Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Still awake!

Toast85 · 03/07/2015 05:56

Morning all.
Ooh ga, terrifying! Just wondered what happens when it hits, like bangs/flashes etc. so did it cause damage (other than breaking your telly stuff?)

Who is using a pregnancy pillow here? I know I've asked about them before, sorry. I go to sleep on my left but tend to kick my pillow between my knees away during the night and roll over onto my right, and end up with my top leg falling forwards which means I'm halfway onto my front by the time I wake up. Keep thinking this can't be a great position for baby, all squished under me. I've just been googling and the dream genii looks good as its under you so you can't kick it away so easily, and has support both sides of you. But Amazon reviews are pretty mixed! Does anyone actually have one and how do you find it?

La.. Yep 25 weeks tomorrow. Eek! Time flies until the end of the third trimester right?

ZylaB · 03/07/2015 06:23

la I haven't used my sling for the last few days cos of the heat, but H is nearly sitting, or at least trying to, so I just carry her then sit on the floor with her or put her on my knee so a bit more air can get around her :)

batfish · 03/07/2015 06:52

ga at Christmas there was a massive storm at SILs house and a house just on the next street to them also lost its roof and set on fire, it was awful! Weather is a scary thing!

toast I have a bump nest pillow, it is full length on one side which I think is supposed to be in front of you so it can go between your knees and then half on the other side. I love it as always used to go to sleep on my stomach and end up on my back and this keeps me on my side. The only thing is that I'm starting to feel I could do with a bit of support under my tummy and it's quite fat so I'm not sure how that is supposed to work, you can move the stuffing around inside it so maybe I need to make a flatter bit there.

DulcetMoans · 03/07/2015 07:26

toast, I have the dream genii but never got on with it. la loves hers though. I have had more recent success with my self titled 'human hotdog' set up which just requires two spare pillows either side of you to wedge you in. It does mean no contact with your DP though as it's like a little fort!

Oh, and we are using reusables. Even in the research la talked about it identifies that if you use them for subsequent children, or use secondhand , then they do make a positive environmental impact. We have the reusable nappy network here toast which is community led and I got lots from there to try first for 50p or £1 each. Can see what works first then.

I don't know if I would call it eczema pud, not something I normal suffer from, but my skin is crazy dry all pregnancy. Hair and nails are amazing but at the sacrifice of skin. 'They' say that a girlby steals your beauty so maybe it's a sign!

Started my pregnancy play list yesterday. I have two: a calm and an active. Worried calm is a bit depressing at the moment so need to revisit! Don't want to be all introspective as I am trying to push a baby out!

I used my last pregnancy vitamin yesterday, it's not worth buying more is it? It's only in there another three weeks tops! Surely it's got everything it needs. Still have my iron to take.

batfish · 03/07/2015 07:45

la or anyone else who copied the list.....would you kill me if I asked you to post the baby shopping list? Grin

oneyorkshirepud · 03/07/2015 07:48

Well if it is a girl and she is stealing my beauty then she is going to be an absolute stunner as I look like a right munter at the moment!!!!

batfish · 03/07/2015 07:55

Haha pud pregnancy is a delight hey! I don't feel like I look particularly horrendous but I'm definitely not glowing, where is my thick glossy hair??!

Purpleball · 03/07/2015 08:02

I love my dream genii. I got one on Las recommendation and I've taken it to every hotel too.

I was glad it was cooler last night though. Thankfully we put a ceiling fan in when we moved it Smile

I've had some itchy skin but no eczema. My bedside table also contains gaviscon, water and tissues. So far no leaky boobs fortunately.

gaggiagirl · 03/07/2015 08:08

toast yeah like a big flash and a horrible loud noise and a rumble sort of thing.
Well at least I can say that lightening struck my house!

WilHarlot · 03/07/2015 08:14

Gaggia that's mental!!

I always meant to use reusable nappies buy somehow just never got round to it. Now I just refuse to make my day any harder than it needs to be. But wish I'd done it with number 1.

teejayem · 03/07/2015 08:43

We had a near miss with a strike in the plains three years ago, hit the ground between the two chase cars, shorted all the electrics out on both, the noise!! Prober shotgun stuff.

We aren't using disposables. We're changing about 8-10 nappies a day at the moment and don't have a tumble dryer, plus our washing machine is ancient and I can't afford to replace it if we wreck it by using it all the time. We're going through a lot more laundry anyway and I'm paranoid it'll pack up! I'd consider possibly when TT is a bit older and less poopy, but at the moment even getting a wash on one handed is difficult, let alone a freight of much needed nappies!
I've got the Caboo la - I've been using it in the mornings before it gets too hot for about an hour so I can water plants, put washing out, unload dishwasher. We had a short walk the other day in it, but it's just too hot for long-wear currently. It does work a treat for calming TT down though.
Cats have been mixed tbh. The Bengal who was super clingy throughout pregnancy has probably acted out the most, getting in cot/snuzpod/pram, hiding in nursery, refusing to come for treats. The first week she wouldn't even come near me even for a snudge and an ear scratch which in my hormone-addled state I found really upsetting. She seems to be getting over it though and will sit on my lap when I'm feeding. I think she just misses the attention which is hard to share between three cats and a needy baby!

jellypi3 · 03/07/2015 08:45

Morning viroids. mae you must be prophetic, there's been a bfp on the undergrads!

