Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 30th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 48th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

So glad it went well Chat and hope things go smoothly with the trip home Thanks (cakes sound delicious).

Niffertiti · 13/06/2015 18:08

Chat hope the service today was healing - it must be such a difficult thing to do, I have no idea how you're coping. I'm sure there must be a lot we don't see on here but it seems like you're being so strong. It's really remarkable. I'll be thinking of you for the UK service x

At dh's parents for the weekend and we told his granny today - she knew we were trying and was really excited for us, very lovely! It's always a bit bittersweet telling family as they are extremely happy for us but all know we'll be on the other side of the world when micronif arrives (fingers crossed touching wood).

As promised scan pick below.

We sat down and worked out mat pay the other day.

We have decided that I am going to take the full 12 months off and will take the same amount of "me" money each month for the duration. We are going to put aside some money to ease the three months where I will get nothing.

We won't get CB as DH earns over the threshold, which is nice but I gather I have the choice of applying, taking the money and then paying it back via a tax return or not applying and losing the NI benefits whilst I am not working - does anyone know anything about it?

PixieChops · 13/06/2015 18:52

Glad it was a lovely service Chat and hope the one in the UK is just as lovely too x I can't imagine what you must be going through but you are so strong and I really admire you for that. EnvyThanks

I'm not entitled to any kind of benefit and no maternity pay due to me being unemployed. I'm currently claiming EESA but after August I'll probably not be entitled to that either. So it'll just be working tax credits, child benefit and child tax credits that we'll be claiming until I can go back to work Confused

Working tax credits have however paid me back a lot of money that they owed me from last year. It's taken them since February but it's come in so useful. I now feel completely ready for new baby and have everything we need Smile
Dragged mother around the shops today to get the last few bits and treated myself to a pair of size 10 jeans which I'm hoping I'll be back in by next week and if I'm not Ill make it my goal to get in them by the end of the year!

All I need todo now is pack my hospital bag which is what I'm planning on doing tomorrow at some point.

batfish · 13/06/2015 18:59

chat I'm so pleased you had a lovely service and hope the UK goes well, would love some lemon drizzle cake please Smile I didn't know his name was Sam, really cute.

Does anyone know what the crack is with drop side cots? We nearly bought one in the sale today and then I remembered I had read bad things so had a quick Google and found tons of horror stories so we didn't get it. Further investigation talks about them being banned but then they are for sale on UK websites - was it a temporary ban and they have changed them so they are now OK? Or were they only banned in certain countries?

RhiannonElward · 13/06/2015 19:03

Chat I'm glad you found Sam's service beautiful, Flowers to you and your family. Cake sounds lovely too.

Niffertiti · 13/06/2015 19:23

Chat sorry I've just realised it was really insensitive to post the scan pic on the same msg, hope it didn't upset you. I was in a massive rush and just didn't think. Sorry.

gaggiagirl · 13/06/2015 19:34

Hello!
Just checking in. I've started a new book so I haven't had a good chance to lurk as often.
We got picked for the mumsnet brantano product test so DD got 3 new pairs of shoes today.
Can someone change the stats sheet for me from 32 to weeps 33? And also that we aren't finding out the flavour?. I managed to look at the stats at work but still couldn't change it.

mountaingirl01 · 13/06/2015 19:34

chat glad your service was lovely, Ican't imagine what you must be going through, I'm just glad you have lots of support x

I'm trying the nanny state beer that you recommended la and it's really pretty good!

gaggiagirl · 13/06/2015 19:37

chat I'm glad the service did your Sam proud. I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday.

Jcandy · 13/06/2015 19:45

Done gaggia Smile

Lovely scan photo niff

Glad it went well chat hope the UK one goes well too

ChatEnOeuf · 13/06/2015 20:23

Not at all Niff, I wouldn't come here if seeing other people's happy news made me sad. We've all been on the ttc journey, I want to see us all mums Flowers

Purpleball · 13/06/2015 20:54

Chat I hope the services in some way help. I struggle to know what I say but believe better to say something than nothing. I hope you're holding up ok and the service on Tuesday goes ok too Thanks
If you could post some cake to Yorkshire that would be fab Smile

If you register for child benefit but don't claim it you'll get the NI credit so if you're not planning to return to work, it's important as otherwise you might not have enough credit for a state pension. If you are returning to work it's probably less crucial as long as you still pay NI but no harm in doing it.

