Gold - yes, blue came back, all was fine, hb seen.
Scan day today for me, not until 3:20 tho. Scared there'll be nothing there, but have been awake most of night with nausea, so trying to think positive.

NoMontagues · 30/06/2015 08:08

Good luck isla Smile

Marsaday · 30/06/2015 08:19

Good luck isla, hope it goes well.

For those who were.wondering about birth stories, how about this one? ( apologies that source is daily fail) www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3143637/California-woman-runs-gas-gives-birth-road-spends-three-days-forest-rescued.html

haquoi123 · 30/06/2015 08:24

banana maybe you could listen to something soothing before going to bed? My dreams are vivid but also very open to suggestion, so maybe try and avoid stimulus /meditate type thing before bed?

Best of luck with scans today!

brummie that sounds like really hard work, but like you say, if it's helping that's brilliant.

haquoi123 · 30/06/2015 08:27

brummie reading that back it sounds like I'm dismissing you, I'm not! I think it's great that your Drs are looking after you and I really really hope it works. Your poor tummy!

rallytog1 · 30/06/2015 08:46

Good luck today Isla.

Is anyone else having to travel in this hot weather? I've got to go from the NW to London tomorrow for various meetings but wondering whether to try to get out of it on account of all the buckled rails and train delays that will no doubt cripple our rubbish rail network.

Marsaday · 30/06/2015 10:00

Banana i also have vivid and really weird dreams throughout pregnancy, but not often they turn into nightmares.
I second the suggestion of meditate - with first pg i listened to a hypobirthing cd before bed and i always fell asleep before it even got halfway because of the relaxation part at the beginning.

Ohjellybelly · 30/06/2015 10:48

Thank you for all if your thoughts and best wishes yesterday.
The bleeding has stopped now and all symptoms still remain - I still threw up thus morning.
Though I remain ever hopeful, I am more then aware that Thursday may (most probably) will bring bad news.

Good luck to all of you with scams today. I have all fingers and toes crossed for you.

Boobear1983 · 30/06/2015 11:35

Jelly it sounds promising that you still have symptoms. Thinking of you Flowers

haquoi123 · 30/06/2015 11:56

I'm sorry you have to wait that long jelly. Fingers crossed for Thursday

So sick of vomiting everytime I brush my teeth. Grrr. I'm starting to find eating traumatic. I know I have to eat but I just don't want to and then finally I get something down me and then it starts all over again. I've run out of food ideas (never seem to want the same thing twice) and more often than not the stuff I am craving, like fruit and juice, make me feel worse!

primarynoodle · 30/06/2015 12:53

jelly fx for thursday, you are so brave and patient!

got my booking in appointment at 2pm, bit nervous not sure what to expect... do i need to need a wee when i get there or is that just for the scans? not sure if they do a urine aample or not!

RattyCatty · 30/06/2015 13:11

primary at mine they gave me a pot to wee in and did a blood test - good luck!

jelly I am crossing my fingers for you for Thursday, definitely a good sign that you are still getting symptoms

Boobear1983 · 30/06/2015 13:58

I had my scan today. They think I'm further along then i thought, at least 9 weeks. Heard the heartbeat and even saw little legs wiggling about

haquoi123 · 30/06/2015 14:16

Awww wonderful boobear!

jellypi3 · 30/06/2015 14:28

lovely scan picture boo :) my next scan is a week today, already getting nervous

Boobear1983 · 30/06/2015 14:32

I have a question, may be a daft one. Is it safe to dye my hair? I have been avoiding it due to the chemicals however my grey roots are getting out of control! I have to use permanent dye. Google seems to think it's ok.

jellypi3 · 30/06/2015 14:38

Don't quote me on this but I think ammonia free hair dye's are ok? I've never dyed my hair but I think my book said it's safe if it's ammonia free

BananaRaces · 30/06/2015 14:47

Aww Boo that's great!! I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your hair dye question though...

Haqoui and Mars, I find meditation and self-hypnosis really works well for me so that is a very good idea. I will try it tonight. Thanks Smile.

I'm feeling SO damn nauseous today, but I sometimes think "maybe I'm just hungry" and try eating something and that just makes it 10x worse. It's SO hot here as well. I just want to curl up somewhere cool and quiet and not move. Envy

Mirabal · 30/06/2015 15:12

lovely picture boo and awesome to be further along than you thought.

I think someone else posted a picture too - was it you stocking - that was fantastic too xx

Rufus200 · 30/06/2015 15:47

boo lovely pic. I personally am not going to dye my dark hair until pregnancy is over. I have a large amount of grey that is now all completely visible as I last dyed it during my last AF. There are a lot of chemicals in hair dye and I personally don't want to expose bean to them. I think it is just a personal choice! I'm plucking the greys out that are really obvious in my parting and right at the front of my hair line and ignoring the rest. There is a product called colour wow, which is a wax that you brush on and it covers up grey but has to be redone each time you wash your hair. I haven't used it yet but may get some if my grey starts bothering me or if I have a special event.

I am really struggling with the heat today! Feeling really dizzy and faint! Supposed to be much worse tomorrow!!!

RattyCatty · 30/06/2015 16:14

Boo what a lovely photo & so nice to be further along than you thought!

IslaMann · 30/06/2015 16:15

Scan done, nice strong hb, and could see placenta! Date put forward by
1 day so am now 8+5. Very relieved and happy!!

Boobear1983 · 30/06/2015 16:18

Congrats isla

I think i might give the hair dye a miss and just put up with the (many) grey.

StockingFullOfCoal · 30/06/2015 16:29

I use semi perm dyes, they're basically just conditioner with food colouring Grin My hair is naturally black and has lots of grey I'm not even 30 yet ffs
