Thanks goodness bean is OK Sharon how worrying for you x

mrsdiddly what bad luck with the classes. There really doesn't seem to be a lot around to be honest.

Cheshirehello79 · 05/08/2015 22:24

Oh Sharon - hope you're ok I would have been worried sick.

I'm thinking of packing my hospital bag just in case of anything .... I just keep on getting these weird anxiety thoughts ..

Mrs diddle ... Haha what good excuse not to exercise .. I wish I had same excuses Ive just become lazy and don't do much walking as I drive everywhere :-(

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 05/08/2015 22:43

I was a bit worried at one point when I was doubled up on my parents drive and felt an urge to push...however my bowel pains arent dissimilar to labour pains when they flare up just thought I must get it checked out when the woman from 111 said they can't rule out labour and if things got worse to call an ambulance ShockShock

Cheshirehello79 · 05/08/2015 23:06

Well great that you're ok and so as little beanie. I take fish oil capsule everyday heard they help with ibs not sure how true that is but been ok ( touch wood ) so far even whilst intaking lots of iron foods

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 06/08/2015 06:40

I will give that a try! Thanks

blueskygreengrass · 06/08/2015 09:37

Hi everyone - checking back in after not being around since thread 2! I'm well and all is good with bubba aka "cubby". Found out we're having a girl, so starting to think about names. Wandered around the shops the other day and got teary over nursery stuff. Began to feel a bit overwhelmed with how much there is to learn and buy, although have already had some 2nd hand offers.

A lot has happened since I was last here - got made redundant and too far off due date for maternity pay/leave. I was absolutely furious. As soon as I get my MATB1 form from the doc, I'm claiming maternity benefit. The Tories can cough up!! Can't believe how big bump is already - DH keeps saying "look at that belly!"

Love to all x

Cheshirehello79 · 06/08/2015 10:46

Hi blues - welcome back :-)

Sorry to hear about you're work situation and hope you're coping ok - I would do exactly the same if I were you claim ma as soon as you get your mat b 1. When are you due?

P.s where is that spreadsheet with everyone's dates will be nice have everyone else added.

Can I get a hiyaaaa' 23 weeks today - exactly 6 months and a week to go before 3rd trimester. We are get there ladies :-) must say my bump is still minute compared to other people I've seen who are 6 months. My maternity leggings still don't hang properly so as we speak I'm still on normal baggy clothes apart from jeans or trousers.

Found out there's Aqua netal classes 7 miles away from me so will definetly go and find out what it all about the disadvantage is that it's every Friday 12.30 - 1.30 don't other preggs women work on a Friday ?

I've been having terrible sleeping patterns that keeps me awake at night and feel sleepy in the evening - anyone been having this issue I was up till 4am this morning - shattered now and have to work grrrr!

I've been having this mega farts too ( tmi) not sure what's causing them but hope I'm not scarring my neighbours hoho.

Have nice jolly day everyone :-)

chopsface · 06/08/2015 12:42

Welcome back blue! Sorry about the work thing :-( it wasn't because of pregnancy was it or you could sue their asses! Do you get the matb1 off midwifes or GP? I need to get mine before 24 weeks for my boss to sort with HR.

Cheshire! My bump has finally popped and I look pregnant!!! But now I have very few clothes I can fit in and need a shopping trip!! People have started commenting in work now about my belly. And hubby said that there is no mistaking it now, I look preg! Instead of the is she isn't she stage up to last week.

Had such a vivid dream last night about being told it was a boy and not noticing it wasn't until it was about 2 years old that it didn't have a penis and then I couldn't love my new "daughter" coz I felt cheated out of my son!! Really bloody wierd....

blueskygreengrass · 07/08/2015 09:04

Hey Cheshire and chops - great to back! Thanks for your words. I'm doing fine now, but the redundancy was a shock. Felt sad and angry each time I read "when to tell your boss about your pregnancy", or "when to go on maternity leave". I'm due 13 December. chops, you get your MATB1 around 28 weeks from midwife (I think). Cheshire, no it wasn't because of pregnancy - in fact I decided not to reveal it during the restructuring process as I thought it would go against me (my former HR department could not be trusted and were already going through various discrimination cases). Sadly, once I did pipe up, they didn't care either way. I had a week to find another role in the organisation, which was impossible. Although I miss the money, I don't miss that place one bit!

