times!

Purple When they open the uterus they break the waters and suction the amniotic fluid out (presuming they haven't already gone), then deliver the baby, then the placenta and op-associated gubbins, then sew you back up. Where the placenta has been is like a wound, so it will bleed until it is healed. Four weeks and almost 6 weeks here. Type of delivery doesn't seem to influence.

DulcetMoans · 21/07/2015 13:20

Great jelly, happy days! I bet you are mega relieved to have it all done. Hey jellybean!!

Yeah, all my insides are along out purple. Placenta is taken out but they did delay cord clamp at my hospital still.

My plan was physiological though indigo, I couldnt see much of a negative since you can get the jab quickly if needed.

ChatEnOeuf · 21/07/2015 13:20

Ooh! Jelly that's a fab pic - lovely news :)

Toast85 · 21/07/2015 13:20

Woah 9 cm!!

Yep I have nct starting in a few weeks and NHS in September too, just a keen bean to know the answers class swot

Well this morning I've finished my book, stared mindlessly at some TV, and just woken up from an hour and a half nap. Still feel like crap but hey this is why I am off work sick. Going to venture downstairs and see what I can glean from the cupboards for lunch, I may have all the glamour of a sweaty snotty rag doll but I do also have my appetite.

honeysucklejasmine · 21/07/2015 13:26

Jelly that's lovely! I am amazed that babies go from the grey blob I saw to a recognisable baby in four weeks! Incredible!

Did MrJelly go to? Was it exciting? Did he cry?

Toast85 · 21/07/2015 13:28

Oh I missed some posts there!
Congrats jelly!!
Bat I have my 28wk appt this week and plan to ask about whooping cough vaccine, as I haven't been told anything about that yet- don't know if that's needed where you are though.
I've also got a few questions about GBS- mainly what they will do if I have private test that comes back +ve as I've heard not all trust will accept private test results anyway.

jellypi3 · 21/07/2015 13:29

Thanks :) he did go, no tears but my nan came and she cried when she saw the baby lol. Was very cute

CarrotPuff · 21/07/2015 14:06

Aww jelly that's so cute! Congrats!

Toast sorry you feel so rubbish, I hope it passes soon Flowers

My nausea has subsided although I still feel a bit groggy. Contemplating a cheese toastie with pickles for lunch!

pretzelpieces · 21/07/2015 14:07

jelly I am so pleased for you that all was well. Also well jelly (see what I did there!) that you've been moved forward two days as I expect to be moved back three and then it feels like I'll have to do those three days of pregnancy again! I know that doesn't make sense because they all arrive at different times anyway, and really I'm just desperately hoping that everything is okay and my nervous brain is making thoughts shoot off in all different directions!!

pud my IBS had been much better but has been worse during pregnancy. It's always been partly triggered by hormones so I think that's why. So I am getting urgent diarrhoea and constipation! It's like Russian roulette, but with poo. Shock

DulcetMoans · 21/07/2015 14:26

Another BFP over there?

ga, I weighed myself. I am thoroughly disappointed. I squeeze out a 10lb (well, surgeon did) and I've only lost 11lb. How is that possible?! I guess I have mainlined sugar since as a pain relief...

Lookingforadvice123 · 21/07/2015 14:28

Great pic jelly! You're similar to me at my dating scan, I was brought forward 2 days making me 12+5 on the day of the scan and my NT was 1.9mm at the largest measurement. I had the Down's syndrome screening and I came back low risk Smile

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 21/07/2015 14:44

Hallo gradroids!
Blood test confirmed today, so we are in initial lift-off mode. Hurra-ay!
I'll be mostly lurking as I am at least a gazillion weeks away from anything useful happening.
dulcet your breasts have probably increased in weight since the boy arrived, so count at least 4lb back. Grin
lovely pic jelly. I see the bean has your wavy lines!
After my DC I bled for about four weeks. I minded that less than how much it burnt when I peed for about the same time. :/
indigo FWIW I had DC stay on the cord for about 15 minutes until it slowed down with the pulsating. Then we clamped, DH cut it, and I got a shot to hasten the placenta so I could get out of the pool as the water was getting chilly. It came about a minute or two after the shot into an ice cream container the midwife dug out from the kitchen cupboard. Then I had tea. That last part was great. Grin
