Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 30th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 48th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

I quite clearly can't type today!

batfish · 10/06/2015 08:19

I love Grayson but mr bat has decided he definitely doesn't Sad Girls name are difficult for us as I thought we had decided one right at the beginning but turns out I thought it was first name middle name and mr bat thought it was a hyphenated first name and neither of us want it the other person's way!

We are both convinced it's a boy but for no other reason really than we have a feeling which isn't very scientific! Mr bat sure he saw a willy at last scan but I really doubt we have a clue what we are seeing so I'm not sure that's a clue either.

Fattycow · 10/06/2015 08:19

Tee, I hope Tinytee is here!

Fattycow · 10/06/2015 08:21

Dulcet, I think the cramps were quite regular. I didn't actually time them. Once things really starts, timing will be DH's job. I'm much more inclined to forget all about the clock and just go with it. So I'll be rubbish timing things myself.

ChatEnOeuf · 10/06/2015 08:23

Ooh Tee I hope things get moving for you this morning.

I'm okay I think La - major wobble yesterday (deets on the undergrads). I've been sent a rosebush which needs planting today, but it needs to be transported home in a year so I'm in a quandary as to where to put it. Do they stay alive in pots?

I love the name Fraser, it was my cousin's name and always feels sacred in some way - he died a few years ago.

Fleurchamp · 10/06/2015 08:23

Morning all

tee I hope you are more comfortable now and that tiny tee makes an appearance soon.

We are struggling with names too. I have my favourites but DH is hard to
please. He cares too much about what people think and so anything I suggest which is "out of the ordinary" (ie not in the top 10 baby names) gets the thumbs down. For a boy we have decided to have my DH's late dad's name as his middle name which then makes it hard as we are now choosing a name to go with that rather than a name we like - my opinion is, you rarely say both names together and, as long as there are no initial problems (love bawbag!!) we should go with it.

Meh, I am going to wait until mini champ is here and see what fits.

In other news, so tired I am still in bed although due in work in half an hour. I am reaaaaallly struggling this week. A combination of a lot of work to do, nct and other appointments (also getting my trotters seen to as I have really awful feet and dealing with them myself is no longer an option) plus lots of personal admin to sort out (culminating in a parking ticket yesterday which was incorrectly given) means I am completely exhausted.

Oh and my neighbours have discovered they have rats! Excellent.

I just want to sleep Sad

jellypi3 · 10/06/2015 08:30

Morning :)

tee gx you have a baby by now!! (Or at least are in less pain).

We've not thought of names at all but DP has a very weird unique name (he's the only registered one on the census) and he loves the idea of our children having weird unique names. So I imagine when we do have the conversation it's going to be tough. But I've always loved Rowan and Theodore for boys.

Fleurchamp · 10/06/2015 08:33

Aww chat I just popped over to the undergrads.
Your DD sounds like a little poppet, bless her. I can't imagine how hard it is for you right now but you must be doing something right if DD is willing to be open and talk about what has happened - even if it is to strangers! I agree with the posters on undergrads, I would try to make sure she knows she can talk about her brother but perhaps just within the family? Either that or you may need to come up with a well rehearsed line for these situations (although it may never come up again) as, I think lil put it - you shouldn't be worrying about making strangers feel awkward.

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 08:57

Chat I just had a look on the undergrads. I think you're doing so well. Ains suggestion sounds good. It's good that she talks about it.
I don't think any 3 year olds have a filter though neither does this 41 year old
Look after yourself lovely Im sure you'll have good and bad days. At some point there will be more good than bad, it just takes time.
The rose bush will be fine in a pot xxx

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/06/2015 09:01

Holy shit tee - I am keeping everything crossed for you. Your poor thing!!! I hope that it is well and truly done and dusted by now and you are feeling about three million times better than during your last message!

Indigoblue2 · 10/06/2015 09:29

Thinking of you tee!!

RhiannonElward · 10/06/2015 09:43

Oh Tee it sounds like you're having a tough time of things but hopefully you have your reward by now. Thinking of you Smile

La Scottish names are lovely. We have all Welsh names and we need ones that non-Welsh speaking people can say so we've really narrowed it down. Dp likes no Welsh boys names so it's just as well we're having a girl.

I've had piles on and off since about week 4, but they're ramping up now. I'm not looking forward to adding iron tablets to the mix, when the inevitable anaemia happens. Trying to pass what look like lumps of coal through an arse full of Jeremys is no fun. I might see if I can get gas and air on prescription for use on the toilet.

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 09:52

chat we transplanted our plants from Scotland to here - dug them up put them in pots and were very careful with them in the van. I'm sure it can be done. You're bound to have a wobble lovely, something awful has happened and it is natural to have good days and bad days. Come and speak to us whenever you need to. I saw your posts about minichat - she sounds very sweet and extremely perceptive, children can be surprisingly more tuned in than we think to what's happening. I hope she's not upsetting you though by telling people. I agree with the others - don't worry about upsetting strangers. Sending you a very large and unmumsnetty hug so large you should kick me into netmums

bat I knew mine was a boy from the very start and was completely unsurprised when they told me at the scan. I think sometimes you just know!

fleur I hope today is easier for you than you think - how much longer do you have at work?