I'm gonna start a diary of sorts cos I'm already forgetting the weirdness of first trimester. It's all going so fast. Yep, vivd/terrifying dreams a couple of weeks ago, which have thankfully subsided. Off to pick up some 2nd hand maternity clothes today :)

blueskygreengrass · 07/08/2015 09:09

Btw, I've started a thread in preschool yesterday:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/preschool/2442625-Thinking-ahead-or-way-too-early

Any of you ladies who have kids already and/or in the know about nursery stuff, please give your words of wisdom! x

Cheshirehello79 · 07/08/2015 10:40

Oh p.s I was told that I'll be getting my matb 1 on my next me appointment which is week 25

Cheshirehello79 · 07/08/2015 10:41

Next midwife appointment

chopsface · 07/08/2015 12:17

Well I've been told I need to give the matb1 to my boss before 24 weeks! Seeing my Midwife at 25 weeks and then me and dh go on holiday for a week! How does that work?! Apparently if you give it in later than 24 weeks it could delay your maternity pay. All seems so early...

mrsdiddlydoo · 07/08/2015 13:34

I'll get my matb1 at my 25 week appt. Think the latest it can be in is end of that week. Partners and dhs need to tell their employers too if they plan to take paternity leave.

blue I think it depends where you live and whether your planned nursery is a popular one or not as to when to apply for childcare. Far too early for schoolplaces. Have you thought about what you want to do, when you'll go back to work, or have a nursery or childminders in mind? Our family lives away so DS goes to nursery 3 full days a week. I'd recommend visiting as many as you can to get a feel for them. It's not all about ofsed reports. You need to like it and the staff too. I'm hoping to take a full year off work so still a bit early to book our place but I will probably enquire around 30 weeks because our nursery is popular.

chopsface · 07/08/2015 17:37

Just read the trust policy on the intranet.... I need to tell the manager and fill out a maternity pay form by 25 weeks but don't need to give them my matb1 until up to 28 days before the start of maternity leave.

SnozzberryPie · 07/08/2015 19:38

Hello, would you mind if I join you? My due date is 3rd December, it was originally 30th Nov so I joined the November thread but everyone there seems to have disappeared off to Facebook so would it be OK to join you here as well?

This will be dc2; I have a dd aged 2.5 and this one is a boy. I've just been sorting baby clothes from our loft, weeding out the too girly clothes to give away (this will be our last baby).

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 07/08/2015 21:33

Bluesky it's way too early to be thinking about registering for school- they don't even open for registrations until a year before the academic year startsGrin! However it's worth looking round nurserys and especially childminders early on as they tend to have very limited places (childminders) and popular nurseries can have big waiting lists

chopsface · 08/08/2015 23:07

Hi snozz! Welcome. Hope you don't find it too quiet on here too. Most people are now on Facebook from here too.

Cheshirehello79 · 09/08/2015 12:15

Welcome snooze :-)

How's all the December's yummy mummy's ? I've been having daily movements now and it's quite cute . Starting to look at what to pack in my hospital bag especially when it comes to pj's or nighty dress? Etc ...

Happy sunday

miranda89 · 09/08/2015 14:16

Hello all. Due December 1st with boy number 3 I'm 35 and this is definitely my last so want to enjoy being pregnant this time (fingers crossed) and hope to share lovely experience / weird dreams and extremely unnecessary anxiety over the most stupid things with all you lot, now that the dreadful sickness has passed and I can actually read my phone without the feeling of seasick creeping in. I look forward to getting to know you all. Flowers

Cheshirehello79 · 09/08/2015 14:53

Welcome Miranda to club December :-)

Cheshirehello79 · 09/08/2015 14:58

Thought I should share this if anyone is interested ...

December 2015 #4 - Hello Second Trimester!
Metalhead · 10/08/2015 11:38

Hi all, just checking back in after my holiday. I'm 23 weeks today and felt like a whale walking round in my bikini on holiday! But with temperatures in the mid to high 30s all week it was far too hot to cover up...

Welcome to the club Miranda and snozzberry!

chopsface · 10/08/2015 12:48

Glad you had a nice holiday metal mid to high 30's must have been mental though. It was 28 in London on Saturday and that felt bad enough!

Think I did too much on the weekend. Felt so tired this morning and then I went all dizzy and threw up :-(

buntingbingo · 10/08/2015 17:18

Hi all. I've been lurking since early days. I'm due xmas day (eek) had 20 week scan today. All looking wonderful and this baby will be dd3 which is so lovely. Discovered I have anterior placenta so that's why I haven't been feeling much movement so that's also a relief.
