Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 30th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 48th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

Shit me tee, are you having a baby?!

Were your cramps with any regularity fatty? Exciting thought!

Not really had prawns but saw the same as you on NHS toast - if cooked then fine.

Me and DH have been through the top 100 names for boys and girls this evening - that's 200 names. We have about 4 that we even remotely agree on. It's not going well!

London tomorrow, and it peak travel. Oh god, what a stupid idea!

Purpleball · 09/06/2015 21:48

Tee we need an update. Hope you're ok Smile

Dulcet we went through 500 boy and 500 girl names on my app. We also have a shortlist and I don't love any of the boys names Hmm
I want a Finley but miserable bastard DH won't let me
I might have to start emotional blackmail and tell him when he goes through pregnancy he can choose the name Grin

goodnessgraciousgouda · 09/06/2015 22:04

My view is that both parties get a veto over any and every name that they absolutely hate, or intensely dislike.

In any other circumstance, unless the man involved actively dislikes/hates the name in question, the woman should get to choose the name.

I'd change this view if:

Children aren't automatically/routinely expected to take the man's last name, even when the couple aren't married
The man is happy to not drink booze/smoke/have more than one coffee/ski/ dive for the duration of the pregnancy.

Granted all the actual biological stuff the man doesn't have an option to share in, but I only know one - ONE - man, who gave up booze and all that malarky in solidarity with his wife whilst she was pregnant.

Indigoblue2 · 09/06/2015 22:12

tee hope you're in business!!

LaLaLaaaa · 09/06/2015 22:29

I think tee might be having a baby! This is very exciting!

Hope you're ok tee!

Don't worry about weight early on viroids as it should balance out. I put on over a stone in first tri because the only thing I could eat was lard (ok crisps really but may as well be lard!). I got healthier in 2nd tri. Equally many people lose weight in first tri due to sickness then get appetite back

Sorry for your worries purple I am sure they'd let you know if they were concerned. Will read back through properly tomorrow as I'm working from home.

ChatEnOeuf · 09/06/2015 22:50

With you on the names rules Gouda. DH and I created a shortlist each and any common names were allowed onto the names list. Of course when TinyChat arrived none of our names felt right, so I forced DH to break his 'no gender ambiguity' rule.

Try not to worry about fat or skinny tummies on you or your babies. Eat well, or as well as you can.

Hope all is going well Tee!

Pisghetti · 10/06/2015 00:22

Ooh Tee I hope that sweet epidural is doing its thang and TinyTee is outta there soon!

Purple maybe only allow DP one veto (on the basis that you're the pregnant one!) then pretend to love something outrageous so he uses his veto and you get Finley in through the back door.

DS and I went through the top 100 girls name and agreed on one. She got it as a middle name. Her first name will never make the top 100 and is a bit marmitey but we liked it so stuck with it. We'd agreed on it before we knew we were having a girl. If she hates it when she's older then she has a normal middle name to fall back on! Charlotte was a name we both initially liked but I'm so relieved we didn't pick it just before Princess Charlotte rocked up!

I don't eat meat or fish so didn't really have any thoughts on rare steaks or shellfish. I love all the cheese - except Brie (and I don't eat out and out non veggie cheeses like Parmesan) but the soft/unpasteurised cheese rule is based on the risk of listeria and if you look at the causes of listeria outbreaks they tend to be fruit and vegetables so...... Being pregnant did help me blag an alternative veggie option because the token option had Brie though. I was much laxer when I was pregnant with DS and ate things like haribo all the time which is basically like eating pork scratchings Wink

Signal is terrible here, but quick update...
Came in at 2ish with leaky mess, strapped up for a trace for an hour in ante natal assessment, mw unhappy with my blood pressure and tiny tee's heart rate, had a speculum exam - cervix closed, and waters were writtenoff. Went to a side room for another trace and mw wanted to check pad, and as she did I gushed a load of red fluid. Had been having cramps as you're all bored to death of knowing, but come 5pm I started contracting ever 7 minutes for about 30 secs. Told me to go for a walk and come back in an hour, and I'm still here, just had a shot of morphia. bP is down, but still leaking like a sieve and my cervix is really high and surprise, surprise, tiny tee is back to back.
Girls, I will not lie, it hurts. I'm not dilating, but I'm contracting really hard. No epidural for me yet....they're hoping the morphine makes me a bit less tense- my back is just the pits during contractions. I've had a bath and I cried when I got out because the pain is that strong. Reassessment at 6am, and then mw said that labour ward and consultant will revisit 'the plan '. I'm in a really nice low risk room at the moment because hilariously in not considered to be in established labour. Water are still bloody and leaky.
Will keep you posted, but the morph is making me feel a bit twatted!

:( so sorry tee that you're still waiting and tiny tee is being a minx. Rest up as much as you can xx

Toast85 · 10/06/2015 06:26

Oh tee, sorry to hear this. Hope this morning brings more action and a baby before the day is done.

