Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 30th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 48th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

yep i live literally 5 minutes from an ikea so it's kind of my haven for when i need a quick storage solution! i'll be raiding them when it comes to sorting the house out. I've even decided i need to sort my paperwork out because i'll need a new box for baby stuff! this si just too organised for me

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/06/2015 14:14

Oh god I am so jealous!! Going to Ikea from our place is basically the equivalent of trekking the Andes. Takes roughly the same amount of time too, with the four hour intervals between the ikea shuttles!!

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 14:24

It's known as scanxiety round here I might have invented it
I got quite worried before each scan that it would be bad news

We've got lots of cleaning and sorting going on. We also need the driveway widened as can't get a pram past it. And we need a new bath plus shower screen.

Baby is getting my office and I'm moving office stuff into spare room. Which means I don't get a nice view when I'm working anymore small price to pay

jellypi3 · 10/06/2015 14:24

blimey i don't think there's anywhere that's further than 4 hours from an Ikea over here Grin

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 14:25

Can't get pram past the car!

rm00054 · 10/06/2015 14:25

Go Tee go! Hope minitee isn't being too much of a pickle!

Thanks for all the advice on mattresses. I've ordered one Smile think that was the last thing I needed to get, so now I'm all ready. Hurry up baby!! I'm getting so impatient now!

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 14:27

I distinctly remember a lull in my MS in the weeks before my scan. I'm sure if you were to find that point on the grads thread I am saying exactly what you have just said 'oh my god I don't feel sick anymore this must be bad!!!' but it was fine :)

There's no normal and sickness comes and goes. enjoy it while it goes, because it will 'come' again and you'll be gutted you didn't make the most of the non-sicky time

Pottery Barn DO deliver to the UK - woohoo! Shipping is £8.52. As the towel is on sale I think it still works out cheaper than buying from mamas and papas!

mountaingirl01 · 10/06/2015 14:47

Gouda - the scary thing about trying to sort a small space, is the minute you un pack it all from where it is hidden, is how much is there and trying to fit it all in again! We have a pretty small house and have been trying to sort stuff in order that our tiny 'second bedroom' Hmm can be made into a baby room and all the crap that was living in there (and dh's computer) can be found new spaces.. I completely sympthise with the random things in the house annoying you thing, I have so far tidied and cleaned the inside of our airing cupboard, sorted out my kitchen cupboards, bleached the front of all those cupboards and even completely cleaned the inside of my car (as well as all the other sorting, and going a bit mad with tidying and pruning the garden and orchard). I think because I am usually obsessively clean and tidy, my nesting instinct has had to find other areas to focus! lol to the storage boxes .. I have become a bit obsessive with finding new places to put them. My cat is loving it as she has a bit of a thing for boxes. Although I wasn't impressed when she put her claws through one of my vacumm packs of clothes that I have hidden under the bed.

La - oh my those are cute! I love the crocodile one :)

I had my GTT this morning, so now just anxiously awaiting the results.. supposed to be on an admin day this afternoon (wangled by the fact I should be all shaky after not eating) instead just eating stupid amounts of crap and surfing on pottery barn. ..

GO TEE GOOOOO!

mountaingirl01 · 10/06/2015 14:49

It's a shame we don't live closer la we could have shared the postage

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 14:56

God yes - our house is TINY and we are having a nightmare trying to fit in baby stuff! Our desk is now also a TV unit, the buggy is folded up behind the kitchen table. My wardrobe is in the nursery. I've had to sell my papasan chair to make space for the swing chair and/or bouncer downstairs and last night we built the snuzpod but we can't put it in the bedroom yet because if we do then I can't get in or out of bed!

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 14:57

tee - I'm thinking of you, I really hope you and tinytee are ok xx

Fleurchamp · 10/06/2015 15:05

Yes, tee hope you're ok.

We had a mammoth clear out early on in the pregnancy and have had our loft boarded to store the rest of DH's crap that he just loves to hoard.

I can't stand "stuff" I am always throwing things away whereas DH keeps everything because it might be "useful". We have the cables and wires for every camera, phone, laptop etc. we have ever owned.

That reminds me, bin day tomorrow Grin I get to go round the house throwing things away.