I would use reusable's but I also don't have a tumble dryer so think it's slightly out of the question for me unfortunately.

la one of my main concerns is the cats. One of them is super clingy, and I think she will only get worse. Plus the can't go outside to get away from the baby.

Bristol was nice but difficult. It was a boat trip round the harbour, beautiful city. But very boozy. Everyone kept giving me drinks and I kept saying I'll drink it later. I left really early which was a shame because I was having fun :( oh well, it's all worth it!

Jcandy · 03/07/2015 09:06

I'm thinking of using resusables there's just so many to choose from! Gonna start with disposables for a couple of weeks and then try a few I think.

Which ergo sling have you got la? I'm trying to look for a sling at them moment that will be Ok for me as I suffer with chronic back pain (though no major flair up for 2 years now thankfully) so I need something that will support it

WilHarlot · 03/07/2015 09:41

Think any ergo would be fine in theory JC, although wouldn't put them forward facing in the 360. I tried an ergo and found it uncomfy on my back though. I think that Close Caboo looks great for when they're tiny. I have a Tula which is fine on my back if I manage to get it on right. Heard good things about Boba 4g.

ZylaB · 03/07/2015 09:52

JCandy it might be worth looking at slings when the baby is here if there are possible issues with your back. The city we're in has a sling library it runs at least once a month, you can go and ask for proper advice and try some out?

WouldRatherHaveCake · 03/07/2015 09:55

toast how tall you are will play a big part in what mat pillow to get!

dulcet I'm a cloth but mum. Love it. Hoping to use from the start with the next one. I've turned into a mega hippy! I got my BFP after placing a massive order for CSP.

Sorry for the delay, DS is poorly and is very clingy bless him, but where do I find the stats?!

WouldRatherHaveCake · 03/07/2015 09:57

Ohh and JC I have arthritis of the spine and found mei tais the best, had a sling library consultation and they recommended a hop tye which I loved until I got my latest one

maemay · 03/07/2015 10:18

Whoop, it's carrot with the BFP! Undergrad stats sheet says she's been trying for 12 months. Really pleased for her! Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 03/07/2015 10:25

Morning!

Dream genii rocks! I love it! I have SPD and tuck the pillow behind me then between my legs which keeps my spine straight. It also stops you rolling into your back at night. If you buy from nct website I think it's cheaper? I got mine on Amazon though.

Cloth bums - definitely one for next baby, but not possible in this house. We are very very environmentally conscious and it does irritate me that I'll be using disposables but we struggle enough with the damp in this house.

My hips are agony and turning over in bed is now very sore because bump is so large it drags as I turn over! I'm back to thinking baby will be late now as twinges have calmed down.

Had a bit of a cry during the night because I'm so tired now and trying to get out of bed the 20 or so times I need to wee (actually not exaggerating for once!) just gets too much.

Those of you who've done this before - when did plug fall out and where? I'm on crotch watch as I'm paranoid I'll miss it!

Hooray for bfp!!!!

Ok off to catch up

OP posts:
WouldRatherHaveCake · 03/07/2015 10:34

la I started losing from 38 weeks when contractions started, but when I went into "proper" labour at 40 I realised that it so didn't compare. Trust me you won't miss it!

LaLaLaaaa · 03/07/2015 10:44

JC mine is made by Ergo - I've got a caboo close for me but bought ergo for dh to use as its bit more manly and also for me to use for longer trips as it has more support, I got it off gumtree for £50 and it was brand new with tags and in box.

Hooray for carrot!!!

Would I hope your poorly ds gets better soon

OP posts:
LaLaLaaaa · 03/07/2015 10:47

Dulcet I wouldn't bother with the vits anymore

Tee glad the cats are a bit better. Mine are definitely clingier now, think they love having me at home

Bat - sure! Will post it up later need to be on PC

OP posts:
batfish · 03/07/2015 10:52

Thanks la! Will save it this time I promise Smile

WilHarlot · 03/07/2015 11:14

Re vitamins, you'll probably want to take some if you're bfing but doesn't have to be expensive pregnancy ones.

First time I never lost my plug. Second time I think I had a little bit of mucousy tinged stuff a few days before (?), can't remember but definitely nothing like has been described by others.
