Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

deeply I knelt on the floor leaning over a gym ball. It was the only way I could get comfy.

CountryGal4 · 08/07/2015 04:43

Coming buy to say a tentative hello. Also what the crap do I do now I'm up the duff?

oneyorkshirepud · 08/07/2015 05:07

Hi Country! (Waves like a loon!)
There is not much to do at the mo just enjoy the fact that you are pregnant for now, and if you have stuff you want to get done then crack on with it in the next two weeks before exhaustion/nausea kicks in. (Claps hands like a demented sealion because you are here).

Hee hee Honey I did giggle at your fat cats!

honeysucklejasmine · 08/07/2015 05:26

Hi Country! waves

I am awake

I am going to try to continue to sleep.

This morning I am going to crack in to the honeydew melon. Yum.

Toast85 · 08/07/2015 06:12

Hi country! Lovely to have you here :) in answer to your question...now worry for the next 30odd weeks Grin

Pud, was it you that called it the 8 week wait? I love that.

LaLaLaaaa · 08/07/2015 07:16

Deeply if your baby is still high up then I'd go for sitting slightly back propped up with cushions. Once you're over 30 weeks you should be sitting with bump forward to encourage baby into correct position. I like sitting cross legged or on my ball

Country - enjoy the I between bits where you are just 'pregnant' - there are so many things to worry about later I wish I'd taken advantage of those more!

Welcome Country Smile

Looking forward to the uncomfortable stage Grin I'm still in the loving being pregnant stage Smile

I somehow need to find a way to let go of the job that has been my life for the last 7 years. Any tips? I'm dreading it! I know I'll have a baby to keep me busy and I'm probably being melodramatic for a change but this is really bothering me

jellypi3 · 08/07/2015 07:48

Hey country :) as others have said, just try to enjoy it. When you feel ready phone your doctors to tell them you are pg, they might tell you to self refer to a midwife or arrange your appointment for you :) and start taking your vits.

Any babies those of you about to "pop"?

I'm going to tell my boss today I'm pg, I'm so scared.

honeysucklejasmine · 08/07/2015 07:58

Do you think they haven't guessed Jelly?

Fleurchamp · 08/07/2015 08:03

Congrats country and welcome to the Fred.

I hated telling work jelly - I felt (stupidly) guilty. But they wouldn't have been more delighted. I told the bosses before telling a few others a bit later. They

Fleurchamp · 08/07/2015 08:04

Oops posted too soon...

They were the office gossips so there was no need for me to make a big announcement Grin

DulcetMoans · 08/07/2015 08:16

Morning! I have woken up still with child in stomach so my hopes it would climb out itself overnight were obviously too much.

Thanks rm, ga and pis. Sounds like I will probably know when it happens but maybe the beginning of something. Could still be weeks though!

Welcome country! Come on in! Everyone's health authority is different so not sure what your process will be but best start by asking GP when you are ready. You'll have all different things to worry about now!

Good luck telling work jelly! My biggest feeling was guilt, like fleur, but really isn't needed. I was more worried about the big announcement to tell the office so just didn't do it. This meant many people didn't know I was pregnant until well past 20wks which is really fun to see people's faces!

I really struggled leaving work purple. I cried and worked stupid hours for weeks before and went totally OTT on handover and getting things finished. I hated training someone to cover me and I still don't like the idea. People kept telling me I will forget about it and it won't matter when the baby is here, I didn't believe them. I am into third week away from work now and I let it go within the first week - they were right! You just let it go because you have to but I had to leave work to get there. I have been into emails about once a day to forward any necessary stuff, I got angry at something I read once but after that I just thought it really doesn't matter. I predict you will let it go once you have left, quicker than you think, but you won't believe me until you get there!

Link to pizza cake toast? I wanna see!

Getting comfy is an issue deeply. I have got to stage where standing and laying down are the only things that work and laying down involves lots of fidgeting. Standing and leaning on a wall is nice but you can't do it all evening. Leaning on the ball is good too. You just have to keep moving really...

gaggiagirl · 08/07/2015 08:17

country mega congratulations lovely to see you here!

I'm off to spend the morning with kid at her new school. We get a school dinner at half eleven yesssssssssssssss!

WilHarlot · 08/07/2015 08:33

oooh do you think you'll get extra salty mashed potato Ga? And a sponge pudding with custard?

Congratulations Country.

Come on babies, get a move on!

