Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 30th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 48th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

Actually dulcet I've been getting those pains and I thought it was more baby/BH than SPD as it feels different. I do get a bit stabby fanjo especially if I walk or stand lots.

Pixie it's natural to be scared - but you coped last time and you will be fine this time. No pushing this time too Grin. Take any offers of help you get x

This is on my app 'The good news is that by the end of this week, your pregnancy will be full-term and you could give birth any day.'

Really? Has anyone actually given birth earlier rather than later, unless there were special circumstances eg diabetes, twins etc? A girl on July thread Facebook group says she's in labour and she is 36+6

LaLaLaaaa · 14/06/2015 07:05

Any of you later ladies getting quite severe BH? Mine are ramping up quite a lot. Came out cinema on Friday and it was v sore across bump and back. I guess it's getting ready.

When are we meant to start drinking RLT?

DulcetMoans · 14/06/2015 07:09

Didn't think it could be BH la, maybe. Just not sure. I did think that maybe it is when the baby pushes down, which make sense that there are more now as I think it moved lower.

And all the stories I hear recently are people going earlier! Girl in NCT group, two ladies at work, those July ladies. After 37 weeks it's fair game so I guess we best be prepared! I just need to make it to Thursday to make it to the birth centre! That's the goal!

LaLaLaaaa · 14/06/2015 07:15

Fuuuuck. Ok I thought I was ready but I'm definitely not. Nursery not done, bag not packed, car seat still in the loft.

Yeah I think I get those pains when I stand up and it's like baby shoots down into my bits and hurts. I'm also getting freaky alien movements. The little bugger loves to punch me in the bladder and I have a bum on the right hand side that pushes out of my stomach

LaLaLaaaa · 14/06/2015 07:16

Fil wants us to drive him to see some long lost relative 30 miles today so it's not likely I'll get anything done today either. Oh well...

LaLaLaaaa · 14/06/2015 07:17

Ooh Rhi how was the party?

Toast85 · 14/06/2015 07:21

My friend had her first 2 weeks early la, no issues/problems etc just a quick 3hrs ish between waters going and baby arriving! So keep that hospital bag close by just in case!

Pixie, hope the next few days fly by- does it help to focus on a goal ie snuggling your lovely new baby for the first time? You're doing really well and you've totally got this, you'll be fab!

How have you guys worked out how much mat leave you can afford? I can't get my head around it, it seems impossible to work out actual amount I'll get each month after tax, ni, pension etc (work can average out monthly payments instead of money tailing off). I find numbers too abstract and struggle to turn it into something I can get hold of in my mind and compare the monthly amount (pre-tax) to what we have now. I think we got there but I don't feel confident about it! It's a big decision!

Toast85 · 14/06/2015 07:25

Ooh sorry la - cross posted with your last few posts and now my comment sounds v insensitive! You'll be fine though don't worry, even if baby is early you will cope! Stuff can come out the loft quickly and even if you just have a list of stuff for dp to fling together last minute into a bag, baby won't mind how well organised your hospital bag was!

rm00054 · 14/06/2015 07:51

I get really strong bh La and tbh I quite enjoy them! They're uncomfortable but reassures me that my body knows exactly what it should do. I think the recommendation for rlt is 36-37 weeks? I've had a cup a day for 2 weeks now, going to up it to 2 cups soon. I don't know if it does anything tbh, but I've got nothing better to do than sit and drink tea while on mat leave!

rm00054 · 14/06/2015 07:59

My bag's not packed either. I'm still using loads of the stuff they say to include. I've got a list with everything needed so if worst comes to worst dh should be able to finish off packing it for me!

I went into hospital yesterday for reduced movements, they were so lovely but I felt a bit of a plonker going in and everything was fine. Naughty baby has turned over though, he's now back to back :( I think that's why I didn't feel as much movement. But I spent the entirety of last night watching tv on the floor with my bum in the air trying to turn him back! Silly baby, he's been in the correct birthing position since about 32 weeks, and now decides to change! I blame too much sitting around on mat leave, why do they tell you to rest as much as you can?! I wish I had ignored it all and stayed as active as I usually was when at work!

