Aaaaah, just lost all my typing.

Super hot here and absoloutely no patience. I'm hosting a playdate and having to get involved in lots of arguments. I am not in the mood Smile.

Jelly I can't believe that you have to wait until thursday for a scan. Here you can just walk in with a bit of spotting and get scanned that day. It seems to vary tremendously across the country.

I will start using dye again after 12 weeks. I use aveda stuff, though I'm not sure that it makes a big difference chemical wise?! I also have really thin hair since kids.

Brummiegirl15 · 30/06/2015 17:01

I get my hair coloured at a salon and have highlights and I've specifically asked this question and I was told it's fine as the chemicals are very small amounts. (Plus I have highlights which don't really touch the scalp) but that some people choose not to colour their hair and it's personal decision.

But yes, it's safe

Boobear1983 · 30/06/2015 17:01

I have naturally dark hair so they greys stand out loads...I'm 31 but I've got loads of grey hair! I have to use permanent and I've just checked, it has lots of chemicals (ammonia etc). I have a mw appointment on the 9th so I'll ask her then

QuackQuackers · 30/06/2015 17:05

boo I think highlights are generally fine as don't touch the scalp bit an all over dye the jury is out.
I'm going to reschedule my hair appointment to be after I'm 12weeks. Annoying though cause it's desperate already!

Congratulations on all the early scans! I'm really wishing I'd booked one now. I shouldn't be greedy though as I'm booked in at ten weeks (ish).
I'm waiting for the mw to call and arrange my booking in. I'd feel better if I had a date to look forward to. Gp referral was over a week ago and I'm sure they'd called already by this stage last time.

HerewegoagainRound4 · 30/06/2015 17:16

I've dyed my hair during all three of my previous pregnancies, never had a problem. This time round I NEED to dye it, there's too many grey now, also only 31, having three kids takes its toll Confused

purdiepipesup · 30/06/2015 17:19

Jelly, appalling that you're being made to wait for a scan. What did a&e say when you asked for one?!

Isla, lovely, wonderful news. I'm up again tomorrow..

RattyCatty · 30/06/2015 17:30

Isla fantastic news!

Good luck tomorrow Purdie

clumsypots · 30/06/2015 17:38

What a lovely scan pic boo

Quick question if my dh is allergic to fish is it safe for me to eat while pregnant? I am not seeing the midwife until Friday and I really fancy fish for tea

Raaaaaah · 30/06/2015 17:48

Sorry Isla and Boo I somehow missed your news. Fantastic!

jellypi3 · 30/06/2015 18:12

clumsy I don't understand? Your DH is allergic to fish, there's no danger to you or your bean by you eating fish.

Anyone else had really painful bloating?

clumsypots · 30/06/2015 18:20

Thanks jelly I just wanted to double check. I will enjoy my fish for tea Smile and yes I have really painful bloating but only in the evening

haquoi123 · 30/06/2015 18:23

jellypi, oh the bloat!! Confused Massive and difficult bm this morning (1st poo in 3 days), which has taken it down a little, but definitely feeling uncomfortable. And my stomach is constantly rumbling...

birdbrain21 · 30/06/2015 18:39

I'm so bloated I told my head teacher today even though I'm 10 weeks and was going to wait another 2. He was asking if I could take over some extra lessons as cover ti December and giving me a funny look like he'd already guessed so I had to reassure him that I won't be leaving till end of January and won't mess things up by agreeing to the cover. He was really nice about it, I feel like telling everyone and then I can just act normal and not wear the same two flattering tops on rotation so nobody guesses....
great news for scan ladies! I'm off to mw on Friday wi be 10+3 by then so hope they can book me in for a scan quickly. I'm not goimg for downs testing so know it doesn't have matter time wise when scan happens but would like to tell friends and colleagues

LillianMakesAMinion · 30/06/2015 18:41

So happy for you both boobear and isla - happy scans give me hope :)

I think my first trimester anxieties are seeping into my subconscious and I've been having odd dreams too banana. I've been making trips too the loo during the night lately and one night I dreamed i walked into an intruder in the dark on my way to the bathroom - DH had to wake me up as I was apparently making noises in my sleep. Then the night before last I dreamt I was bleeding into my underwear - DH and my sister were crying and upset in my dream but I was strangely calm and removed and was trying to tell them not to be upset as it was only a dream.

monkerina · 30/06/2015 19:48

Oh the bloating! By lunchtime every day top button (and usually flies) open. So classy.

Boo and Isla, lovely pics!

monkerina · 30/06/2015 19:49

Just to reassure, I work from home- only the cat to scare!

Marsaday · 30/06/2015 19:55

My bloating is so bad that at my.early scan the sonographer couldn't see my ovaries because i was too full of gas.
The shame. Blush Blush

Marsaday · 30/06/2015 19:56

Congrats on scans ladies, nice pics

IslaMann · 30/06/2015 19:57

Thank you everyone, Boo, great pic, cant work out how to put mine on here!

Purdie and Jelly, thinking of you both and sending positive thoughts for happy outcomes for you both.

Have to say, the support on here is AMAZING. Flowers for you all

purdiepipesup · 30/06/2015 19:58

Monk, are you up tomorrow, flower?

Clumsy, dare I ask whether you were inferring your dh's allergy to fish could've been passed to your foetus?

My bloat is obscene. So much so that I've surrendered and am wearing tight-fitting tops to accentuate it. It's clear that I'm pregnant, even though the bump is bloat. The rest of me is slim so I don't give a crap.

purdiepipesup · 30/06/2015 19:59

Isla, who was the other lady on here, apart from Lillymog, who is 43 like us?

goneswimming · 30/06/2015 20:01

Hi everyone, late joiner! The Internet says I'm due on Feb 23rd all being well... But we had a mc a few months back so I have to admit I'm pretty much just waiting for it to happen again. Midwife on Monday for a referral to an early scan to check on things....fingers crossed.

Raaaaaah · 30/06/2015 20:05

Welcome goneswimming. I love your username, especially in this weather. Many of us are nervous here so you are in good company.

monkerina · 30/06/2015 20:16

Welcome and good luck goneswimming- quite a few of us are in the same position, so you're in good company! Today we are pregnant Smile

Purdie, yes I'm up at 9am- how about you? Happily have gone into what-will-be-will-be mode so am not stressing myself, DH OR you all too much! And repeating to myself your words 'new egg' has helped a lot too...

IslaMann · 30/06/2015 20:26

Purdie I've looked on the stats sheet, and its only us (and Lily) who are the oldies. Actually Im the oldest, as I hit 44 on Thurs Sad