Purpleball · 08/07/2015 08:36

Ooh school dinner Ga, it might not be the same if Jamie Oliver got his hands on it. Hope you get coconut jam sponge and custard or chocolate sponge and mint custard
Don't forget the spam fritters!
might be showing my age now

Dulcet all my work email are going to be forwarded to the team, I'll put an out of office on but I'll never see the email. I've asked them to forward anything non work to my personal email but it will get forgotten. Fortunately my best friend works for them too so I'll ask her to keep me posted. I've got no handover really, my projects are all tailing off now and I'm training new staff by web session.

I feel like once I pass on the knowledge there won't be a place for me. I've been there so long, it's a very small company and I've worked 50-60 hour weeks and given them a large chunk of my life for years. They are worried that I won't stop working hence taking phone and laptop not the case. They'll get a big strop if they try to give me a shite phone back though Angry

DulcetMoans · 08/07/2015 08:45

Oh ga, I have to warn you as it still haunts me to this day - your spoon is for dessert, not beans. If you use it for your beans you will be outcast forever. You have to use your fork for the beans or the other parents will think you're weird.

I know purple, it is tough. But I think you just get to a stage when you are off where you realise that someone else will have to deal with it as you aren't there. I have lots of friends at work, including one of my best friends and she only talked to me properly about work for the first time yesterday. She was trying to make sure I didn't just keep going so make sure your friend doesn't just keep asking you Qs etc. I know the phone/laptop thing is an issue for you, hopefully they will just put it in a cupboard and wait for you. It's for your own good though to stop you working and they are company property so it makes sense they would have it back.

jellypi3 · 08/07/2015 08:51

I don't know if they have guessed honey, my boss made a few jokes a couple of weeks back about "morning sickness" but I don't know if it was him guessing or not.

I work in a small team and one of the people has just resigned and is leaving in December. He's a senior member of the team and my boss has been saying in recent weeks he wants me to take more of his responsibilities so I can fill his more senior role. He wants to sit down today to talk through the job description etc so it's deffo the time to tell him I won't be here for a year! So yeah, guilty is how I am feeling at the moment. The rest of the team I will tell a lot later I think.

Ga i hope you get potato smilies! I used to dip my smilies in my custard at school weirdo

honeysucklejasmine · 08/07/2015 09:48

It'll be fine Jelly! Gx for you.

My name is honey, and I love semolina. With brown sugar sprinkled on top.

LaLaLaaaa · 08/07/2015 10:15

Purple I would exactly echo what dulcet said. My job is extremely demanding and I am heavily invested in it in work time and outside. So I really struggled with handing it over to someone and walking away. But you'll be amazed how quickly you get over it!!! Within a week I felt like a weight had lifted, even as I was still writing handover notes. Now I haven't looked at my work account for 5 days and if someone contacted me about work I'd be inclined to tell them it's currently not my problem Grin

I'm absolutely loving having the headspace and lack of stress that not working has brought.

I would definitely recommend though being as organised as possible with your handover. My handover took so much longer than expected so it dragged into my first week of mat leave and meant I was bit stressed in case baby came and I still wasn't ready.

Jelly my work were extremely supportive when I told them and I was glad I told them early as it meant we could start recruiting for my cover. Good luck!

Getting comfy is the hardest thing for me just now. Had a bit of a cry this morning because I'm so tired of having to sleep surrounded by pillows keeping me in position and every turn over resulting in me needing a wee. I feel very tired today. MiniLa is back to normal though (how is miniFleur today?) and being squirmy and punching me in the bladder, so no more worry here for now

I'm going to go to exercise class tonight to try to get things moving a bit. They say keeping active is the best way to being on labour. Have lots of achy pains today low down but I think it's the wriggling rather than anything else

Ooh! Enjoy gaggia! Chips, baked beans, pastry things, blancmange, funny chocolate pudding with skin on. I loved school dinner!

What's this spoon thing? I use a spoon for pasta, curry, anything with sauce. I don't like forks! Am I uncultured?

Purple you may need to let the laptop/phone thing goSmile - you're going to be off work for a year and they are work property and likely needed by someone else in the company? We would definitely have to hand those things back at my work as resources are precious. You're not going to care, you'll have a new baby to look after. Plus you could get yourself a cool new phone to take snaps of your baby with. Try not to let yourself get worked up over the phone thing.

Got to go get my fanjita waxed today. Hope I don't get told to 'hop on the bed' like last time, as she'll get a slap!