Purpleball · 14/06/2015 08:39

When's the window getting done La?

Toast it depends on your tax code but if you're on 1000L that means you have to earn £833 a month before you pay tax. You may also get some tax back when your pay drops, it depends when in the tax year it is. Your payroll or HR dept should be able to tell you what mat pay you'll get.

Purpleball · 14/06/2015 08:40

RM glad the movements are ok. Hope baby moves again. And pack that bag!

jellypi3 · 14/06/2015 08:47

My friend had her baby 2 weeks early, she was going to be induced the day after she went into labour because he was "big" but she went herself at 38 weeks. Baby was 8Ib 11!!!

batfish · 14/06/2015 09:26

Glad everything was ok when you went into hospital rm - never feel a plonker if you're worried!

Thanks for the replies re cot - I meant the normal cots rather than the bedside ones. We are not looking especially for a drop down one but just that we saw one we liked and it was on sale and it happened to have drop down side. I think I want to have a cot bed ideally so we can use for longer.

LaLaLaaaa · 14/06/2015 09:26

Yeah - I always thought babies were late but I'm hearing many stories just now about early babies. I'm not worried as such, but would just like to have bag packed, nursery done and have handed over my job this week first!

RM - I don't think you're ever a pain for being worried about reduced movements. It's so so important that you report reduced movements. My friend's baby nearly died - she was nearly due and baby suddenly wasn't moving so much anymore. They rushed her to hospital and delivered him straight away - turned out he was quite poorly but because they caught it he was treated and absolutely fine. Luckily she was on the ball and reported it straight away. Hope that doesn't worry anyone, but it is really important.

Also thanks for the reminder to keep sitting forward! My baby's in right position just now and every time I find myself lounging back on sofa dh says 'sit up!' to remind me. I've taken to sitting on my ball because it keeps posture in the right place with knees below hips. Most people in my NCT group seem to be having problems with baby turning the wrong way. One girl was meant to be having a home birth but baby has gone transverse so she's not allowed it anymore. One other at least is breach. I'm hoping mine stays where he is!

Toast - find out what your company's policy is and what still comes off (pension, tax, NI etc.). Use the gov.uk maternity pay tool to help, I found it really useful.

Purple - dunno :( apparently the windows have arrived but now he has to book in for them to be fitted. Absolutely fed up with it, the nursery is just a big pile of stuff waiting to be put in the right place. Dh has booked carpet cleaner for Tuesday so at least that bit is getting done. He keeps saying he doesn't understand what the big deal is and why I can't just do the nursery, but I want the window fixed first!!! I've got all this lovely stuff for my baby and don't want it potentially covered in dust.

Girl in my fit mummmy class had her baby 5 weeks early - no particular reason or complication, just early. I bet mine's late though, I just have this feeling...

LaLaLaaaa · 14/06/2015 10:29

Ahhhhhhh! I need a bit of a rant.

Why oh why do people not understand how tired you are when you're in 3rd trimester and insist on filling your days with their stuff/commitments? It's happened every week now to me since I can remember. People turn up, or they arrange for a small visit that turns into a long one, or a small favour I offer to do turns into a bloody massive one!

I just want to be left alone now :(

Dhs dad came for lunch yesterday which was lovely. But then he said could we (today) drive him 30 miles to visit a long lost relative? Reluctantly we said ok because he's come all the way from Scotland.

Now it's can dh drive him 30 miles meanwhile dhs stepmum joins me 'for a quiet day in the house with you'. Translated as I have to sit and entertain her for 6 hours until they get back!!!!

I don't want to sit and talk to someone for 6 hours. I'm too tired. I want to sit on my arse and watch TV or do some painting or even doing my work would be preferable! And I want to see my dh and spend time with him before the baby! And we were going to order the last few things today and paint over the marks on the wall left by when sil came to stay for a week instead of the 2 days we to her she could!

Why don't people get this?

I'm tired. Please fuck off and leave me alone :(

gaggiagirl · 14/06/2015 10:31

All babies are late in gaggiaLand. I dont know anyone who popped early.

