Hey everyone! Welcome to the newbies (glad you found us wizard Smile)

purdie it's perfectly normal for symptoms to come and go, you might wake up feeling sick again tomorrow Flowers

Got my booking in appointment today for 6th July. I'm lucky with my gp that I just had to pop in and fill out some forms and they booked me straight in with the midwife. Feels like aaaages away though! They also sent off my scan request form to the hospital while I was there, don't know how long it will take to get an appointment though.

I am planning a water birth with this baby, I had my heart set on it for dd but they refused me in the end as I was so overdue and had to be induced.

I feel fine tonight. Very unpregnant. I just keep telling myself that at this point in my first pregnancy (4+4) I didn't even know yet, and only guessed by the missed period so obviously didn't have any symptoms then either. I was lucky last time that although I was nauseous for a few weeks I didn't actually throw up at all until I was in labour so I hope it's the same this time Smile

Purdipie ....just remember that right now lots of the people who will end up in this group don't even know they're pregnant yet....the only sign that will encourage some people to test be their missed period. I'm not even a week late yet.... First time around for me I didn't notice till 6 weeks that my period was a fortnight late....no other symptoms except occassionally sore boobs that I put down to a bad bra!

It is totally normal for symptoms to come and go.

LynnieLurker · 08/06/2015 21:16

Carltonlives....we are booking in the same day. I'm due around 12th feb. Wonder is we are due date buddies?

My docs no where near as efficient as yours though, no scan request. Am considering a reassurance one at 8 weeks 2 days. £99 round these parts....Hmm

Carltonlives · 08/06/2015 21:18

lynnie I'm due the 11th feb Smile

Carltonlives · 08/06/2015 21:19

Unless I suspect a problem I won't be having a scan until the nhs one at 12 weeks. Now that really does feel like ages away!!

christianmama · 08/06/2015 21:39

Glad to hear others are considering water births too, my local maternity unit has just installed quite a few so hoping I can jump in one next Feb!

My hubby is also a pastor too and it's really to see other Christians in the group!!

purdiepie · 08/06/2015 21:49

Lynnie, I think I'm worried because I have been so nauseous/sick and today is the first time I have had nothing.

rallytog1 · 08/06/2015 21:55

purdie my symptoms are fluctuating from day to day, and they totally did the same in my last pregnancy - which resulted in what is now a very lively and loud 2yo dd. I spent a lot of that one feeling very anxious and was convinced something had gone wrong. It's so blimmin hard.

Nice to see some fellow god-botherers on here too. We go to an evangelical church. Dd likes to think she's the pastor.

Valiant1 · 08/06/2015 22:08

Hello I found you all wow a mahoosive thread lol midwife rang tonight booked in for the 30th june told my manager today. I work in a very active job and have been offered my dream job. Wanted to make sure they not going sack me. They not so can relax now. I am in bigger trousers too just lost 3st although am still going to be careful with what I eat. Wow it feels good to talk about being pregnant.

GoulashSoup · 08/06/2015 22:30

Evening all. purdie symptoms will fluctuate.

Thought I'd update on my wobble yesterday. The spotting/bleed and cramps subsided and I had a good night. Today I have been fine and I'm dry wretching away so defo pregnant. The episode has worried DH who has banned sex (it wasn't a post sex bleed). I have been far too tired and feeling about as sexy as a farting sack of spuds, but I am really annoyed with DH for banning sex Angry.

I think it was rafferty that mentioned Stilton, it is safe according to the NHS website. Apparently not moist enough. Enjoy food while you can, plain porridge for dinner here.

LynnieLurker · 09/06/2015 06:35

Morning everyone!

Purdipie hope you are waking up feeling nausea again...it is horrible but so reassuring at the same time!

That's an impressive loss Valiant! I lost 2 stone to get ready for this but could/should have lost more ....so I have a similar mission.
Carlton - I am going to try and hold off....but think it will depend!

That's very annoying if your husband Soup, even if it does come from the right place?

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

WizardSong · 09/06/2015 06:48

Carlton and lynnie I'm due then too Grin Well 1 calculator said 11th and another said 12th. Exciting!

I was going to phone my GP tomorrow for the midwife but don't know if there's much point yet if they won't see me for a while yet?

Rose85 · 09/06/2015 06:56

Morning ladies,

Has anyone started telling people yet?