Some baby news for those of you not on the Facebook page! Baby Fresh arrived yesterday on his due date! Fresh has put a lovely photo up if anyone wants to go and see. All went well, very quick 5-hour labour (please let that happen to meeeeee!)

tee I hope the evaluation went well and minitee is on his way!

pretzelpieces · 10/06/2015 10:25

tee sorry you've been having such a painful time of it Sad hope minitee is with you now!

I've come off the Feb fred cause it was causing me more anxiety not less. Hope to rejoin them later. It's good having a mix of stages here on grads. Smile

Cymraes17 · 10/06/2015 10:28

Good luck Tee!
Seeing mw again today, bp has risen a little.
In other news there is a fantastic deal on at frugi, 3 for 2 on all summer things. Ordered some things yesterday, they have just arrived! (Plus there is cashback with quidco)
Lucky fresh, having baby on due date!

Fleurchamp · 10/06/2015 11:16

Lovely news about fresh

My last working day is next Friday la I am really crawling to the finish line. If I remember rightly you finish soon too? How are you getting on?

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 11:26

Good luck today cym! Hope the end is in sight for you.

fleur think you, me and Dulcet are all finishing on the same day :)

I agree - it's dragging....I'm working from home today and so far I've checked baby stuff in sale online and faffed about with the cats.

Just discovered that Pottery Barn ship to the UK. I want one of these in the shark or hippo! www.potterybarnkids.com/products/emerson-nursery-wrap/

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 11:31

Thanks for the tip about the Frugi sale! I've just had a look and my credit card is about to take a bashing

Cymraes17 · 10/06/2015 12:06

Bp back to normal. Nothing happening. Sweep on saturday, if ive not gone by then. DH is worried that she's coming during friday nights football match Hmm
Mw is going away on holiday on sunday, i can still text her(she's family) but would have to see someone else for checkups.

Have informed DH that we will be trying to JS her out tonight.
Right 3/4 of an hour before i need to collect 2 of my monkeys. Must do something useful!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/06/2015 13:13

cym - good luck this week!

La - I always hear americans talking about pottery barn, but have no clue what sort of stuff it does! I will be having a look, but am fairly certain their shipping costs will be too much for me. Not to mention potential charges for customs - argh!! Still - who doesn't love a good browse???

I decided that whilst DH was away, I would have a massive sort out of the flat. I'm two hours in and...er....there is still a lot more to go. I did however do fuck all yesterday so rod, back, etc.

I honestly have no idea if it's early nesting, or just my genetics catching up to me, but all of a sudden our flat has been really irritating me. Things like: feeling compelled to buy a new loo roll holder as ours is ugly, weird and hasn't hung properly in two years. Things like that, but pretty much the entire flat. At least it might help to burn off some pastries....

jellypi3 · 10/06/2015 13:21

gouda i've been the same. i've decided we are going to rearrange our bedroom and study, re arrange the living room, get a dish washer, buy new wardrobes etc. all because of the baby!!!

I need to step away from google, I am getting worried that I won't see anything at all on the scan this friday, but am reading some poeple seeing heartbeats at 5 / 6 weeks and others not seeing anything till 8 weeks. Someone hooyah me!

Lookingforadvice123 · 10/06/2015 13:25

Good luck tee!

Sorry haven't caught up on the thread yet but just a quick one - viroids who recently finished their first trimester, or any viroids who remember it well, is it normal for morning sickness to start improving around 10 weeks? I'm 10+2 and yesterday and today ive felt so much better than the last week (week 9 was rough), and I'm worried it could mean something bad for bean Sad

Lookingforadvice123 · 10/06/2015 13:26

jelly I won't hooyah you as I'm just as bad, but definitely step away from Google! In fact lets both do it for at least 24 hours!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/06/2015 13:50

Jelly - HOOYAH!! But I think it's worth bearing in mind that most people get nervous as the first scan approaches, since there is so much pressure on you, and it's The First actual external confirmation of the pregnancy.

Looking - Hooyah for you as well!! There is no "normal" with morning sickness!! Everyone will start feeling ill and start feeling better in their own specific time frame. My morning sickness only really lasted two or three weeks for example. Feeling better is something to celebrate!! Not to moon over!! Eat a pastry!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/06/2015 13:53

jelly - Glad it's not just me on the re-organisation drive! (although I'm currently at a bit of an URRGHGHGHG NO MORE moment). Dishwasher sounds like heaven on earth. Re-arranging things!!! Yes! Making the most of the space! NICE ORGANISED MATCHING STORAGE BOXES! JUMPER HANGING RACK THINGS FROM IKEA!