Purpleball · 14/06/2015 10:42

Oh La tell her you're knackered and not up to much today so she might have more fun if she goes with them, you might not be good company.

We've just spent half an hour watching my bump move, it's the first time it's happened. It's so lovely but a bit weird too!

Off to get the donated stuff from my brother shortly, then maybe a nearly new sale.

If we have time then hopefully going back to IKEA to swap the wrong poang cushion for the right one. I definitely got it from the right place but it's a footstool one so fuck all use on a chair no room in nursery for footstool and I'd trip over it

Oh and then I'm flying to Belfast tonight for work, back on Thursday and trying not to irrationally panic about early labour while I'm there

LaLaLaaaa · 14/06/2015 10:49

Oooh maybe the poang cushion might fit my rocking chair! I'll have a look online, great shout purple!

That's so cute about you watching bump :)

Gaggia I'm sure this one will be late. I'm ignoring all early stories from now on

Have told them I want to spend day with dh so I'm driving

Fleurchamp · 14/06/2015 10:51

Sorry chat I missed the news about Sam's service. I am glad the Belgian one went well and wish you all the best for Tuesday xx

I am convinced I am going to be early, family history, but now panicking that I will be late and into August. My bump hasn't dropped and I don't think I have had any BHs yet Confused

I am sorting out my bag(s) today though. Putting stuff I can in the bag and leaving a list of other stuff on top for DH to get together during early labour.

DH is going to put the isofix base in the car next week too.

I am like you la I have most things but they are not yet set up/ washed/ in the right place and I am starting to get nervous that I will be dashing around sorting things out when the baby arrives.

DulcetMoans · 14/06/2015 11:14

There were two ladies in yoga that went early too. They worked at the same place and were a week apart with due dates and went a week apart whilst at work! That wasn't a fun story. I always assumed it would be late - before being pregnant everyone U knew was late! Now it's all about being early - but mostly after 37 weeks though. My current fear is just getting through this last week at work without dropping! Ideally is like another week to get myself sorted. I'd take 38 weeks.

Glad you got seen rm, always worth getting checked. Did they give you tips of how to move the position? I had heard the all fours one was a good one that's what got us in this mess! Wink

Is that your last flight at least purple? I'm certain you will be fine, just better when you don't have to think about it and keep your feet on the ground!

I'm with you la! I feel like I'm being a sulky bastard but I want some time to myself. People keep saying about meeting me and not really appreciating that I'm running out of time! I think you have a difficult dad relationship too? Even he is starting to make it hard this week. Just let me hibernate!

Hobbit19 · 14/06/2015 11:16

Oh dear La, can you sniff some gin or something? Flowers for you. I think maybe you need to start being a bit blunt/selfish as you need to rest and relax before baby comes. 'I'm not feeling too well/I need to lie down/I need to rest/DH and I still have lots to do to prepare for baby' all legitimate excuses not to have to see/interact with other people for a while! Hope you are okay .

Pisghetti · 14/06/2015 13:35

I think wanting to be alone (by yourself or with your partner) is actually a nesting thing. It's like you want to create a quiet, safe space around you before the baby comes so having people in the house or being away from home disrupts that.

Purpleball · 14/06/2015 15:46

Hope you're having a nice day anyway La.

Dulcet I'm hoping you get some chill time too.

I'm currently sitting outside ikea while DH sorts the cushion Smile

I just want to be at home with DH. This is my last flight and I'm away for 4 nights which I hate. I'll miss him too much. He likes me being home now where he can look after me - bless

Filled my estate car with stuff from brother and SIL. There's bags of clothes, swing chair, bouncer, 2 Moses baskets and steriliser.
Also went to a nearly new sale and got a swaddle wrap and a few blankets - new in bagsSmile
God knows where it will also! Still need to clear my office. And get the crib from my friend. I might put her off a couple of weeks

batfish · 14/06/2015 16:49

Oh nooooo I just sneezed and a little bit of wee came out Shock I haven't been doing my pelvic floors, never even think too - I think they are becoming more urgent!!