DulcetMoans · 10/06/2015 06:34

Hope there's been some progress since then tee and you've been reassessed. Something is happening, just not clear when I guess!

Haribo is not pork scratchings pis, I will not hear that about delicious sweeties!

I'm not on board with the woman choosing the name thing I'm afraid, I want it to be as mutual as possible. If it's a case that something is on the list which he likes but he prefers something else then maybe there is something there to say she gets final say but I wouldn't assume I get to chose because I have birth.

That's why we need a few names chat, we are indecisive and changed both our cats names after a couple of weeks so can only imagine we would be worse with a child! My DH has some funny rules on names too - no names after flowers, gem stones, moods and nothing pre shortened ie. Charles not Charlie. Makes it harder!

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 07:15

Tee hope you're ok and things are moving.

Dulcet I know. I was being a bit facetious Smile

NFMA my jeremies are getting worse. Feels like there's a space hopper between my arse cheeks Hmm. Any advice?

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 07:27

Morning!

Chat - how are you?

Names - we drew up list of those we like then each took it and starred those we love and crossed out ones we don't. We were left with about 5. It's got to be mutual, he's our child not just mine. Dh has frankly weird taste in names so it's been a challenge! Currently waiting to see what my bro and sil call theirs - really hope it's not the same as the name we've chosen! We are totally struggling with middle name. We want a Scottish middle name but it can't start with A otherwise initials will be BAW and he'll be 'bawbag' for the rest of his life Grin

Purple I've no idea sorry! I've been checking for jezzers but so far seem to have avoided them.

My hips are throbbing. Actual throbbing! Might need to start taking paracetamol.

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 07:30

Purple could you try occasionally dropping Finlay into conversation to make it more normal to him? My Dh did this to me with the cats name (he is named after a wookie!)

Hobbit19 · 10/06/2015 07:34

Sending you all the love Tee (Come ooooon Tee's cervix, sort yourself out!) Sorry you are in pain Tee but gx you will have your little boy in your arms by the end of the day!

WilHarlot · 10/06/2015 07:34

I hope things are ok Tee, sounds a bit scary for you.

I hated choosing names. What should have been fun just turns into misery when you can't agree on anything. I'm not mad keen on microwil's name but I do at least think it suits her. MrWil not a fan of MiniWil's name. I suppose at least we like one each.

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 07:42

Do you think I could cut my legs off and it would hurt less than the hips?

Tee! Hope minitee turns and comes flying out easily today. Or at least he's born soon so you get to stop being in pain :( hope they assess you quickly

WilHarlot · 10/06/2015 07:45

Missed the Finlay chat Purple. Does your DH think it's weird? Come on holiday to Scotland to acclimatise him Grin .

Don't like Fraser La? It's tricky with your chosen first name I think as lots of nice Scottish boys names end in the same letter and so don't necessarily flow.

batfish · 10/06/2015 07:48

Oh tee it sounds like this is it! Sending lots of pain free vibes and hoping all goes well Smile

Ouch la you poor thing the hips sound horrid Sad

Well I was absolutely shattered last night so went to bed at 8.30 as couldn't concentrate on studying for today's exam Sad Slept until 7am and it was even a struggle to get up then! Feeling very rested though so I'm hoping I will be able to think straight this afternoon. My proudest achievement yesterday was sitting through a 3.5 hour exam without having to go for a wee Smile

batfish · 10/06/2015 07:50

We really like Finlay but one of my best friends has a little boy called Finlay so it's out for us. Mr bat keeps going on about Finbar but I don't like that and it would still shorten to Fin therefore still same name as my friend! We are on Flynn at the mo so similar but not the same Smile

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 07:51

Fraser is nice and on the list but Dh doesn't like it. Robert would work really well but it's my dfs name Nd I don't want to name after my df! He's not even bothered to come see me since I got pg and checks in to ask how I am only when he wants something

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 07:52

Good luck bat!

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 07:58

La what about Mackenzie, Callum, Logan, Fraser, James
Loving the bawbag comment, reminded me of hurricane bawbag a couple of years ago!

Off to the Pod to sort my gammy feet today. Had to get DH to remove the polish. It was hilarious. Needless to say there are still bits of polish on them!

Bat I like Flynn but DH doesn't.
I might start calling my bump Finley and see if it works
I don't want to use a name he dislikes, I'm just hoping it grows on him. He's not completely vetoed Oscar but I don't love it. He wants Harrison which again I don't love
Daniel is my favourite but it's already in the family and we aren't naming after anyone

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 07:59

La I hope the pain stops. Is it worth a trip to the GP?
Glad you don't have jeremies but I'd rather them than SPD

LaLaLaaaa · 10/06/2015 08:04

They just te me to take paracetamol and do my Physio exercises :(

James is out as its dhs Middle mame and he hates it and my ex was Logan. Problem is I know so many twattish guys with scots names so they are all tainted!

We live Angus but bawbag is not an option...