My house is also tiny and has a very narrow hall. The pram will have to be kept in the living room - would it be mad to keep the pram in the boot of the car?

mountaingirl01 · 10/06/2015 15:19

What is it about men and wires fleur ?! when clearing out the baby room, I found a whole big draw of different wires, including 6 chargers for phones we no longer have and 2 cables which we both bought at uni to link our computers to the halls intranet. DH has refused to get rid of any of them 'just in case' Hmm

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 15:58

We've got a small house too. We were going to extend but babypurple has delayed that. It's too much to deal with and we can't remortgage knowing our income will decrease so it's waiting til after mat leave.
I'm a bit gutted as we had planned a large enough hallway to leave a pram with sleeping baby in, plus a downstairs loo and a kitchen big enough to take a table and chairs, plus high chair

I have a plastic mat for the dining room for the pram to go on as its straight through the kitchen and there's no room for a pram in the kitchen. I think that if the baby isn't in it then it might live in the car too.

We're lucky we have 3 bedrooms so the spare bed can remain in place for DH to sleep on if needs be. We also dry washing in there on a huge airer and of course my desk will go in there soon. Then you won't be able to move at all for stuff!

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 16:34

I'm going to murder the next cold-caller who bangs on my door. 3 times I have had to get up and go to answer the door to someone selling bloody windows. Do I look like I want new bloody windows? The windows are quite clearly ancient - don't you think if I gave a crap about windows I might do something about it? Plus - I don't own this house!

Am upstairs in bedroom trying to work as it's the only place I can get comfortable using tonnes of pillows. My bra is off because it was sore so every time they knock I've got to put my bra back on!

See if they do this when baby comes they are going to get a swift kick to the nads.

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 16:36

In fact - next time I'm just going to open the door in all my no-bra-leaky-boob glory

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/06/2015 16:40

mountaingirl - It sounds like I am aspiring to your daily standards! Grin

We live in the town centre, so when I say our flat is small, I mean....it is tiny.

From the front door, it is three steps to the living room, four steps to the (only) bedroom and the bathroom, and four steps to the kitchen.

You can cross the biggest room (living room) in under five steps walking at a normal pace.

We'll have to get rid of a piece of furniture to have room for the crib, but aside from that we are only planning to get the absolute bare minimum as there just isn't space. We figure they would be too young to be too traumatised by the fact that they only had two toys for the first six months...

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/06/2015 16:41

La could you put a sign on the door saying "no cold callers"?

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 16:45

La I printed off a sign from moneysavingexpert.com and put it in the window. I'm sick of hawkers who swear when you don't buy their shite.
I just point to it now, then they tell me they are dyslexic!
I think I'll switch the doorbell off when the baby arrives Smile

Hobbit19 · 10/06/2015 16:50

Flippin eck Bat, who cares about whether you passed your exam or not when you managed not to wee for 3.5 hours?! Seriously that deserves a medal AND a distinction in all of your exams!! Grin

Rhi, Purple, sorry about your various arse ailments, and Fleur sorry that you feel naff too - nap time for you I think.

Some lovely name suggestions Viroids but a big massive veto for 'Calllum'. Hopes none of you have children called Callum Seriously though, I'm a teacher. Don't. Do. It. Grin

Tee I hope you are having squidgy newborn cuddles and a massive fuck off piece of Cake for you efforts.

I'm impressed with the organisation Viroids, I am just proud of myself for going to work today ha ha. Took big cats too the vet too and she has to go in for a scan tomorrow, it is not looking good Sad.

gaggiagirl · 10/06/2015 17:00

Ah Pud poor cat Sad
tee thinking of you.

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 17:01

I vetoed Ethan after being in a restaurant recently with a badly behaved one. After hearing him being told off continuously I went off the name!

Callum I quite like which of course means DH doesn't! still sulking about Finley

Tee, hope you're ok lovely

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 17:01

Pud I hope your cat is ok

jellypi3 · 10/06/2015 17:08

aww hot kitty pud is ok :(

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 17:12

:( sorry to hear about cat pud hope she's ok

I'll get a sign. Perhaps better than assaulting them...?

I can't call him Callum anyway - I used to work in an office with a woman whose kid was called Callum. She used to go on and on and on and on about him and I was sick of the name by the end of it. I think of her every time I hear it. Her ringtone on the phone she never put on silent was Callum singing Biscuit

I'm starting to stress about work and getting irrationally annoyed with people who are trying to help but are creating more work for me. i.e. they are getting stuff back to me that I needed them to comment on, but the comments seem to be particularly picky and I now have to go back to explain why those changes are unnecessary.

Just ate a massive bowl of pickled onions, because I don't have any chocolate. That makes absolutely no sense. But I've got to go to exercise class tonight and now I'm going to be pumping like a trooper