If you get the child benefit and DH earns over the threshold he will have to pay it back out of his tax code so possibly not much point. Just make sure to tell them straight away otherwise you could face a big bill Hmm

We've dumped loads at the charity shop today so I feel better for clearing out and helping the local hospice. We went to IKEA and got some malm drawers and a poang chair for the nursery Grin and other crap then went to see my friend with her 12 week old and had lovely baby cuddles Grin

jellypi3 · 13/06/2015 20:56

LaLaLaaaa · 13/06/2015 21:02

LaLaLaaaa · 13/06/2015 21:11

Niff I can't see scan photo on app but glad it went well!

Purpleball · 13/06/2015 21:38

Arse! Picked up wrong poang cushion!

gaggiagirl · 13/06/2015 21:42

Thank you candy !!!!!!!!!!

DulcetMoans · 13/06/2015 21:45

Glad it went as well as you could have hoped chat. I hope the same for the UK trip too - I am sure it will be nice to back near family for a bit too.

That kopperburg non-alcoholic is so sweet la but I do love it!

bat, the bedside cot thing wasn't a problem with the cot itself, more the way it was used. Really tragic story but the couple left the side down and the baby managed to drop it's head over the edge and cut of its oxygen supply. Had the side been back up that wouldn't have happened which is what the coroner said and why it was in the news. It's not a reason to not get one on itself own.

Can someone tell me if the pelvic pain you have all mentioned ever shows itself in the groin area? Something going on there the past couple weeks and not sure what!

LaLaLaaaa · 13/06/2015 22:07

Do you mean co sleeping cot like bednest bat or drop side standard cot?

Dulcet pelvic girdle pain (spd) is collective name for any pain across your pelvis during pregnancy, caused by relaxin stretching ligaments etc. so it would include that area I believe?

Lookingforadvice123 · 13/06/2015 22:52

chat I'm so glad the service went well.

nif great pic, almost looks like it's sucking its thumb!

Spent all day at a boozy family celebration for my lovely grandad's 90th. Was so jealous when my dad was popping the champagne, especially as my grandad, uncle/auntie and cousins don't know so had to use the excuse that I was driving. I'm 11 weeks Monday and feeling more content for the first time as we had another successful scan on Thursday which measured 10+4. So it's even harder to not tell people, still have to wait until the 25th.

Purpleball · 13/06/2015 23:01

Looking I'm so glad you had a good scan. It makes it more real i find SmileSmile

WilHarlot · 13/06/2015 23:40

Bat the ban on drop-side cots was/is a US ban. Again, like the thing with the bednest, I think most accidents were from misuse. Not sure how much you'd actually drop the side in reality though - sometimes they can be a bit fiddly.

PixieChops · 14/06/2015 06:08

Yep Dulcet that does sound like SPD to me!

We've got a Chicco "Next 2 me" cot as I think it will be easier as with having a c section.

Had a bit of a wobble about that again last night... Looked at my hospital bag and was panicking thinking that I'm not ready to have another baby Confused bit friggin late now! Hoping I (wo)man up before Wednesday because at the moment I'm bricking it! I think it's more I'm worried how I'm going to cope with 2 babies under 14 months. I do have a lot of support (well people have made offers to help but that kind of happened last time and then nobody could be arsed Hmm) and I will get through it, I mean I have to, there's no other way.
I'm also scared about leaving DD. I will miss her so much I just hope I make a quick recovery from the op and I can go home. The thought of having to stay in hospital for any length of time is filling me with dread to be perfectly honest.
So sorry about the "me, me, me" post but I find writing some of this down helps and at the moment I'm waking up worrying about stuff that I physically have no control over (typical GAD sufferer lol) I've been awake since 5am and just can't sleep because I keep having dreams Confused I just need it to be over!

DulcetMoans · 14/06/2015 06:53

Great news on the successful scan looking, so close to sharing the big news now! Hope you've got some things to distract you.

It's natural to worry pixie, especially in those circumstances. Hopefully by the time the baby is here you will feel better and it will work itself out. You may just have to tell the friends and family what you need - don't let them forget!

Thanks for the spd advice. Not saying it is that but keep getting shooting type pain in the groin unexpectedly and it's been more regular the last week or so. Makes my legs a bit weak!