Reason I ask is that it's my mums birthday this week so thought it would be nice to tell her then (1st grandchild), however, I'm really apprehensive because I have had no systems other than bloating in the evening so it's hard to kinda believe there's anything in there.

I know if the worst did happen id tell my mum anyway, but in a way I don't want to get her hopes up, we lost my dad a couple of years ago so I'm probably being over protective of her.

I'm trying not to think anything will happen and be positive and remind myself that today I am pregnant etc. and that I shouldn't be wishing morning sickness on myself!

Is anyone having an early scan? Seriously considering this

RattyCatty · 09/06/2015 07:01

Rose we have told a handful of friends who would notice immediately if I wasn't drinking (!) but havent told family yet. I think I would tell them if something goes wrong but I don't want to worry them early on if that makes sense? I agree re not really feeling pregnant, I think I'm 6 weeks & only really feel tired!
Happy Tuesday everyone!

RattyCatty · 09/06/2015 07:03

Also - think I will get an early scan as 12 week scan due around a wedding I'm a bridesmaid at... If it's after I would like one before as might have to tell bride otherwise she'll force fizz down my throat! Grin

LynnieLurker · 09/06/2015 07:28

Hi Rose85....we're considering one. I'm in 2 minds really though. It probably only reassures for a day or 2 and then it's back to waiting for the 12 week. I keep telling myself that a scan isn't going to keep this bean any safer/healthier than it would be without a scan but then I think to find out all is well at 8 weeks would be lovely! I'm going to wait to the end of this week when I'll be 5 weeks and see how I'm feeling.

SweetCharlotteRose · 09/06/2015 07:31

STILL 2-3 with fmu at 5+2 today.
Most stories like this do not end well. Certain of dates.

Going to go and see GP today, I know nothing can be done but I need to know either way. I want a hcg test, will go privately if needs be but I cannot cope in this limbo.

Lilymog · 09/06/2015 07:34

Don't give up hope SweetCharlotte, every day you don't bleed you are still pregnant. Digital CB's are the worst and you can't rely on them. Chin up and let us know how you get on xx

SweetCharlotteRose · 09/06/2015 07:38

I will but even some gps if you search online say that if it isn't showing a rise as it should then there's something wrong.
It's so unfair - all this will have done is broken my heart and meant we can't have donor treatment in the summer. In fact rather than resulting in a baby it's not only going to do the opposite it's also going to mean I've got no chance this summer either. It's like a curse.

GoulashSoup · 09/06/2015 08:10

Charlotte good luck with the GP, I hope you can get some reassurance. I still hold out hope that you will be pleasantly surprised Flowers.

MoreCakeMoreCake · 09/06/2015 08:11

Hello!
Got my BFP on Fri & am now 4+4, so very very early days. Due around 11 Feb.
This will be DC2 and I had a very early mc at Easter (actually at 4+4 so bit nervous today)
Lots of stretchy / niggly feelings at the moment and crazy weird dreams (hormones??). No nausea yet thankfully, my 1st trimester with DD was like a permanent hangover!
Congrats to all!

nightandthelight · 09/06/2015 08:12

We are having an early scan due to going abroad in July. Also if there is something wrong I would rather find out at 8 weeks than 12! At the moment it doesn't feel real so I am hoping that seeing it will change that :)

Stepawayfromthezebras · 09/06/2015 09:19

Rose we're not planning on telling anyone until 12 weeks. I don't want to get my Mum's hopes up - obviously if the worst happens I'll tell people and get their support.

It's a bit easier for me with my mates, none of them will be suspicious, they all know about our fertility problems and that I was cutting out alcohol while waiting for IVF treatment. Fella's mates don't know this so they'll probably suspect sooner, I'll try and avoid social situations with them for a bit.

Carltonlives · 09/06/2015 09:32

Morning pregnant peeps Grin

Yay wizard another due date buddy! And morecake too! Welcome Smile

rose we haven't told family yet, I want to wait a while longer really but dh is away for a week at the end of the month and I will be on my own with the toddler so considering telling my mum just before then in case I feel sick and need help with her. Will see how I feel I think.

charlotte I hope it goes well for you at the doctors, let us know how you get on Flowers

purdie how are you feeling this morning?

Hope everyone else is well
